Patreon Newsletter - September 2025

Hey there! Hope you guys are doing well. I think I'll probably make it a monthly thing to give you guys a quick update and overview on how everything is going with the channel. Kinda like the Toby Fox Undertale/Deltarune newsletters. Let me know if you enjoy the format and if there's anything else you would like to see me add to these posts!

Production on AvA is going better right now than it has all year, and I have several very exciting things almost ready to share with both you guys and the public. Mr. Krabs vs Tom Nook now just needs a re-recording from The Stupendium and it'll be ready to mix, and Smiling Friends vs DHMIS just needs the Duck vocals and everything else is recorded. Both of which should be happening within a week or so. So, in October, you should get 2 early audios!

The other thing I wanted to announce in relation to "DON'T SMILE", since it's done and recorded now, is that Smiling Friends vs Don't Hug Me I'm Scared features very special guest I HATE EVERYTHING as Red Guy! He's been one of my personal favourite YouTubers for a very long time, and he was a dream cast for Red Guy that I somehow managed to make happen. Animation is proceeding as expected and looks very good. The rigging process for Mr. Boss was very complicated, but it's done now, and the result is exceptional! Everyone who has been a part of this project so far has done an excellent job, and I'm very excited to show you! We are internally aiming for a Halloween 2025 release, but given that it's animated and there are so many moving pieces, it's hard to say for sure until we get closer to the release date.

Gumball vs Baldi and Pomni vs Jevil are now both written and in the animation phase. I still plan to have them out by the end of the year, but you probably won't get those audios until later. Still, lots of exciting stuff is happening! The animator for Gumball vs Baldi released his fan episode of TAWOG "The Basics" which is serving as loose inspiration for the battle. Check it out here, it's really well done!

Finally, the original series I announced in the summer is proceeding well. My partner and I have written several scripts and have been working every day to develop the world and the characters further. Ava the Otter's design has been finalized and I have hired many talented artists to do some concept art so we could explore her personality and vibe. I've attached some of these to the update post so you can see! The series is tentatively being referred to as "The Backwoods" and should see the light of day some time next year. I'll be able to give more concrete details in later updates.

That's all from me for now. I say it every time but I will always be appreciative of the people who have stuck around and supported the Patreon even during slower months. September has been my first month working on the channel full-time and the amount of progress has been tremendously inspiring. You guys should be in for much more regular updates very soon, starting with the early audio to either Mr. Krabs vs Tom Nook or Smiling Friends vs Don't Hug Me I'm Scared in a couple weeks.
