Which of the NXT talents do you think are set to be always in NXT? They understand their role is to help younger talent, not necessarily to go to Raw or Smackdown themselves - Shawn Spears, for example is also a coach.
I don't think outside of Shawn Spears there are any specific talent like that. Ethan Page, Ricky Starks, Jordynne Grace are all television veterans, but all have situations that could lead them to the main roster. Jordynne Grace is on a main roster deal, Chelsea Green has pitched for Ethan Page on the main roster, and Ricky Starks has main roster aspirations.
Do you see the Paramount WBD merger going through? WWE/TKO acquires AEW
Yes, I see it going through. Specifically because Paramount just made a multimillion dollar settlement/bribe to Donald Trump that will pretty well allow them to do whatever they want, because that's the way America works now.
What are you hearing about TNA wrestlers reportedly being banned from appearing in MLP?
There was some mass confusion to this, but Moose didn't lie. Moose was prohibited from doing Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, as was Jordynne Grace at one point. However, it was indicated to me it was because they were active champions in TNA. I don't know why that was the case. However, I spoke directly to TNA's Carlos Silva and Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling's Scott D'Amore, who said that TNA talent are allowed to work the company, and there's nothing preventing such.
If Britt Baker doesn’t appear in Pittsburgh is she likely done with AEW.
No, but I hope she does appear in Pittsburgh. I think there's been a lot of minimizing what she is, what she's done in AEW, and how over she's been at points. I feel like talent that miss that amount of time should get some reps before being in huge matches like she was. She still has like a year left on her contract.

On the Paramount / WBD topic, it isn't a definite done deal at all. They don't seem to be the only company involved, as it's now being reported in the trades that aside from Paramount, Netflix and NBC/Comcast/Universal are also preparing serious bids. Disney might be interested but they have too much debt to do anything (close to $47 billion compared to WBD's now $34 billion), and it's not outside the realm of possibility that Apple, Amazon or Sony make an offer. Acquiring WBD would make a lot of sense for any of those three because of streaming and library content.

2025-09-19 13:29:30 +0000 UTCLet's use a football analogy. Britt was taken 1st overall in, basically, an expansion draft. If the first pick you make in such a draft is your best player 5 years in then you failed to build your team/organization. I like Britt but there are levels to any job and she isn't at the top level anymore
