Plans for the new year! (And new Relivings!)

Happy new year Patrons!

Hope you’ve been well - 2021 was hard but I’ll always be thankful for your support through it.

I thought I’d do a little update here keeping you in the loop on what the 2022 plans, goals, and hopes are on my end. I’ve talked about some of this stuff before but I figured I’d dot point it all out - this is the direction I’d like to take what I do this year:

• Make more videos featuring interviews, being closer to mini documentaries like the Mafia Titanic Mod video or the Just Cause 2 Mobile video. Some of these videos are in the works already.
• Make more longer deep dive videos with more ambitious concepts like the AFL video or the big 3D Gameboy video. I’m currently working on one of these too.
• Rely less on sponsors where possible so videos are less weighed down by advertising. Sponsors have been incredibly helpful for easing financial stress, and I can’t completely cut them out yet, but if I can work in more revenue and revenue streams through more successful videos, more Patrons, and potentially live-streaming, the freedom from sponsorships would be nice. Sponsors often give short deadlines too which can require videos to be made quickly, which doesn’t align well with making more ambitious videos.
• Try streaming - I planned on doing this a while ago but let it slip to the wayside, however I plan to pick up some lighting and give it a go soon. I have no idea if I’ll enjoy this or not but there’s no harm giving it a go.
• Generally build better habits. This one’s a bit of a blindly optimistic new-year thing but hey, that bloody pandemic was a bit of a buzzkill for good working habits and I gotta work back out of the funk from it. Maybe writing it down here will help!
