Who you got for the G1 this year?
Unless he's injured for more of it than expected, I want to see Gabe Kidd win. He's next level, sells fights well, and very clearly knows what he's doing. NJPW is really good at establishing new English-speaking stars, and he's another one.
Any update on when AEW PPV will be on HBO Max??
I've not heard anything definitive, and they didn't know exactly when it would be when they nailed the deal down, but I wouldn't rule out this year.
Who is AEWS next big free agent after Danhausen/Private Party
Chris Jericho. I'm not sure if his contract is frozen during his time off, but his deal was scheduled to go through the end of the year. He re-signed shortly after 2022 All Out.

I find the discourse around Kidd so fascinating as someone who JUST got into NJPW (and really wrestling in general outside of the fed) like three months ago. I love Kidd’s work both in-ring and out, but very interesting to see more long-time fans also conflicted on his whole relationship to AEW and the Death Riders, PLUS the possibility of him overshadowing those potential home grown Japanese stars that they could be booking in that spot. Not much of a point from me here lol but been watching some of the g1 this year as well and really any of the guys you mentioned would be a pleasure to see as the top guy over in nooj, all doing great work

2025-07-23 17:19:59 +0000 UTCI will say, I like Gabe Kidd, but him winning would be a HORRIBLE misstep. NJPW needs to be investing in their homegrown Japanese stars in the world title scene, and Gabe Kidd has already gotten a LOT, winning the Global Heavyweight Championship. Whether it be Tsuji, Uemura, or hell, even Umino, they need to commit to their next generation, wholly.
