DITW 13-8: Borehole
Added 2024-02-17 15:29:46 +0000 UTCKimmy looked beautiful and perfect laying on the bed strewn with her things he’d thrown there. All of her bull shit luxury goods, all her bourgeois trappings. Her hair was down, but she still wore makeup. She was long and lean and he could see a sliver of her taut midriff where her shirt came untucked from her high-waisted pants.
He said, “I want you out of here. I want all of your shit out of here.”
She tossed her hair. “Who’s going to make me?”
“I know what you’re doing, and you can stick it up your ass.”
She laughed. It was a maddening sight, his wife throwing her head back, showing off the white of her teeth against her red lipsticks. Her neck was long and graceful. He wanted to wrap his hands around it, pick her up, and bounce her off every wall in the room. She stopped laughing and steadied her eyes on him. “You can’t kick me out of my own home. It’s against the law. Why don’t you leave? . . . Coward.”
“Why are you doing this?”
“Because you’re still stuck in a web—”
“It’s your fucking web, Kimmy. You weaved it.”
She scowled. “Open your eyes, Josh. You got what you wanted. You can’t act virtuous now. It’s way too late.”
“And how about your eyes? What do your eyes see? Or don’t see.”
“Me? I’m wicked, Josh. I’m terrible. I did awful things to you. I wanted you to want them. I love you. I see clearly.”
“If you see so clearly, tell me what you see. Am I a coward? Am I a moron, a fucking chump who sat in a hot tub waiting for you . . . and you were fucking him while I waited.” His fists shook.
“And I told you I was going to do it,” Kimmy said, defiant.
“Tell me what you see.”
She said, “You’re no fool, Josh. Don’t act like one.”
“I’m acting like a fool? Is that it? Is that what you see?”
“Look in a mirror, Josh. Tell yourself you didn’t know. See if your reflection can keep a straight face or not.”
He chuckled with unbridled menace, shaking his head, licking his lower lip, snorting breath like a taunted bull in the ring. But she was doing this on purpose. Riling him. Angering him. But why? “Why are you doing this? Why are you such a bitch right now after all you’ve done?”
She said, “Do you think you were the only one who was ever bullied? How does it feel to be the only person in the history of the world to have another human push you under, hold your head in the toilet, and flush? Everyone must flock to you, come to your aid. Is that how it is?”
“I expect my wife to respect my truth.”
“Oh god, Josh. Your truth? I knew you in college and you weren’t in social studies. You were about business. We were about making money, making a family.”
“When did that change? When did that fucking change, Kimmy? Maybe around the time you fucked Devlin Stone?”
“I did you a favor.”
His fists disassembled, and he threw up his hands, completely, unambiguously, bewildered. He wished they had this on camera so he could show his friends, let them all hear the unbelievable words his wife conjured. “And I’m not supposed to call you crazy?” He gestured bladed hands her way as he spoke, like trying to get through to a dog or some simpler minded creature, saying, “You don’t make any sense.”
“I saw you throw a chair today, throw it at Devlin. Hit him right in the face.”
His stomach soured at the memory. At the fear of retribution, at the worry some form of law enforcement would knock on his door at any moment and arrest him for assault.
Kimmy said, “You only did it ten years too late.”
Rumble could come after him. Maybe Devlin would think it was funny to have Rumble meet him in the parking lot outside Swanson, punch him in the gut in front of all of his coworkers. Leave him curled on the pavement, heaving in agonal breath.
“He fucking knows he deserved it, too, Josh. He wasn’t even mad when you left.”
“He wasn’t?”
“He knows it.”
The rage returned as Devlin’s words echoed in his mind’s cathedral, unrepeatable words about his ability as a man, a deep core sample into the most ancient and fragile depths of a man’s psyche. “You were with him. You gave him your body. You’re disgusting.”
“He’s disgusting. I’m still me.”
“Who the fuck are you?”
“I protected you, Josh. I worked for you.”
“This is incredible,” he said, bewildered once more. “Who’s going to protect me from you?”
“You don’t need protection from me, Josh. This is what I’m telling you. This is what I’m saying you don’t see. I want you happy. I want you fulfilled. I want you unburdened. I want you to have the kind of sex no one else in this world could ever give to you. Dark sex. The sex you know you want. The sex—”
“I almost threw up in the toilet watching this dark sex you’re gifting me.”
This was his grandest point, and he expected her to crumble at last, to admit defeat and offer no more defense. But she didn’t. She tossed her hair to the other side now, and he could see she knew how good she looked in this light. The way she let her shoulders come up to her ears, the way her eyes teased him with sultry promise; all-knowing sexual delights were hers, and she wanted him to have them.
“Why did you sneak around behind my back? Why did you skulk your way to Devlin’s apartment and conspire with him?”
“I didn’t conspire, Kimmy,” he said, haughty, on the verge of maniacal laughter. “I went there because you would never tell me the truth. I couldn’t trust you to tell me the truth.”
“You went behind my back, Josh. You went behind my back and ruined everything.”
He covered his face with his hands, breathed deep, gripped his brow, smoothed back his hair. “All you ever did was lie.”
“All I ever did was tell you what you wanted to hear.”
“Like how you had an affair?”
“We talked about that, Josh. It made you hard when we talked about it.”
“They were all lies, Kimmy, they—”
“You knew they were true. You’re the liar.”
His hands squeezed into fists again, and he hunched over her, daring her to spew more toxic nonsense. “They were fantasy, Kimmy. You know it.”
“You wanted it to be real.”
He climbed on top of her and she didn’t resist him, didn’t fight him or complain. He straddled her hips, and she was submissive below him. Submissive but not timid, not shy. He said, “You are such a fucking snake.”
She said, “When are you going to admit your part in this?”
He put his hands down by her hands and she fell back to the bed, silky hair tossing on the bedding and over her discarded clothing, and he realized—though he knew it already by instinct—she had him where she wanted him.
“I’ll admit it when you admit it,” he said, face over hers, her narrow eyes gone to black lines, sunlight glinting under her lashes to prove she was watching him.
“I admitted it, Josh. I admit it all. I fucked him. I did it behind your back. I did it before I knew you wanted it. I kept doing it after I knew it turned you on.”
“You humiliated me. You treated me like dirt.”
She cupped his neck on both sides, her long fingers scratching over the nape of his neck, exposed now by the haircut she’d encouraged him to get. “I put you on a pedestal, Josh.”
“You fucked him at the reunion,” he said. “Tell me you didn’t.”
“That’s what you want to hear. You want me to tell you that?”
“You make me so fucking crazy. Just tell me the fucking truth.”
She jutted her chin towards his in the gesture of an alluring kiss. He gripped her wrists and pulled her hands free from his neck. He pinned them on the bed, holding her arms up above her head. Her eyes were black gems, obsidian jewels of invasive scrutiny; looking in her eyes was like surrendering, letting her shine her flashlight in all your rooms, closets, attics, crawlspaces.
She said, “The sin was my penitence. Unless you’re a liar.”
He kissed her to shut her fucking mouth. Sealed his mouth against hers before more of her endless brood of spiderling lies and obfuscations skittered forth. Kimmy writhed under him in a seductive dance, and he knew he’d sunk himself by kissing her. But if he didn’t kiss her, her words would cloud his thoughts and resolve and render him useless.
Kimmy held his face while he kissed her, and she rose her hips to meet his, their pelvises coming together in urgent need, telling him what she wanted in case he hadn’t figured it out. Was she insatiable? No, she wasn’t. He’d watched Devlin fuck her, finger her, eat her ass. He’d watched her squirm. He’d watched her squirt. Devlin made her come hard. She was sated. Sated, but she wanted more and more. She wanted complete control. He would never give it to her.
Kimmy guided his face back, those invading eyes seeking his. He squinted, turned away from her in anger and disgust. His heart hammered in his chest.
“You hate seeing yourself through my eyes,” Kimmy said. “Hate seeing your reflection in my eyes. When you do, you see yourself, and it scares you.”
He still wouldn’t look at her, despite the urging of her warm hands. “I never wanted this,” he said. “I never did. I never asked for it. Amy put it in my head.”
“You lie, Josh. I’ve seen what it does to you. You’re still lying to yourself.”
“They did this to me. You did this to me.”
“I did it because you wanted it.”
“I don’t want it.”
“Stop lying, Josh. It’s time you stop lying.”
He faced her, jaw clenched, gritting his teeth, hating her and loving her all at once. Wishing things were the way they were before the summer. Before that; before the miscarriage. But in Kimmy’s eyes, he did see his own reflection. Josh Waters pinning her down, hovering over her. Hard as a rock. Josh Waters threw a chair at Devlin fucking Stone today. The thing he should have done so long ago. He did it for this woman. Because of this woman.
“You’re no different than I am, Josh. You’re not better than me. We’re still in this together.”
“I’m not falling for it, Kimmy.”
“You’re all I want in this world, Josh. I’ll give you everything.”
“You’re a liar.”
“You are too. I lie for you. You lie for yourself.”
“Stop it. Stop talking.”
“Fuck me, Josh. I know you’re hard. I can feel it. I’m right here. You’re right here with me. We’re in this together.”
He shut his eyes and bowed his head, put his forehead against hers. Kimmy brought her knees up on either side of his waist. His cock throbbed for her, thinking all he’d seen, how vile it was. The disgusting eruption of her demon lover. His wife wanting to see his cock against Devlin’s. Because you want it, Josh, not me. Devlin got off today. Devlin fucked today and Josh didn’t. Fucking Kimmy would be a victory. He roared and righted himself over top of her, legs over her middle, his wife laid out on the bed. He grabbed her shirt and wrenched the two halves apart. The buttons burst and scattered. She was naked underneath. She was aroused. Her nipples hard. But her eyes had softened. She really wanted him. She really wanted him to fuck her.
He inched backward, looking to escape. Kimmy sat up, grabbed handfuls of the suit she’d bought him so her boss, her lover, could go out with her husband and humiliate him in front of Rumble. She said, “You know you want this. You know you’re lying.”
“I never wanted this.”
She flopped back onto the bed. He didn’t flee. Her chest was bared, her shirt bunched at her arms. Her hands came to her waistband, and he watched those long, beautiful fingers work open the clasp.
“Open yourself, Josh,” she whispered. “Open yourself up to the truth.”
“From you?”
She ignored him, her long hand finding his upright erection under the pants fabric and palm-stroking his bursting hardness. “I’ll tell you everything. No lies. We don’t lie anymore.”
He dropped down again, his hands going out above her shoulders, their faces close together. “I’ll never trust you again.”
Kimmy didn’t even flinch. “Trust yourself first. Tell yourself you don’t want this.”
“I don’t,” he said, adamant.
She tilted up her chin again, her pillowy lips ready for his kiss. Her palm found his cock again. “Fuck me with this little dick, Josh. Fuck me as deep as you can go while I tell you what Devlin felt like so fucking deep inside me.”
Comments
Four elements I really love in how KT has constructed this chapter: 1. Kimmy's return to form as the Alpha in their relationship. 2. Kimmy's tireless verbal barrage. I really loved this writing. It illustrates Kimmy's strength. Not physical strength. But strength of heart, mind, and will. The kind of strength anyone would need to get through an elite law school and excel in a historically male profession. 3. Josh thinking of her as another form of tireless: "Insatiable." Is she insatiable? Just for sex? Or maybe also for power over others? 4. The juxtaposition of Josh over Kimmy, and the nature of who's in control. Despite their physical positioning in the moment, they both know who's in control.

