An update!
Added 2024-03-11 23:32:54 +0000 UTCThe ending went very well, as far as I can tell. Thank you all for being here for all of this. I'm sure I'll have more emotional things to say because this has been a big deal for me, but for now, I have more plans.
It's been a big journey!
As for right now, here's what I am working on:
1) Editing book 1 and putting it onto Amazon for 4.99 or 9.99 or something like that. Not on KU. This is because KU has an exclusivity requirement, and I want Ar'Kendrithyst to always be available online for everyone. Edited Book 1 will be mostly the same as the webserial version, but it will be... hmm... better edited? IDK! I've been working on some of that, but now I actually need to get down and do it.
2) Patreon billing is going to happen for one more month, and probably be put on pause after that, because—
3) I have one planned epilogue that will come out when it comes out. Probably the end of this month, and then—
4) I will be opening an Epilogue Thread on the discord today for everyone to contribute to, and then I will either pick out the epilogue ideas that I like the best and write them, or maybe we'll do a vote-thing. So come onto the discord to vote! <discord link removed because a trawling website grabbed it and we got a spammer>
5) I'll also be writing other things, and I already have major plans for one story that I am excited about, but I need to work on that more. I worked on Ar'Kendrithyst for a few months before I started writing, and that sort of work needs to happen for the new story, too.
6) I highly encourage you to drop the patreon if you're not interested in epilogues. It won't hurt my feelings! Seriously, you've all been great, I love having you here and your money, but there's no more solid story coming out on Ar'Kendrithyst. (there may be, like, 3 epilogues. 1 i have planned, 2 more from the community)
It's been so nice to have you all here, participating as an audience in the world that I built.
I'm so glad you all liked the ending and all of the journey. I'm going to miss writing about Erick and Jane so much. They turned into such a big part of my life, and I hope that they were a good influence in yours. I read the comments that go that way, and they make me feel amazing. Thanks for being here.
Life is about the journey and I wish you all the best on your travels.
Thanks for reading.

2024-03-25 19:49:39 +0000 UTCIt was so perfectly fitting, for me, that you released this when you did. I'm coming to the end of a major chapter in my own life, and coming to the end of that last chapter hurt in a way I didn't expect. Helped me face some aspects of grief I hadn't explored yet, and I'm so grateful.

2024-03-21 22:59:02 +0000 UTCI weep in both sorrow and joy. This story has probably been the best discovery I've made prowling the Internet for stories over the years. How I will miss it so and how I wish it could go on forever, but I know it cannot be... I do look forward to your future works, I've been following you for years and I will hang on for more, I am sure of that.

2024-03-12 05:12:09 +0000 UTCInteresting, what do they have against reading a story for free? That seems odd to me. As for KU, normally I'm strongly against authors who have Patreons that stub stories once they're popular just to "cash in". However, since you've actually finished a story (unlike a lot of authors) I have less of an objection. I'd still be a bit disappointed at not being able to easily reread parts of the story, but at least you wouldn't be "double-dipping" on your patrons before finishing the story. Thanks again for the story, Arcs.

2024-03-12 01:06:22 +0000 UTCSuch an amazing and spectacular series! Such a good ending. So much WOW! Also please don't pause patreon as I definetly want to keep supporting you here for a while. Also yay on getting the books in physical format at some point. Sooo looking forward to them on my shelf!

2024-03-12 00:01:48 +0000 UTCHey arcs, Big fan of the series. IMO, talk with some fellow authors about kindle unlimited. I personally can't wait to recommend this series to friends who don't read RR releases. The issue I see is that they generally only read KU books and I would much prefer you to make as money as possible of the "published" version of the series and stub the RR version.

2024-03-11 23:57:16 +0000 UTCI'm not sure i have the words to express how wonderful your story has been. But like a cool breeze on a summers day or a cozy blanket on a cold night it has been good. thanks for the goofs and the gaffs, I look forward to seeing what you pursue next.
