Hey Sean hope all is well, was there a specific reason Clash in Paris was on a Sunday? Was it because of college football?
All I was told was that the scheduling facilitated a Sunday afternoon show. WWE typically likes to avoid huge competition with NFL, college football, or quite frankly anything that isn't AEW. There wasn't a great amount of detail I got besides it was a scheduling thing.
Do you think Tony Khan intends to consciously extend Athena's title reign past Roman's 1,316 day reign or is Athena's reign ending soon?
I don't think that anything related to the booking of Roman Reigns ever has bearing on what Tony Khan has planned, especially for ROH. I think that's where Tony Khan wanted her, and now she' s probably ready to move on up to the AEW roster and do something else. But WWE records have had no impact on Athena.
This week on ROH, female wrestler Stori Denali showed up with Mark Sterling's faction. Looked very impressive giving a male wrestler a chokeslam in the ring. How tall is she, and is she under contract at all with AEW/ROH? Thanks. AND A SECOND QUESTION What can you tell us about the new ROH amazonian Stori Denali?
We got a lot of questions about Stori Denali, and I know Tony Khan was very happy with the buzz around her and the debut. She's been wrestling for well over a year, and is a former volleyball player out of Ohio State, and is 6-foot-3. She's used a chokeslam and a seated chokeslam (the South of Heaven that Damian Priest uses) as a finish.
