Enjoy the rolled for episode 3 of TMK! What did you expect to happen?
I had bizly’s exact idea for a campaign a few months ago and now I feel schizophrenic

If you guys like the no magic thing you could always play Warhammer Fantasy. Most mages are hunted down and killed.

I know I'm late to the party, but I don't feel as if the situation in this campaign would be entirely different to the ending of armored Core 6 fires of Rubicon, worth major plot point of the story (spoiler warning) is going past the point of no return, Humanity needs to evolve, but would that evolution take over and destroy what it means to be human, I see the conflict between the humans and the coral flow in that game relate to the situation here, one of the biggest hints I picked up on is that it's called total monster kill as in a play on words of total party kill and with the vision of hybrids emerging from the volcano, it would be a total monster kill, all things humans and monsters will die, be broken apart and reformed from this black Crystal which emanates from both monsters and the world itself. As a final note each of the main characters represents aside in this argument,
-Bizzly represents not the melding of monstrosities and humanity, but a potential future where humans give up their humanity incert: "maybe were all monsters" route
-Condi is what humanity currently is, overly ambitious, oblivious, and way over their heads, but extensively emotionally bound to good morals and the love and safety of what humanity holds dear.
-and Milo is the fusion where the line between monsters and humans blur they do not give in to the Monstrous sickness like bizzly, but nor the oblivious violence and the fearful and proud of nature of condi, maybe her parents did find a way to bind the best parts of both the humanity in monsters and the Monsters within humans but were silenced

If you guys like the illegal magic idea I recommend the powder mage trilogy. Solid book series.

i feel like alf could go the opposite way of what they predicted- he already hates everett, i don’t think it would be too hard for some in power to convince him that magic users are bad.

Playing a character with ungodly strength is fun in any campaign. A mashle concept campaign sounds so incredibly fun. I might actually develop a one shot for some friends based on this concept, sounds like a lotta fun!

As soon as Rock opened the convo with lucia asking her about if she had visions or the stars talked to her on the mission right after Trey talked about his vision I knew Rock was SUS

Imma be real, the impression I got was that Jin and Trey were like brothers. Not blood related, but in the sense that they grew up and trained together for so long that they might as well have been.

Crackhead theory time:
1) Guildmaster Rock threw Lucia out the window as a test
2) the window wasn't real and she's in a parallel dimension
3) the fish was drugged and Lucia's trippin

Ok, my brain just did some-out-there dot connection, want to get this thought sausage out before I go back and listen through all eps that are out rn. SO what if monsters are truly just human that were somehow turned? Idk how magic selects a host in this world but going with it just affects humans/elves, and with the fact it seemed as tho the monsters last ep could understand Lucia. I theorize that some, if not all, monsters are human and the hybrids aren't hybrids but the beginning stages. That some monsters want back the life they had before, and some with magic can communicate that as seen with tray and the vision. What if Guild Master Rock knows? That would help explain his distain for Lucia, her parents got to close to finding out and if she know/on a revenge trip then it's in his best interests to keep her quiet and what better way than dead. I don't this Hunt Master Hawk is all innocent in this either. They both seem on the same wavelength (hehe mark) in how they run this guild, so if GMR knows I'm gonna presume that HMH knows, if not all, enough to help GMR with whatever he's doing. She assigns the hunts from my understanding, and if she wants the best chance for capturing the monster alive, the best way is sending multiple teams. Not one hatchling team that JUST arrived. I do believe it was a suicide mission, that HMH sent them on. If she truly didn't know or truly believed that they would be able to live at least, and it was all for the cause. Then GMR is a very good manipulator. But that's just a thought, A THOUGHT SAUSAGE! (I have so much more bouncing around in my noggin but I thought this was getting a little long, oops 😅)

That idea bizly gave at the end is actually wild cuz im in a campaign where magic IS illegal. It’s pretty interesting, im playing an artificer who learned magic to spite her evil cop dad and its a rly fun aspect to add to the game. Like, something normally you would do without thinking like casting a spell, you either have to not do it or try to think of a way to cover it up (like pretending your shocking grasp spell is a machine you made and not magic, or that your gun has unlimited ammo because of a manmade mechanic)
