Lots of news on the WWE WrestlePalooza Branding
Added 2025-09-16 23:39:15 +0000 UTCThe first WrestlePalooza event under the WWE banner is upon us, and it's likely to be the first of many, and likely many big ones.
ESPN and WWE wanted to put forth a huge show for many reasons, the ESPN debut, competing with AEW All Out -- although the latter is more of a WWE concern than anything. But from what Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp is told, the company hopes to make WrestlePalooza a major event going forward.
Earlier this year, Fightful Select reported that WWE had considered and mentioned the idea of doing two WrestleManias in one year along with the Saudi Arabia deal. One of which would have been a special branded WrestleMania event titled "Super WrestleMania" or something of that ilk. However, the Saudi Arabian government made it clear they wanted "the" WrestleMania.
Fightful Select was told that was a big reason why WWE has went heavy into WrestlePalooza, the branding, and will likely continue that in future years. Obviously the AEW competition, the ESPN debut are huge factors, but sources in WWE tell Fightful Select that it is being looked at as something that can also help fill the gaps in future years if WrestleMania takes place outside of North America.
While it's the first WrestlePalooza in WWE, it's not the first WrestlePalooza in history. It was an ECW tradition until April 2000. Also, F1rst Wrestling had the trademark in recent years. One WWE source said that they believed that the idea to get and use the WrestlePalooza branding likely would have been that of Nick Khan's, who had been a big ECW fan in his younger years.

As Brad points out, WWE doesn't even have an official poster for Wrestlepalooza.