2024-02-22 02:41:18 +0000 UTCI’m rereading book 3 right now and Josh went to the High School dance with Karina. And it’s stated he had a crush on her. Karina is the one that got away from Josh! It’s stated they broke up because Devlins henchman beat him up in front of her and took his jacket to give to Devlin. And they broke up because he felt embarrassed to be with her knowing she saw the beating. Josh should seriously kick Kimmys ass out of the apartment and call Karina and go get a drink together and see where it leads!

2024-02-22 01:34:19 +0000 UTCThe reason I like KT's work is because it isn't JUST fun. If we can't take fiction seriously what can we take seriously! Now Summer Swap and King Lear they are funny!

2024-02-22 01:27:42 +0000 UTCI get my own fun too in case you haven't noticed, At this time, it gets on my wick that people throughout the English speaking world are aggrandising their own frequently tendentious or nonsensical opinions as truths and nobody calls them on it... people who think the world is flat and gravity is a conspiracy! Don't the media and politicians talk enough shite! If I had any respect for the cosmetic charade known as education I would be flattered to be called professor... but very soon after me being chill... they'll be cremating me! Here you die and the funeral is at least 24 hrs later and at most 48 hrs. No hanging around...

Chris K
2024-02-22 00:40:30 +0000 UTCYou may be right but I understood she was going to, at the very least, live with someone which was, originally, why she was going to see less of Kimmy. For me it is the equivalent of marriage without the necessity to feel you are together by social obligation. I was married once for less than a month to guarantee the rights of our child... but I did at least understand Karina had made some commitment... and it isn't just a unilateral decision on Kimmy's part not to have seen Karina, Karina has a life! She's not just a bad friend. Though you are right Karina, though she was young knew Devlin was victimising Josh, liked Josh and had had her ow misadventure with Devlin. It seemed to me Devlin had a reluctant 'respect' for Karina!

2024-02-22 00:09:45 +0000 UTCI always said that in the KT verse that Charlie was the Angel and Kimmy was the Devil. It also helps that Devlin and Reza are made from the same cloth. Both scummy business men, with horse dicks, who are most likely running illegal business activities and inherited their wealth from daddy.

