What We Know About WrestleMania In Saudi, how it ties to WrestlePalooza

WrestleMania 43 in 2027 is headed to Saudi Arabia, according to Saudi Arabian adviser Turki Alalshikh.

In a snapchat video, Alalshikh stated, “WrestleMania has been announced, for the first time outside of America, WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2027.”

Fightful Select's paid tier will has more on what we've heard, which you can access by subscribing,

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp immediately reached out to WWE in an official capacity, though they had yet to respond.

One WWE higher up said "where there's smoke, there's fire," without outright confirming it. They claimed that Triple H's comments about inspiring change this week may have prefaced an incoming announcement.

PWinsider reported that there was a press release that went out and was pulled. This led to a lot of media reaching out saying they hadn't received such a thing, but based on what we were told, it was a press release in Arabic and did not go out to English speaking media.

Those that we've spoken to familiar with the situation expect three events in Saudi next year, with Royal Rumble, and then May and November shows that we've reported. We're not sure if this has affected that.

Saudi officials have made their desire to have a WrestleMania in the country clear since virtually the start of their relationship. Earlier this year Fightful was told that there had been wheels in motion to have a WrestleMania in Saudi, with the possibility of "Super WrestleMania" or other kinds of branding.

The belief internally was that the company looking to establish WrestlePalooza branding immediately as an important deal was also a way to help spread out major global events and land more site fees and create events that locations were willing to bid on.

Those that we spoke to claim there is an announcement planned for this week that was scheduled for Friday in Las Vegas. This would make since with TKO promoting Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez in Vegas, sponsored by Riyadh Season.

No blood money was offered.

Stalla

That blood money must be real irresistible.

Stalla

This company has no shame and no morals. Looking forward to wembley next August. Sportswashing comes to 'sports entertainment' .

First time WrestleMania leaves North America, and after all the begging from UK fans, aka the best and most dedicated wrestling fans on the planet, for them to get a WrestleMania in their country, the company decides to put it in a place where women don't have rights and that dismember their critics. I am sad that I lack the talent to come up with anything as ludicrous as this.

CSDX

Now is the time to boycott?

Tucker

It’s time to boycott yall

Justmask

Omg this is awful

AH

First international was Canada

Saudi basically owns SNK, and it has been linked to these major fight crossovers like WrestleMania and Canelo/Crawford. I wondered how this game that didn't sell particularly well could sponsor all these major events. Unbelievable.

We're not going to pay them to come to our capital because we dont need to pay for tourism, and they won't put these events in places that aren't paying for them to be there now, it's as simple as that. Get used to the Saudi/Vegas/Florida cycle i guess

Paul Donaldson

Honestly I thought I'd miss seeing wwe ple's but I'm not paying for espn and this news means I feel better then ever about missing wwe programming

Troy A Palek

Always thought UK would get the first one outside of North America

MrBigBadBean

Toronto had it twice, maybe they mean outside North America.

MB

Ugh.

thaddperkins
