News on WWE Tryouts

This week, Fightful noted that AEW veteran Leyla Hirsch was in line for a tryout as a referee. To add clarity, we're told by those close to Hirsch that she actually contacted the company about being open to working as a referee, and was able to procure a tryout. That tryout has already taken place. One WWE source said their wires got crossed on who made initial contact. As of now, we've not heard an update on her future.
That isn't the only WWE tryout, however. Fightful Select has learned more about the WWE tryouts slated for Summerslam week. These specific tryouts will be of interest as we're told that multiple experienced indie wrestlers have been contacted for them. We'll work to learn some of the names.