2024-02-21 21:45:34 +0000 UTCNice use of the rhetorical question, then the sly inference, that she was always bad but wouldn't admit it, effective as it is undemonstrable one way or the other. Your final misstep was to imply that each individual can have a truth but that is to mistake opinion for truth. Kimmy quite rightly equated 'Josh's' truth with sociology but different ideas of truth really belong to history (Collingwood called them 'absolute presuppositions' like the earth is the centre of the universe, that no one questions) those truths change with time some by evidence some not. The other important field is anthropology which offered 'the truth' of other cultures the courtesy history rarely does. History has been falsely linked to progress since since its Judeo Christian Inception. But in anthropology just because there is a single, or many misapprehensions in a culture does not mean we can dismiss all the insights of other cultures. But obviously some cultural truths are maintained to have greater use than others, like empirical science or the types of reasoning we use. Quantum physics require empiricism combined with types of reason. Yet your best bet is to believe the evidence of experience, don't step off a cliff without the support of some sort of secure device. Don't accept other people's opinions without reliable evidence. So if other people and Kimmy didn't believe she was a cheat and a whore then it is highly likely she wasn't... unless you believe in Freudianism or shamanism or just plain mumbo jumbo. My truth... that is the truth... is that individual truths don't even stand up in a court of law! Sorry, Chris for giving you an earful. It's just that calling an opinion a kind of truth is cheating, and we wouldn't want to be judged alongside that filthy adulteress Kimmy Walters, would we?... I don't suppose you or anybody else will be liking anything I say in the near future!
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 21:37:05 +0000 UTCReally, I thought Karina was just dating. Also Karina and Josh seem more on the same wavelength about life in general than the new and improved Kimmy Waters🤣
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-21 21:19:35 +0000 UTCI wonder if she was a cheater well before Devlin. She made a move on him at the party quick, and when busted she just moved it to the bathroom for some privacy. Maybe she was always bad Kimmy, just needed to accept her truth.
Chris K
2024-02-21 19:16:37 +0000 UTCKarina is married and would never be a cheap whore like her old friend... I don't think Josh would cheat with a married woman, especially after what Kimmy has put him through. Also with each page she writes KT has been making Josh more of a prig... still I suppose it's part of their quantum entanglement... the more irredeemably slutty she becomes the more he starches his Y-fronts!
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 19:03:37 +0000 UTCCharlie is more sinned against than sinning . Most of her pecadillos it seems have been forced on her or drawn out of her. In that particular work the men are the whores and some of them have already received some comeuppance. Since Jonny betrayed Charlie in the first book she has owned him. And when or if Reva releases him from his chastity cage Charlie will solemnize their eternal bonding with a beautifully wrought modern version of Queen Victoria's cage to keep her fella's phallus in, during spring each year. In conversation with her wgfs, she'll snigger and call it his "Princess Alberta" and he'll struggle and moan as he blushes with pride. I'd be interested to see how Reva comes out of it. I suspect KT has a soft spot for his old fashioned plutocratic amoral ways. However, that might only mean he'll get to keep one testicle after siring the official heir to his criminal empire on Charlie. I used to find him a repulsive specimen, but I suppose distance does lend enchantment.
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 18:41:48 +0000 UTCWell, there's no free lunch in KT world. All the gals who really sinned ended up paying some price. The cuckolded husbands were devastated to varying degrees ranging from not much at all (Happy Endings) to suicidal despair (Peter Mapplethorpe, Josh Waters), depending in part on how open they were with the wife about the bull situation and whether they were honest with themselves about the marriage. But this is KT and suffering is not meted out in some linear proportionate manner. Charlie is not likely to suffer as much as Mia or Jess Mapplethorpe did, but Kimmy probably will, especially if the continues to incubate Devlin's evil spawn.

2024-02-21 17:33:40 +0000 UTCI would love all KT's recognized works to be put in real book form... Beggars still seem to be on foot... one at a time will have to do.

2024-02-21 17:04:01 +0000 UTCI wonder if KT would ever release her other works in paperback? Such as Watching Natalie Cheat (out of print), Chelsea hates Libby, Rachels Truth and other short stories. I just say that because I pretty much have all her books in paperback and have them in my library.

2024-02-21 16:23:32 +0000 UTCI meant getting pregnant in general. If she has a new aminosity towards Josh it might be she blames him for the loss of the baby. I don't think she gives a damn who got her pregnant, it'll be their baby.
Chris K
2024-02-21 15:35:03 +0000 UTCMy point exactly! I'm not as sure as you but there's a good probability that some of what you say will happen... but why would Kimmy do what she has been doing? If she is mad I want to know why and how she started acting as she is. How she became bad to the person she loved... Why she is isolating herself from all the people she can trust and who used to trust her and considered her a good person? People actually considered Josh lucky to have her... some probably still do... Have you ever read a novel by KT where these anomalies were not sorted? She is alone, not even turning to her family... I find it difficult to believe she wants middle class success for herself alone, and this much... it's a contradiction in terms! Just as evil for evil' sake is a myth. I am not willing to condemn Kimmy for doing what I enjoy reading about her doing, and nothing more! She has hurt Josh's feelings! So what!
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 14:55:19 +0000 UTCWell if she wanted Josh to fuck her that’s a poor way to accomplish that! Especially mentioning Devlins big cock. Kimmy is betting on the humiliation to kick Josh into overdrive. The problem is that was all in the comfort of their home between them. Not Kimmy actually doing the deed behind his back with his hated enemy. I predict in the next chapter it will further enforce and resolve Josh to make Kimmy leave or he himself will. We will see. I think Kimmy is her own worst enemy. She made horrible choices and she’s going to pay the consequences eventually.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-21 14:47:07 +0000 UTCA piece of advice, turning everything you can, into a rhetorical question can defend you against accusations of making unfounded assumptions, or insults and the like, and may even prevent you from getting the sack. Peppering what you say with facts that are difficult or embarrassing to refute helps a lot too. Rhetoric can be used to ask unwelcome questions of politicians. That's why they prefer to make statements especially ones written by people, who did pay attention in class or are able to use their intelligence. A word of caution ,such people can be as unscrupulous as the next person, if they are paid enough! They contribute to the low esteem people in power so richly deserve! If you think I am straying from the point just remember that sight of Devlin Stone shooting his ropes of seed into the air... and what good the loss of all that seed did in the service of humanity!
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 14:34:23 +0000 UTCShe tells him to put his trust in himself then hits him below the belt with his perceived deficiencies, where he is 'challenged!' Is this motiveless malignance on her part? Or is there method in her madness?

2024-02-21 13:42:26 +0000 UTC“They did this to me. You did this to me.” Kimmy's reflections are turning back on him as a paranoid, a whingey, whiney weakling undoing everything she claims to have inspired... whatever will she resort to next to undermine Josh's new found confidence? Or does she purpose something else?
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 13:28:34 +0000 UTCGreat suggestion... But it could be a difficult proposition to sell if the child isn't his! A promising theory, Chris!

2024-02-21 12:48:08 +0000 UTC"The rage returned as Devlin’s words echoed in his mind’s cathedral." Yet echoes with his rage!
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-21 12:40:35 +0000 UTC“I did you a favor.” Lets ignore sleeping with Devlin what exact favour could she mean? Is she being blackmailed about Josh? Or is it something else she wouldn't be able to speak about?

2024-02-21 12:25:38 +0000 UTCAndrew, that's what I was thinking also. She even wanted to call Josh and rat kimmy out, but stayed out of it. Kimmy then lied to her about Josh knowing about Devlin. I hope that also comes back to bite Kimmy!
Chris K
2024-02-21 00:59:25 +0000 UTCWhat if Josh married Karina in the end. I'm rereading the series and Karina caught Kimmy rolling around having semi-sex in the grass with with Devlin (I think that's where she got pregnant) Basically Karina refused to speak to Kimmy during their yoga classes together because she was upset. She hates Devlin and maybe she has a crush on Josh?

