Doug Braithwaite's incredible line art and Diego Rodriguez's moody colors evoked a lot more horror than our first arc, so I leaned into that aspect while writing. Doug also asked me to set him up with a brutal one-on-one fight so I delivered that in this issue, and that fight is one of the best we've had in the series so far. Everyone on the team was inspired and that helped fuel a lot of high praise for our big Conan relaunch, bringing in both new readers and lapsed fans of old.
