Do you think Kross is legitimately gone or is the situation a work?
I think as of the time I answer this question -- Sunday August 10, his deal has expired and he's not in WWE. I do think he could be brought back. But as of now, it's seemingly very real. There are elements to it that they've never done in a work.
I often ask about TNA Contracts coming up, so I thought I'd ask, whose contract is next up in AEW, and whose contract is next up in WWE?
"Next?" I don't know. Miz and Dragon Lee have deals coming up at the end of the year unless they've been extended. Other than that, we haven't heard of many that are up in the next year. Nick Khan's employment contract is up at the end of the year in 2026
Is it standard for WWE to immediately move former wrestlers to the alumni section of the website or does it take time?
I believe they did it to sell the Jey Uso angle a while back. However, I've never heard of WWE pulling someone's name off their internal roster to sell an angle. I don't doubt that to be something the company will do in the future though. I don't think there are any bounds they will go to in order to protect whatever work they want in the future, and that's their right to do so. I think WWE will try to do a lot of things to be the "new" work.
Edit: UPDATED to reflect Nick Khan's contract is up at the end of 2026, not 2025

That would be entertaining but highly doubtful.