2024-02-20 17:38:33 +0000 UTCI agree. I've been aching to vent some spleen for some time, then as I continued writing I saw the way to do it without offending... satire. Then I realized again, it's all there in the text, I didn't invent anything. KT didn't write my little skit, but to create Kimmy she created the conditions, that enabled me to fully appreciate what Kimmy sees as her strength and to revel in the full impact of the latest chapter... and it all started with Josh sitting bestriding her telling her she is a snake... and the fleeting thought Josh is gonna ride his T girl wife passed inchoately through my head... but I thought I'm not gonna cheapen this with an unwise crack. But then as I was reading "Borehole" for the umpteenth time I saw that Kimmy really does want Josh to submit to her and open up and to fuck him like Devlin fucked her... and that is also why she is humiliating Josh...It's mimesis. It's RD Laing! Probably rot, but I like a story inspired by a brilliant story! One, topsy-turvy, unacceptable to many, as you so astutely put it... But fuck, this still does not address my concerns, but does further increase my appreciation of the author of this incredible work! I wonder if anyone else will "like" my wild interpretation... Thank you, C for your reliable insightful observations as usual, and I never doubted the awesome revival of Bad Kimmy for a moment, he lied glibly. KT, like the moon, can be a harsh mistress! Even now she might dole out deserved chastisement for messing with her things...
Bill F Protagoras
2024-02-20 16:40:53 +0000 UTCThe gender role reversal in the story is fascinating. Its also subversive of the genre with the wife cheating and aggressive. Also note the Rome trip and the aftermath where Kimmy is manipulative and aggressive and Josh runs from her and tries to avoid dealing with his problems. Another interesting aspect here is that, if we reversed the genders of the main characters it would give the story a completely different feel. One unacceptable to many.

2024-02-20 00:16:37 +0000 UTC“Open yourself, Josh,” she whispered. “Open yourself up to the truth.” Could be Kimmy has been cuckolding Devlin with Josh all along using Devlin's very own moves to steal him off her boss..? Wouldn't that be a lark? Beating the boys at their own game... Is that what makes her crazy... her pretentions? Is she usurping the stereotypical male role, which means she no longer has any need to explain her behaviour, people used to say (when criticizing Kimmy or Josh) Devlin just behaves like that, Devlin is just Devlin (oink?). So now Kimmy is just Kimmy, and wants Josh to assume the antiquated role of the submissive female, infantilizing him, objectivizing him on a post-modern courtly love pedestal, and using him for HER sexual gratification. She condescendingly treats him as a second class citizen, perhaps in part due to the disparity between what money each of them brings home, not to mention the difference between the prestige of their jobs. She wants him there faithfully waiting for her when she gets home late after attending to her many pressing duties at the firm. However, Josh IS more admirable now and more macho because he threw a fucking chair at a wanker! Look no hands! What a wag! I am not entirely joshing... Hysterical, innit? Now I really wonder what kind of man Kimmy wants Josh to be, and if Kimmy's craziness is of the same variety as Hamlet's. Something's rotten in the Province of Ontario... Or Toronto's in a rotten state... I'll work on it!

Submissive but not timid, not shy. He said, “You are such a fucking snake.” Kimmy really breaks the mould in this episode... though it is Josh who introduces a Freudian phallus between his legs as he sits bestriding her hips and wicked lusting crotch. Let me remind you Kimmy is the snakey-phallusy thing... bigger even than Devlin's phallusy thing!

2024-02-19 20:34:51 +0000 UTCI was looking for this song or poem just as KT's latest chapter came down the pipe I'm sure it was synchronicity, not our beloved author using the dark sight. I am assured she is a devout... reader! I'm sure this literary reference will bring good cheer to the throngs of Kimmy haters. "Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company." Mark Twain. MT was obviously a bounder and a rotter... "Strange a God who mouths Golden Rules and forgiveness, then invented hell; who mouths morals to other people and has none Himself; who frowns upon crimes yet commits them all; who created man without invitation, then tries to shuffle the responsibility for man's acts upon man, instead of honorably placing it where it belongs, upon Himself; and finally with altogether divine obtuseness, invites this poor, abused slave to worship Him!" John Milton is turning over in his grave... Maybe there is quantum entanglement between Twain and Milton.

2024-02-19 17:38:58 +0000 UTC"and each successive time she has to go further to chase down the high." A very salient point. Marriage is about the control of our lives by the state and religion. However, a sexual relationship is only worth maintaining if it involves caring and affection... so you're right in that sense. Also in more socialised societies it means the state owes the children rights and protection... which they usually provide, unless they need resources for more urgent matters like maiming and killing people... usually but not always in other countries! Usually, but not always, adults.

2024-02-19 11:33:56 +0000 UTCIf you are right, and I can see no reason why you shouldn't be, it goes a long way in confirming my suspicions as to what Kimmy and KT are up to! I'm only talking about one part of the puzzle that really intrigues and bothers me. The way things are going concerns me in a way that nobody else seems to give a toss about... or they're too busy giving a toss about other more tossable matters. KT is too good a writer for me to do anything but trust her, and I think this could be the best thing she has written to date. Which is a feat in itself... She makes walking the line between the real life sexuality that inhabits our minds and permeates the mundane physical world about us, whilst on the other side framing it all in the deadly boring world of pragmatism our vulnerable bodies and emotions negotiate their way through for mere survival and she makes this passage between them seem effortless... but right now everything is askew... Everything is pushing her towards the vainest of things... the pursuit of happiness! By this I mean there is general clamour for an ending that will please the reader, that will favour outcomes that now seem deserved by the present appearances of the book. What is seemly and what is unseemly. Morality is the fashion mag of history. ‘This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.’ Said by a pompous windbag to a son who dies in the dual death of a duel... in a play that is a weird tribute to the author's dead son... Maybe not so weird, after all the play may well be the best known in the world... His son's name was Hamnet... but the writer in question had difficulty spelling even his own name. I try to follow the sage dictum nonetheless, even if it now means not being false to women either. Even if they're acting like a two faced bitch, ey Kimmy! Looks like we might be headed for light to heavy entanglement!

2024-02-19 10:31:43 +0000 UTCAfter our Miltonic excursions, KT seems to have returned to our progression drilling through the circles of hell. Having glided through number 7, violence, Kimmy moves on to her true callings in the 8th circle: flattery, sorcery, hypocrisy, counselor of fraud, sower of discord. Next up is Kimmy’s treacherous finale: traitor to kindred, lords and benefactors, guests. That about covers the whole crew of characters she meets and betrays in this story.

2024-02-19 00:01:30 +0000 UTCAgreed Mike, Pete was her fallback guy after he ran Tyler out of his house and she got pregnant. There was no "sorry, I messed up" she put on his Christmas necklace and had fake puppy dog tears. And Pete bought it hook line and sinker. It was established that Pete loved humiliation so maybe he was all into that and he also he still loved Jess. I kinda don't think Jess really loved Pete at all. I don't want to knock the story to hard because this was my gateway drug into KT's works. I actually think this is KT's darkest book over Devil in the Waters. Because this dealt with a family and it hit close to home. Pete was also a pushover most of the novel with Jess and Tyler walking all over him while Josh in Devil in the Waters wont take shit from Devlin and now Kimmy as highlighted by the last three chapters.

