You can either get chapter 2 of Service Duty, or the first chapter, as well as the title and cover art, for Steel & Thunder Book Three. You'll be getting both either way, this just determines the order. If Service Duty wins, the first two chapters of book 2 will post in December and January, and if it loses they will be posted in November and December, with Service Duty chapter 2 coming in Feb.
