Hello again~

We're getting close to the unpublishing of our patreon page. We will post an official announcement next Monday 25th of December.

In the meantime we bring to you a small update (v1.0a) with a new CG gallery and more.

v1.0a Official release date & info

Hello there,

We let you know that we will publish one more patreon update of Echoes from Valeth (v1.0a) on 22/12/2023 - D/M/Y. This is a small update and won't have a preferential release date for Backers/Benefactors.

This will be the last content update on Patreon. We wanted to finish all the editing process before publishing this patch, but due to a multitude of reasons this won't be possible.

The definitive version (v1.0b) which will include the chapter 12 edit, will come straight to all of you in January 2024 on Itch.io.

The next update includes:

- Chapter 11 fully edited by @OtterKeeby.

- A fair amount of CGs have been edited and improved to look less goofy.

- We've included a CG gallery!

- Tone sprite variation has been implemented across all chapters, except 12.

- General corrections.

What would have happened if Dracontar stayed in Victoriam for a little longer? Would have been an occasion for some father-son bonding?

Probably not.

What happens after v1.0?

Hello everyone,

This is a brief post to explain what will happen this December here on Patreon.

After the release of v1.0 the 1st of December (November 30th for Benefactors & Backers) you will be able to keep supporting the Aucyon Project until the Patreon page gets unlisted. The Echoes from Valeth story will be considered to be finished with update v1.0, but we expect to publish a definitive patch (v1.0a) mid December, which will include the final edits and visual/text corrections.

We will also reward the patrons who stay with us this December with the last poll. We will ask our patrons for proposals soon after v1.0 gets released.

We expect to release to the public the last version (v1.0a) somewhere from December 22th to January 1st (2024). The Aucyon Project patreon will get unlisted one day before this happens. Don't worry, we will announce the public release date as soon as possible.

Other than that, we wish to thank you all once again for your continued support.

See you soon with the release of Echoes from Valeth v1.0.

*OtterKeeby and Blakenfen have decided to postpone chapter's 9 edit update, as it contains a scene that it's considered pivotal in the story and are still working on delivering the best possible result. Important announcement - Final project assessment

Hello everyone, this is Blakenfen.

We're very close to v1.0 now. After two more chapters we'll be finished with Echoes from Valeth. We still plan to release patches to include edits, fix any errors, insert more content, and improve the overall experience. I’ll take this opportunity to give you some info about the current and future state of our work as a team.

Echoes from Valeth has taken roughly 15 months to complete with our current team, our available time, and our resources. We’re very proud of what we have achieved overall. We’ve been consistent with our production goals, adamant even, in bringing to you a new update each month. We love the story we’ve created, our characters: the good ones, the baddies, those who are gone and those who will continue. They’ve all played a role in the story and will always have a spot in our hearts.

We want to thank our patrons for their valuable support, especially those who have been with us all along the way and the ones who have contributed more to the project. It made a big difference as we kept pushing ourselves to get our visual novel out there.

The future:

Although we wish things could be different, I have to be honest about the reality of producing work like this. As a team we remained as optimistic as we could be while continuing to work very hard on EfV, but ultimately, the project did not achieve enough financial support for us to be able to do this long-term. In addition, as it takes a tremendous amount of time and energy to create visual novels, is not something we can continue to do as a hobby at the cost of paying bills and resting.

Therefore, we will be unpublishing our Patreon page once v1.0 is released to the public on itch.io this December, as we won’t have any more exclusive content to deliver and won’t be working on any new projects in the near future.

We wish things could be different in a way that enabled us to tell you more stories, but perhaps we will have another opportunity in the future.

Q/A:

Q: Will the Aucyon Project Patreon page work the same way until it is unpublished?

A: Yes, it will be the same as always.

Q: Is the Discord server going to disappear?

A: No. In fact, we encourage everyone on the server to keep building up our community and to receive news and additional content. The more support and interest we can generate in future work, the greater the likelihood we will be in a future position to fund it.

Q: What about your social media, like Twitter?

A: We won’t delete our social media either as this is another means of generating interest and support.

Q: What is going to happen with your next planned project, Silver Heaven?

A: Silver Heaven is a huge project compared to Echoes from Valeth. Still, we said we would develop the first volume of the VN (6 chapters). We want to do this, and we plan to, but we don’t know how long it will take before we have the opportunity. We need a break after working on EfV.

Q: Will the Patreon page come back in the future?

A: We’re optimistic that one day EfV might help generate enough of an interest in our team’s work to help fund future projects, under which circumstances we would be able to seek support on Patreon once more.

Q: Can I help the project in any way?

A: Spread the word. Help Echoes from Valeth reach more places: tell a friend, draw some fan-art, share our publications, rate EfV at itch.io, leave a comment and follow us at itch.io and on our social media, talk with other EfV community members at discord, etc.
