Summerslam Night 2 SCOOPS THREAD

Our Summerslam NIGHT 2 SCOOPS THREAD. This will be updated throughout the day!

• Bayley was at Bloodsport, and also spoke with some of the recruits that were at WWE tryouts. John Cena also spoke with the recruits.

• This is the least surprising thing ever, but John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes is the planned main event of night two.

• In following up after last night, WWE staff has still heard nothing about The Rock having involvement this weekend. So if that ends up being the case, it was kept very quiet.

• WWE sources claimed to us that they had no concern that Drew McIntyre would make it back to the United States for Summerslam. It was claimed to us that Bron Breakker would be okay when he limped to the back., 

• The new Becky Lynch theme that debuts tonight is a brand new song from The Wonder Years. The full version has a “The Man Has Come Around” intro. It’s been in the works for months.

• WWE trademarked "The Vision" which is expected to be the name of Seth Rollins' stable

• There were a lot of talent who left town after Smackdown Friday, and others who had to hang around for photo ops. There were a bunch of talent who also went ahead and left this morning. There are some others who effectively will have a week stay in the area through Raw.

• Wrestling Observer noted that Gunther has been dealing with an injury of late. Sources we spoke to claimed he was adamant about working through it. WWE expects him to eventually miss some time due to it, whether it be imminently or eventually

• The women's title match opens the show.

• PWN has reported that the Hardy Boyz are at Summerslam.

• The Undertaker and Michelle McCool are backstage

• One WWE higher up really put over Naomi's entrance to us.

• There was a fight between two women in the crowd during Solo Sikoa's entrance.

• The refs have been by the stage filming during the main event

• There is an Eddie Guerrero style entrance planned for tonight with a car involved.

• There is a guitar player rehearsing for Naomi's entrance

• There is a lot of chatter internally regarding the possibility of the Rock being at the show and being involved in the main event. That isn't confirmed whatsoever, and top talent hadn't and staff hadn't been briefed on it. However, the details around the main event are being intentionally kept very quiet, and much like last night, the particulars of these angles are distributed on a need to know basis. The Rock isn't featured on run sheets, but that means very little.
