Any update on what aliyah and Dakota kai are doing since being released from wwe ?
Aliyah hasn't been taking a ton of wrestling bookings or appearances, but did wrestle twice at Destiny in Canada, and became their women's champion. She also did a recent interview with CJ Perry/Lana for her podcast. Her name had been tossed around in one company to appear in a stable, but it didn't end up happening.
Dakota Kai has been streaming, and preparing for her next move. I was told to not be surprised to see her end up wrestling dates in Japan. I know that she recently had new gear made, so she will continue wrestling.
Hi, Sean. Is there enough backstage info to eventually make a Fightful Select story on the Stat/Deathriders angle, especially the awesome post-match segment we saw on Wednesday? If so, please take the time you need and looking forward to it. If not, no worries.
Well, I'm not sure what exactly what backstage info you are after, but the angle was received very well internally. Kris Statlander is really well liked, and everyone is rooting for her success. This angle has been the plan for quite some time from what was implied to me, and the catalyst for a top push of Statlander as champion.
What are the chances TNA signs Andrade?
Andrade is free to sign anywhere that he wants, but I don't think he'll sign with TNA. Considering TNA has been happy to work with talent without having them sign a long-term contract, a lot of talent aren't keen on tying themselves down unless they're getting full-time money. There are certainly people like Moose, The Hardy Boys and others that are, but I think Andrade knows that he'll be a hot commodity outside of WWE, and there's a lot of money to be made as a high profile free agent.
EDIT: Hey guys, I think considering that we answer these on the Sunday podcast, it's pretty clear we schedule these ahead. TNA was never a serious option for Andrade.
