Omega Paw HR Pg. 3

So what's everyone been up to recently? I just finished Abiotic Factor with some other peeps, and I was thoroughly impressed with it.

As a big fan of the original Halflife, I haven't seen a game nail an art aesthetic so thoroughly in... I can't even think of another time it was this spot on. Between that and the level design, with all the areas interconnecting back on each other... Dang that was good

Only issue that really stands out: final boss was a bit... meh, but I find a lot of these games have trouble sticking the landing at the end. 'Sons of the Forest' comes to mind in that regard as well. At any rate, highly recommend if you enjoy survival-craft games.

What else...

Went back and played through Doom Eternal again for more skins because I have a problem.

Turbo Kid (game and movie) was a blast.

Oh! Lies of P expansion was incredible as well.

Other than that, just the usual boring work and gardening.

Yeah, the style is fantastic. Hmm... Perk choices... I suppose it depends on which aspects of the survival game you have problems with. Other question is if you're playing with friends. Friends really open up a lot of avenues for different builds, while solo play requires a slightly more all rounder approach. In general, all of the traits that give bonus skill XP were really good. If I had to guess, Wrinkly Brainmeat is probably in running for best. The deal with this game is % bonuses multiply off each other. So each additional one you stack on top for a particular skill is crazier than the last. Jobs also apparently have hidden XP buffs. I wouldn't begrudge anyone for looking on a wiki to see what they are. A quick example to illustrate what I talked about above: Only person I played with that maxed out a skill picked Paratheoretical, which gets bonus throwing and then took Decathalon and Wrinkly traits: 1.5 x 1.3 x 1.2 = 234% XP gained for throwing. Halfway through the game we were just dropping loads of grenades into his lap and he'd whip them at baddies' heads harder than a major league baseball player. Was pretty funny. If you find having to make food is too much of a hassle, you can always take Light Eater. I would say that at the beginning food, drink, etc. traits feel strong at the beginning, but once your cooking gets high enough you can run round with bowls of soup and it feels like the problem mostly goes away. Speaking of, I actually took the negative traits for food, drink, and bathroom just to have extra trait points to spend on the skill XP traits. First 10 hours of the game felt... Not great, but certainly manageable. Lead Belly, First Aid Cert, and Fanny (contentious) didn't feel great, though maybe there's some uses cases I wasn't seeing. If there's anything else specific you wanna know, just ask.

I loved Abiotic Factors half life style, but struggle with survival games. What were your most helpful perk choices?

I've been trying to clear my game backlog recently! Took a break from playing Dead By Daylight so much, so I've finally had the chance to sink into playing Civ 7 and get caught up on all my Hoyoverse games! (I'm like, a year behind on the story. It's a yikes!)

Yooo Jedi Survivor was really good! Well, except for one boss that was insanely bugged at launch. Grab attacks that sucked your char back into the hitbox were uh... interesting.

Caught the in the online games vortex, I was working on star wars Jedi survivor and atelier ryza but got mad when they announced deluxe versions