2024-02-18 19:42:51 +0000 UTCI agree with almost your entire assessment, except Pete loved her despite the horrible tribulations she made him endure. He also loved his boys, and they deserved a mother's love. It might be he saw his tiny penis as a mitigating circumstance... Everybody makes mistakes... Time heals all wounds... He got a small dick by bad luck, but he became a good person by doing good things... Why criticise him for what is considered a virtue and in Latin meant, among other things, manliness... behaving as a man should. And lest I forget who better to raise the child of an abominable wretch like Tyler! Though I'm not sure virtue is the focal point of Kimmy's wish for Josh to be a man!

2024-02-18 19:09:08 +0000 UTCI like her because although she is loyal to Jonny, she made him pay for treating her so carelessly that she became leased and leashed to their landlord. Their predicament is his fault. And though she resents and rejects Reva in many ways, she has flourished under his criminal protection and, as gratefully as any cat she preens herself and purrs as she takes advantage of his big fat Armenian cock... She pets and cuddles him as much as the cynical hairy bastard does her. Yet like a good little kitty she is drawn back home, with an ill used smelly Jonny on the couch! They are coevals! Though every now and then she tests her claws on him! At least, that's my recollection! She is so fucking cute, and full of hidden strengths.

2024-02-18 18:47:42 +0000 UTCI never knew what Pete saw in Jess. Pete was totally in love with her and she treated him like shit. She had him wrapped around her finger the whole novel until she eight sixed him out of his own house for steroid boy. Pete should have thrown her and her boy toy out of his house and got full custody of his boys. Only until the very end did he finally man up and get steroid boy out of his house but by then his harpy wife was knocked up. By the way, I would assume Jess was on birth control during the novel. So I assume she went off it during her vacation sexcapde with Tyler. So basically she was in love with Tyler and wanted his kid. And even at the end she never apologized to Pete for her actions. I wouldn't have taken her back and told her to move her shit out (pregnant or not)! You know that house was in Pete's name. She could raise her brat by herself. O.K rant over.

2024-02-18 18:40:31 +0000 UTCHe doesn't have a little dick, but it is in comparison to Devlin's... What was despicable was that Kimmy used it's relative size as mocking 'pillow talk' along with his cluelessly eating her pussy after Devlin shot his load there. She laughed and bonded with the bully Josh loathed. This before there was any 'kink'! For me it made her betrayal so much worse. She humiliated Josh in the secrecy of her own head. Presumably settling some personal score, much worse than the physical needy kind... because now I realize that wasn't it sort of like a cowardly thing to do... something festering under all that warm love she used to hold for Josh. Something shameful! That she later turns to her advantage! And I still love her as character... but that's a sneaky disagreeable trait to have!

2024-02-18 11:23:54 +0000 UTCI went back to book 12 because I wanted to reread Josh talking to Meyer about competing for and with Kimmy and her transformation into this powerful, confident corporate powerhouse. In this chapter Hyun asks about her drinking wine and Kimmy makes up a lie abut her mother drinking during her pregnancies. Kimmy does not want to admit something to Hyun or herself. What is she scared to admit? Now that Josh has stopped sulking and running away it is time to succeed, harden his heart, numb his feelings and achieve a commensurate level of power. The only way forward is to leave and file for divorce not in an emotional, childlike tantrum but a dispassionate recitation of the multiple infidelities and instances of gratuitous cruelty. Josh can be immature, paranoid and selfish but he is also smart, funny and a good and faithful friend. I also wish and hope for an episode of sexual confidence and aggressiveness like KT granted Geoff with his New York editor. Anal sex would be the cherry on top.

2024-02-18 01:45:11 +0000 UTCSo the sin is the penitence... Where's the absolution? And the going forth and sinning no more? Just now Kimmy was a goddess, reminiscent of Kali! But she is not a goddess... she is human and when she comes down off her high, is she going to have a hook to hang a hat on someplace where she will not be judged and found wanting? She certainly doesn't lack for courage as she pulls out the stops on her best line of seductive badinage... A tour de force! That still leaves Kimmy being slagged off! So that's that some people never change! Maybe Josh should try a bit of analysis because he seems to have marked some changes in his wife's personality...

2024-02-17 23:27:58 +0000 UTCThanks KT. Even if this doesn’t work for Kimmy it was generous of you to have her reveal her evil thoughts to Josh. Those wings are indeed sprouting anew. If Josh pulls back from this it’s effectively over. If he goes along there’s a chance she can make it work for a while. Kimmy is indeed brutally honest with Josh here - perhaps more honest with Josh than she is with herself. One consequence of this strategy though will be to require her to really be a bitch with him from now on. I guess if the loving apologetic turn didn’t work after Rome, now she can be his dream bitch goddess. But a marriage made only on sex, particularly the kind of hard core cuckolding she has in mind, is unlikely to last. Absolutely brilliant scene that reveals so much about the characters and still advances the story. Fantastic.

2024-02-17 23:24:26 +0000 UTCI dont see how Josh could be turned on by Kimmy after the last line:“Fuck me with this little dick, Josh. Fuck me as deep as you can go while I tell you what Devlin felt like so fucking deep inside me.” If anything it might revolt him even more especially after everything Josh saw in the hotel. If anything that last line is like something Devlin would say. Kimmy is now interchangeable from Devlin. Kat like you said there is no trust in this marriage. I also don't see warmth, loyalty or actual love. Kimmy says she loves Josh but what does that mean to her. It's just more of her goobley-gook gibberish. I hope the next chapter more secrets are revealed and more confrontational dialogue between Kimmy and Josh. I just love how KT writes the argumentative dialogue as much as I love how she writes sex scenes. Great stuff.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 22:48:45 +0000 UTCThe reactions of Kimmy in the Mercedes make it clear they didn’t have sex at the party, at least not where Devlin fully penetrated her. But clearly there is enough that happened that make her worried about the potential he’s the father. And we can rule out something like her birth control failing at the Royal York/apartment encounters cause the dates don’t match up. I forget the exact range they told her she conceived, it was something like 8-10 weeks I think? But she was specifically concerned about the specific week the party happened because it was in that specific time frame, while her other encounters with Devlin were not.
JL23
2024-02-17 22:21:22 +0000 UTCI’m not ready to throw in the towel on Josh just yet. He’s turned on, and knows Kimmy is speaking some truth regarding how he feels, but he just doesn’t trust her anymore. You can’t have love and a marriage without trust. He is still clearly disgusted with her, and everything she is saying is making him more aggressive, not submissive. Kimmy is excited by Josh’s anger, and she continues to taunt him. She can’t back down now, but it just might backfire on her.
Kat
2024-02-17 22:01:34 +0000 UTCYou're right. She's never steered from that particular path. She's always been adamant how she thinks Josh is great and better. After Cayman I remember her thinking this whole thing could make him stronger. It felt like the world's most illogical and stupid reasoning at the time, but I can see where she's going with it now. If he has the strength to accept and get over this, well, he can work through just about anything. Of course, that's manipulative, self serving Kimmy telling "truth" that just so happens to get her exactly what she wants. An intact marriage with a Josh that's okay with her cheating. The dichotomy here is that if she'd used this approach from the beginning, I think he'd have been all in, with some encouragement. But she didn't, because neither knew before she was well down the path of darkness she learned to enjoy. Her lies showed them both the darkness they crave, but her lies are also responsible for the destruction of Josh's trust that is pivotal for this scenario to work. We'll see if her slick tongue can keep maneuvering Josh to the acceptance she wants.

