Interesting NJPW name gaining much more power in NJPW

Sources in NJPW confirmed to Fightful that Toru Yano has taken a more important role within the company this year. We’re told that Yano has his hands in a little bit of everything, including even some influence regarding booking in the company.
Yano is still working an incredibly busy in-ring schedule full time with New Japan Pro Wrestling, competing in over 100 matches onver the past year. Yano almost exclusively wrestles tag matches, even holding the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Titles for a while. He’s only competed in one real singles match in the last year.
Gedo is still the main booker in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but several talent that we’ve spoken to have said that Yano is quickly gaining power and responsibility within the company.
