I would say it’s caused by the tilde (~) character, but then some lines which do have it aren’t oddly spaced. Look at the two bottom-most speech bubbles on page 9, and how “host~” has a large gap above it, while “stunning~!” doesn’t. Anyway, looking good. Format: Original quote ↴ Modified quote Inline notes shown in [square brackets] ―――――――――― [Page 7] Bernard: "My men and I have to secure the exit, in case the fiend attempted to escape." ↴ Either “My men and I have to secure the exit; in case the fiend attempts to escape.” or “My men and I had to secure the exit; in case the fiend attempted to escape.” Is it an action they’re stilling doing (former) or an action they completed (latter).