2024-02-17 21:47:13 +0000 UTCI went back and read sections again, and I think I was practicing a bit of my own revisionist history, or at least I remembered it differently. The implications are all there that something happened, especially with her checking her temperature. I didn't remember it being so absolute she had gotten that far. That said, her actions in the house later in the book and in the next book may it pretty clear that whatever happened, it wasn't drawn out or planned. The implications are they went from fighting to kissing and maybe a bit more before they got walked in on, but her reactions to the sex scenes later may it clear she never had full on sex. Or at least they do to me. We'll see. She could be avoiding talking about it because not that much happened, telling Josh that now would just come across as a lie. Especially if what little bit had happened resulted in her getting pregnant. Then Josh would never believe her.
L_S87
2024-02-17 21:37:26 +0000 UTCRight now she needs Josh to believe he’s a better man than Devlin, and she knows he needs to believe that as well. FWIW I do think she mostly believes that…yeah Devlin has the giant cock but in every other way, in the ways that truly matter, I do think she believes Josh is the better man. I don’t think she BS’ing him there. But on the manipulative side, it also helps Josh come to terms with what she did, and why it shouldn’t end them. I still don’t really know how she’s going to explain the pregnancy and get him to be OK with it, but that’s for a future chapter (probably…maybe).

2024-02-17 21:07:37 +0000 UTCI see what you guys are saying and it makes sense. I did not remember the ovulation worry in the 1st book, but its definitely there. It feels like a contradiction to me only because the implication now is that more happened there then what was originally implied. Which as you guys point out could be true given Kimmy likes to practice revisionism a lot. It just doesn't mesh well with the car scene where she starts have sex and then backs out because all her thoughts and actions in those scenes imply that's the first time. If it was "just the tip" as you guys say, then it makes sense, but if there's some huge revelation that more happened, which is why Kimmy keeps avoiding the subject, then that feels off to me. It just doesn't mesh with her reticence in the first few books, imo.

2024-02-17 20:55:52 +0000 UTCThat is the courtroom lawyer in Kimmy coming out. She is arguing the obverse of "Falsus in unum, Falsus in Omnium" as "if one part of my argument is true, then all of it is true and correct." The argument does not have to work forever, just for now, and particularly if it clouds and slows Josh's thinking and responses. At this point Kimmy is just concerned with getting through the next few hours without a final break. She will just have to call on more of her gas reserves for later (BTW, has she filed an Environmental Impact Statement for all the methane combustion she has blown in Josh's direction over the past few months? Canadians take this climate stuff seriously, you know). She would be delighted if the fucking gave her the one week honeymoon Chris K mentioned above. That is an eternity for someone with her talents to devise and execute a strategy to keep Josh around and in line. I agree that she will try to wrap him up in the pregnancy now while he is wavering through her Jedi mind trick and not compos mentis.

2024-02-17 20:52:18 +0000 UTCThats a really good point, JL23. She didn't even bat an eye when he called her a snake. Or any of the other things except when he implied she was a whole. I think she *loves* the fact that he's acknowledging how wicked and evil she is. She had to be nice before, lie, deceive, cajole. Now she's putting all her evil meanness out there for him to see. Because she thinks she can get him to accept it. He hasn't walked away, he keeps engaging her. Yes, he's trying to get her to apologize and act contrite, but she's doing the opposite because she feels liberated to do so. And as awful as she is, I can't really blame her for this revelation. Sure, she's manipulating and lying through omissions while disguising this entire scenario as "truth", but what does she have to lose? Showing Josh contrition just means he throws her out on her ass after getting the satisfaction of seeing her cower and beg for forgiveness. No, she'd rather rub his nose in her obsession with evil and force him to choose between walking away or putting up with his new bitch wife who he still loves, even if there's parts of her he now hates.

2024-02-17 20:45:25 +0000 UTCYet this is where it doesn't make sense. Every time Josh gained confidence in the past to stand up to Devlin she told him he's my boss, don't talk to him like that. She stepped in to protect Devlin from the second chair. When Josh steps up to become a "man" she brings him down. She tells him fuck me with that little dick, while telling Devlin he doesn't have a small dick. Kimmy doesn't know what she wants. She's all over the place.
Chris K
2024-02-17 20:41:31 +0000 UTCYes, I think she got pregnant at the party with Devlin. And then when she got home and found out she was ovulating freaked out and went on birth control. I think she knows she got pregnant by Devlin and it all led to her gaslighting Josh and quite possibly having the full blown affair with Devlin? She probably thought I'm already pregnant my marriage is probably ruined might as well keep doing the deed with Devlin! And that's why she's hesitant to reveal her pregnancy to Josh. She might use as last ditch effort to save her marriage to Josh but I think she will gaslight and try to say it's his.

2024-02-17 20:39:22 +0000 UTCI think it’s pretty clear in the way she talks about him now is that Kimmy is really attracted to this Josh. A lot of it was her plan, the haircut, the new suit, but I don’t believe she ever anticipated Josh would get this wild and aggressive, and it really turns her on. So I think that’s part of why she’s taunting and acting cruel here. This Josh might be able to handle it. I still think she’s being manipulative here too, but I also think she’s really attracted to this Josh and wants to draw more of it out.
JL23
2024-02-17 20:27:34 +0000 UTCTrue. It would be interesting to hear from Devlin how far they went at that party. Not fucking with Josh, and not from Kimmys pov.
Chris K
2024-02-17 20:16:52 +0000 UTCAs for Tiffany’s party, I think there’s a possibility that Devlin got her pregnant that night. It doesn’t take much to get pregnant in the right circumstances. They tried to do it twice. Both times he was sort of inside. Kimmy has a very skewed view of what cheating is, and what constitutes intercourse. In her mind, the first time she really truly cheated on Josh was at the Royal York. Everything she did with Devlin was cheating. When Kimmy remembers what happened at the party, don’t you think her mind might be rewriting the history? Making it less of something than it really was? She has a hard time admitting true things, even to herself.
Kat
2024-02-17 20:05:58 +0000 UTCFinally, some actual truth from Kimmy. “I admitted it, Josh. I admit it all. I fucked him. I did it behind your back. I did it before I knew you wanted it. I kept doing it after I knew it turned you on.” This may be the only true thing she’s said to him throughout this entire story. Although, it’s still not 100% true, because she was planning to keep doing it regardless of Josh. Josh’s kink only added to the excitement for Kimmy. Gave her the perfect excuse to keep doing it. Kimmy sounds completely evil in this chapter. How can she say that she puts Josh on a pedestal, and that he’s everything to her, when she so fucking cruel to him? It’s hard to find anything likeable about her in this chapter. She’s sounds really vile. When we get Kimmy’s point of view, I suspect that some of the cruelty will be her defence mechanism, because she’s probably terrified that she’s really losing Josh this time. It seems like Devlin is the big loser in this chapter. Whereas in the earlier chapters, Devlin was the dark cloud directing everything, now it seems it’s only between Kimmy and Josh. Josh blowing up at Devlin seemed to help him quite a bit. He’s seen Devlin now at his complete worst, and he conquered him. If Kimmy keeps using Devlin as her device to keep Josh engaged, she’s going to fail. Talk about Devlin’s dick isn’t going to be as successful for her as it was in the past. While Josh still can’t help getting turned on, he’s also very disgusted. Devlin’s champagne cork pop was the last straw for Josh.

