DirectX 11 and the Mod List [Important Info - READ!]

Hi there everyone! In case you’re not aware, the option to preview DirectX 11 was made available for Patch 1.107.

The issues with affected mods are just cosmetic from what I’ve seen so far (missing icons, textures, etc.). So, it won’t hurt anything, it’ll just be annoying as hell!

Some creators may be willing to update their images so their mods are compatible with DirectX 11. They can do this by changing the size of their images included in their mods (128×128 seems to be working fine). However, some creators may wait until DirectX 11 is fully rolled out to assess what they need to do.

So, at this point you should only opt-in if all of your must have mods are compatible with it or you don’t care about the visual issues.

What This Means For The Mod List

At this time the mod list statuses are based on compatibility with DirectX 9 since DirectX 11 is optional and in preview stage.

Therefore, I will NOT list a mod as Broken if it’s working fine with DirectX 9. However, if I see or receive info that a mod is not compatible with DirectX 11, I will make a note of it in the Notes column. Additionally, if a mod is confirmed compatible with DX9, but NOT compatible with DX11, it’ll be listed as Compatible* (with an asterisk).

That’s the best I can do, at least for now. In the next few days, I may add an extra list in Mod List Updates with all mods/cc that are reported not working with DX11.
