HoloMat 2! Hardware + Code + 3D prints
Added 2024-11-14 22:42:08 +0000 UTCHere is all the information you need to get started building Holomat 2!
You guys requested I use a specific projector and setup so I defined it and outlined it in the Build doc below!
Holomat2 is a work in progress. As we go everything will be posted here! The code and 3D files are almost done and will be updated here tonight!
Holomat 2 code will be uploaded shortly, if you are new and looking to get started coding, check out my Holomat 1 tutorial along with the code:

Update!
https://github.com/Concept-Bytes/HoloMat2
Please let me know if you are having issues running this.
Note:
-Camera is removed for Holomat2 So App2 (Scanning) Will not work
-You will need exactly the projector from the build guide and the touch mat. Or you will need to modify the code to match the alignment.
In development still:
-Automatic alignment and calibration (I am almost done with this)
-Spotify app is a keyboard test. Both are in development
Thanks everyone and enjoy!
-Concept!

2025-01-04 04:10:46 +0000 UTCLike I mentioned in my comment, IR touch frames could be a good solution in terms of price. I'm European too, and in my country, the mat costs around €120. However, an IR touch frame, which essentially does the same thing, is priced at around €40-60. I'm not sure if the code would work with such a touch system, but it could be a nice, budget-friendly alternative.

2024-12-29 22:05:28 +0000 UTCIf you're looking for a more affordable option in terms of size and price, you should consider IR (infrared) touch displays. They're slightly less accurate but significantly cheaper, typically ranging between $40 and $100 for touch sizes from 32" to 65". The only major difference is that you have a "large" square frame around the mat instead of a thin foil. However, if you integrate the mat into the desk, it should look more "aesthetic". In comparison, for the price of the mat in my country (120€ for a 32" touch foil), I could get a 75" IR touch frame. I'm planning to look into buying an IR frame in the next few months to test if it works. I'm not 100% sure yet, and I haven't checked the code, but if it's just used like any other touch surface, it should work fine.

2024-12-29 21:58:45 +0000 UTCYou don’t. But I got tons of complaints about not having it set for a specific projector. If you can modify a few lines of code you can use anything you want.

2024-12-17 13:31:08 +0000 UTCDo you really need to use a new projector? because the build price is going up. Projector isnt $69.99 here in The Netherlands, but $103.53. Touchpad isnt $65 here in The Netherlands, but $85.05. Someone from the Netherlands/ Europe with a alternative? (I have a 4k beamer hanging on the ceiling of my garage for holomat1)

2024-12-15 04:41:33 +0000 UTCAny update on the code, that's why I got the subscription, might cancel then come back in a couple months, as it takes a while to create good code.

2024-12-13 01:14:10 +0000 UTCYo! The HoloMat 2 is still a work-in progress. The code will hopefully be released within the near futurem, but stay tuned to the Patreon. It should come out sooner or later, and maybe you can expect a Jarvis integration video too ;) Stay tuned! 😄😂

2024-11-19 03:35:08 +0000 UTCLooking for a little help with the HoloMat; followed along and need some clarity. From Version 1 to what is live now on Github there seems to be some significant changes. I got the "Home Screen" coded and apps 1,3,4, and 6 (the other app were missing .mpy file on github) When I run it the Home Screen pops up off center to the right, no app icons or other apps. When I touch Home it stops. Any suggestions to move this along?