2024-02-17 20:01:32 +0000 UTCKT thank you for these brilliant scenes, fantastic. I would also like to express my appreciation for all the community insights and postulations. Kimmy had earlier imagined a pathway to save her marriage. Despite her cool, haughty demeanor I can imagine her giving herself a pep talk on the drive home... No weeping! No backing down! Be aggressive! I agree she is just barely hanging on and when Josh called her crazy in the hotel suite it hit home. Goodness, she was carrying around a Devlin sized dildo and wanking on his bedsheets. She had a tryst with Sophie's Mom, she was a sexual maniac. I hope there is no more sex with the human dildo. I agree about the gaslighting...I did it the first time for me but all those other squirting orgasms were for you and no more lies except for the one I just told you about the Royal York being the first time. I am also irritated with Kimmy using regret, twice, like some demented karaoke crooner " ...regrets I've had a few but then again too few to mention." Regret is much too mild Kimmy, I see trouble ahead but I am still hoping its Josh's baby and Kimmy and her magic pussy will end up with Josh.

2024-02-17 19:57:33 +0000 UTCI’ve always seen Kimmy and Devlin’s visions as opposite sides of the same coin. They both wanted to control how Josh acted and perceived things, but the conflict is they both wanted to control the other as well. Kimmy wants Devlin to just be a toy in her toy box that she only takes out when she’s ready to play, otherwise he stays happily forgotten in the box. But Devlin wants to control Kimmy personally, professionally and sexually, because in controlling Kimmy he exhibits even more dominance and control of Josh. And also, there’s that word “opposite” again. I’d personally hate this, but the “unity” could be Kimmy and Devlin finally coming to agreement on how they’d both control Josh.
JL23
2024-02-17 19:49:38 +0000 UTCMaybe I’m not remembering the first book right, but she’s immediately concerned about how far it went with Devlin and checks her temperature to confirm she was ovulating when they get home. And when she finds out she’s pregnant, she flashes back to that moment at the party as the one point she wasn’t fully protected. It was probably a classic case of “just the tip”, they didn’t have full penetrative sex at the party, but there was enough exposure to an unprotected Devlin where it’s conceivable he got her pregnant.
JL23
2024-02-17 19:41:58 +0000 UTCThe only reason I mention the party and pregnancy. Is immediately after the reunion party when they get to the apartment. A worried Kimmy goes to the bathroom, checks and finds out she is ovulating! So I'm just using a "Chekov's Gun" theory here that maybe Devlin and KImmy messed around to the point where he cummed into her with the tip of his cock. I could be wrong. We will see what KT has in store for us.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 19:33:51 +0000 UTCYes, I'm drawn to KT's darker stories as well. That's why I'm down with Landlord because the main heroine is not typically "bad" but forced to be due to her husbands circumstances. And even then you root for Charlie even though she is horribly naive and gets her and Johnny tied more deeper to Reza. But then I look at that as Charlie trying to exorcise herself and Johnny from Reza as fast as they can. I just love that series!
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 19:26:14 +0000 UTCI think she got pregnant either during the post hangover sex she had with Josh or the night at the Royal York. I don't think her birth control was in full effect yet?
Chris K
2024-02-17 18:51:15 +0000 UTCIf I remember correct, I believe at some point Kimmy specifically remembers that at the party they got as far as Devlin's head pressing unprotected into her crotch and that's it, which would allow for a remote if improbable possibility of pregnancy (still wish we had gotten a full write-up on that initial night, though).
Glaucon
2024-02-17 18:36:37 +0000 UTCI see where you two are going with this, my challenge is in the 1st and 2nd books, her actions don't really line up with her going that far. The way both of them acted in the car, especially Kimmy's reticence, don't mesh with her having already made the leap. I'm not saying it won't be written that way, only that I feel it would be a mistake because it's a huge contradiction.
L_S87
2024-02-17 18:28:53 +0000 UTCOh I think the sex she's trying to initiate in this chapter has a good chance of being her ideal opportunity to "come clean" as much as she needs to, as some people have speculated above.
Glaucon
2024-02-17 18:24:21 +0000 UTCJL, I don't think that's skewed, personally. Any view is a view! For me, I find the darker KT stories really interesting because I do think some of them, like Kimmy, are "bad" insofar as a moral judgment like that matters to a fictional character. It's still pretty interesting to read about the actions and rationalizations of a well-written selfish person! KT makes the characters in these stories feel real to a degree where it's hard for me NOT to engage with them morally, compared to other stories in the genre where a character like Kimmy might feel more like a plot device than a lived-in person.
Glaucon
2024-02-17 18:21:30 +0000 UTCThat's the easiest way to end this. Kimmy is only giving him 1/3 of the secrets she's keeping. It would be nice to see her flushed out fully. As far as Devlin? Who knows?
Chris K
2024-02-17 18:16:18 +0000 UTCI think she’s told us enough about the party in her monologue to know that Devlin and her started to have sex and something stopped them. Somebody walked in on them, whether that was Amy, Karina or someone else and they had to stop. Clearly though, Devlin was inside her for a period of time unprotected while she was ovulating at that party.
JL23
2024-02-17 17:57:54 +0000 UTCWhile we’re having fun, let me throw out a thought I had about a hypothetical endgame (not necessarily saying it’s likely, just a thought experiment before the ending is down on paper and we can’t make shit up as freely). Kimmy gets Josh to accept what’s happened in just the way she’s attempting above. The three-way relationship continues but with a twist: through the PI Josh has gained leverage/blackmail over Devlin. In the bedroom the dynamic persists in this way that everyone seems to get some enjoyment out of, but in the world outside the bedroom Josh (and Kimmy?) is in control over Devlin. He’s part of their game now on their terms. This would pay off on the recurring idea of Josh becoming sharper and more aggressive/ruthless/devilish, as well as subvert the typical bully/victim relationship in stories like this, without fully blowing up the sexual theme. Josh is still sexually “humiliated” regularly, but on another axis the dynamic humiliates Devlin as well. As a COMPLETE COINCIDENCE Kimmy gets everything she wants without any drawbacks. Maybe with some cap about Amy being the archdevil puppetmaster behind it all. Could this happen? I don’t know. Maybe. But it’s a fun thought.
Glaucon
2024-02-17 17:55:28 +0000 UTCEven though she’s not done with Devlin, I feel their relarionship has been ruined and I feel like Kimmy will just use both Josh and Devlin for her own twisted game to give Josh what she thinks Josh needs/wants (or better yet Kimmy needs Josh to want what she wants). But I don’t really see Kimmy being in league with Devlin no more like she was before.
Karl
2024-02-17 17:54:36 +0000 UTCFor me, the dark core of Kimmy's argument is essentially that enjoyment implies consent. Like if any part of Josh likes what she does then it's somehow hypocritical of him to consider her betrayal fatal to their love and trust. She takes this premise to its logical conclusion as her one way to get away with all the pain she's caused scot-free (which we know is basically all she cares about because we get her internal monologue), so she's going full bore to eroticize the betrayal.
Glaucon
2024-02-17 17:32:50 +0000 UTCShe is desperate now, pulling out all stops to get Josh to stay, or rather to stay in control. Her whole chemistry with Devlin has deteriorated at this point. It will be more interesting to see where Josh and Kimmy's relationship goes now that they are being more direct with each other. Could lead to something interesting, a bit more on equal terms. Though she still has many more skeletons yet.
Jack Dawson
2024-02-17 17:31:26 +0000 UTCI agree JL23 she still wants Devlin and she wants what they had in the hotel room with Josh. So Kimmy and Devlin are on the same page! I want to know more about the party that Kimmy doesn't want to reveal. I still think she got pregnant at the party by Devlin and it's connected so that's why she doesn't want to reveal it to Josh. Shell more likely gaslight him about it. We will see.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 17:29:00 +0000 UTCI admit that while I love the stories, characters and worlds that KT envisions, I don’t have a true grasp on the cuckold’s mind and what turns them on. And so I likely end up being too harsh on the heroines of these stories, and probably am looking for endings that may not be as realistic for what a cuckold might want. But these never feel like the classic cuckold stories, where the husband is perfectly happy submitting completely to his wife and the bull. Those can be fun, but they never grab me emotionally. KT stories are always more complicated and that’s what draws me to them. But me not wanting any form of this personally definitely does give me a skewed perspective on characters and a skewed perspective on the kind of outcome I’d want to see. Sometimes I do forget that.
JL23
2024-02-17 17:27:34 +0000 UTCI don't even think she's even done with Devlin even though she says she is. So I don't know how Josh could stay with her if that is even in the cards. Unless she fuck his head up so bad that it's back to how their relationship was with him at home taking care of the kid and her out fucking Devlin. I agree with your prediction that it's probably likely that Josh will fuck her to get the truths out. But then I think the image of her fucking Devlin and her lies will be to great and he'll boot her or leave. I don't see how he could be with her with Devlin anyway in the picture. Because she's liable to lie and go fuck Devlin behind his back. Not to mention she still works for him.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 17:22:16 +0000 UTCI like Kimmy too. Her character is sexy as hell and her chemistry with Devlin is great, but even after all she did, she was somewhat sweet at the same time. She's unhinged now. She has nothing left with Josh, that's used up. I wouldn't mind seeing her in a sequel series though!
Chris K
2024-02-17 17:18:51 +0000 UTCYes, some of the double talk had me as bewildered as Josh. “I did it all for you, but I was messing around with Devlin before I even knew you liked it.” She’s maddening, but Josh ultimately still loves her as much as he hates her. And I can see what you’re saying, this is her chance to get the pregnancy bomb out, and spin it in a way that might turn him on in that moment. “I don’t know Josh, maybe it’s Devlin’s, doesn’t that turn you on, that your bully knocked up your wife.” Feels like her goal coming out of the hotel room was to show Josh all her sins, then they could move on and never talk about it again. And go back to how I think she really wanted it, her messing around with Devlin behind Josh’s back and whispering half truths in his ear at night to turn him on. That may still be what she’s trying to set up here. Get all the lies out while she has him in a sexual haze, then never talk about any of them again.
JL23
2024-02-17 17:18:15 +0000 UTCIt seems to me from this chapter. Kimmy is not done with her twisted triad of her, Josh, and Devlin. Even though she keeps saying she's done with Devlin. I dont doubt that for a minute.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 17:09:09 +0000 UTCAt this point she is a bully just like Devlin. So torment and humiliation I would say absolutely.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 17:06:15 +0000 UTCYes! At this point her and Devlin make a perfect couple.
Andrew Mellein
2024-02-17 17:04:02 +0000 UTCMore truth, more lies, more manipulation. I thought the last chapter couldn't be topped, yet here we are. I find it interesting that the two biggest truths are shared between them. Kimmy's right, Josh is lying to himself, he does want this, or at least part of it. He's very conflicted, she knows it, and she's trying to bully him into ignoring the half that hates this because it conveniently gives her what she wants. The other big truth being Josh can never trust her again. Too many lies, and her saying no more lies is also a lie, and he knows it. Which is why its so hard to give into Kimmy's truth of what he wants. I find it humorous that at one point she says she's devoted to him, this is all for him, she always lies for him, yet also admits she started fucking Devlin for herself, and lied about it. She also is still patented Kimmy, ignoring the truths she doesn't want to tell. Like what happened at the party, or how she partnered with Devlin to do things behind his back. I have a feeling if Kimmy convinces him to fuck her (I think she will) she's going to use that as cover to unload her other truths. Pregnancy, Hyun, everything. Its the only chance she'll have to get that out there. The she can say, see, I said no more lying, I meant it. Now I want my penitence. Whether Josh walks afterwards is anyone's guess. Cause I don't know. I'd have said yes two chapters ago. Now....

2024-02-17 17:02:03 +0000 UTCIf he fucks her, it'll work for a week. "Honeymoon phase", he's just trading one Bully for another.
Chris K
2024-02-17 16:49:06 +0000 UTCContrary to most here, I quite like Kimmy. Her contradictory nature of loving Josh and her inherent badness makes her an interesting character. I like how this story goes with corrupting the husband, instead of the usual corruption of the wife in this genre.
Jack Dawson
2024-02-17 16:45:16 +0000 UTCPart of her game to torment Josh?
Karl
2024-02-17 16:40:18 +0000 UTCSeems like Kimmy (and maybe ultimately Devlin - I wonder if they talked about this as her “strategy” to “save” this before she left the hotel) is going to get what she wants, at least in this moment. She says she won’t lie anymore, but she still has to deal with her 2 biggest betrayals. Maybe I’m being harsh, but Kimmy is extraordinarily unlikable in this chapter. Perhaps cause it seems to be working on Josh when I was hoping it wouldn’t. Probably she isn’t still conspiring with Devlin, but I can’t get it out of my head that she is, that she told him “leave it to me now, I’ll get my husband back on the line again.” We’ll see where it goes from here I guess.

2024-02-17 16:30:28 +0000 UTCGood for Josh he’s fighting Kimmy and her bullshit lies! She’s truly evil bully Kimmy in this chapter especially in the final sentence. Kimmy’s pulling her bullshit gaslighting again saying he wanted her to fuck Devlin! I still think he doesn’t have sex with her and if he does he’s limp. Josh is disgusted by her lies, Devlin eating her ass out, her squirting, and comparing cocks! How could you want to have sex with the woman you thought you loved after that! I predict the pregnancy reveal is coming soon as a last ditch to bind Josh to her. I think no matter how much she gaslights Josh she’s losing him in this chapter! That’s why she’s more intense with the lies in this chapter.
