Old Tiers Deleted

Hi everyone,  

The old $5 and $10 tiers have now been deleted. If you were still in one of these tiers, you are now in the 'No Tier' tier. Please either change to a new tier or unsubscribe, because if you remain in this tier you will still be charged your old price at the end of the month, without getting any benefits!   

To everyone who has switched over already, thank you very much for doing so. I know Patreon can be confusing and frustrating (as can Discord), so I really appreciate you bearing with me throughtout this.

Reminder: Please Change Tiers

Hey everyone! 

Just a reminder to all of those still in the old Hero or Superhero tiers, you will need to change to Citizen, Hero (New), or Superhero (New) to continue receiving content. Those old tiers will be deleted next week.

In addition, you NEED to be in one of the new tiers to receive an invite to the Discord server, and content will ONLY be delivered though the Discord server from now on.

Thank you to everyone who has switched over already! I appreciate that this is a bit of a bother, but it will really be a big help to me and, I hope, a better content delivery system for you all as well.

New Tiers Live! (Please Switch Over)

Howdy Everyone! 

The new tiers have gone live, and with them the Discord server. I apologise for it taking so long, I haven't done this before and there was a lot to juggle. 

Unless you are in the $1 tier, you will need to subscribe to one of the two new tiers. The tier you are currently subscribed to has been unlisted, and will be deleted later this month.The new tiers have attached Discord benefits, so if you join one of them you should have access to the Discord server, so long as you have your Discord account linked to Patreon (See https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266 for more details). 

This is required as all new content will be delivered through Discord, with only previews being posted to Patreon. Old content going back to the last demo has been updated so that it can still be viewed by the new tiers. There is already some new content on the Discord server waiting to be enjoyed!

This is a big changeover so please be patient. There may be issues but I will do my best to resolve them as they come. If you're having troubles please DM me and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. 

Other than that, thank you all for your continued support though this changeover. I'll see you all in the server!

Discord Update

Hey everyone,

As some of you may have noticed, the price increase and discord server have not manifested themselves yet. Unfortunately I've been having some issues with Patreon this weekend with payments not going through, and I've been trying to get that resolved.

Thankfully, that has been resolved now (and I was able to pay rent on time!), so I'll be doing the changeover tomorrow.

Upcoming Changes (Price Increase + Discord)

Hey Everyone,

We've got some pretty important changes coming up soon, so I just wanted to make you all aware of them in advance.

Firstly, I'm sad to say that I'm probably going to need to up my prices a little. I'm really sorry about this, but with how expensive the mere act of existing is getting these days, it has just become necessary. So with that said, I'm going to be increasing the $5 tier to $6, and the $10 tier to $12. Thankfully, one bit of solace you can all take is that raising prices on Patreon is a bit of a pain, requiring the creation of new tiers entirely and for everyone to switch over to those new tiers, so you can rest assured I won't be doing this again any time soon. However, this does tie in to the next major announcement:

I will be switching to a Discord server for content hosting. Pretty sure this is no big surprise, given I did the poll quite sometime ago, but I have finally managed to get the server set up and ready to go. I'm hoping that this will better facilitate content sharing, discussion, updates on the status of the game, and reduce piracy.

These changes are not going to be immediate though. I don't really want to mess around with price changes right as everyone's getting charged for the month, so the newly priced tiers, which will be linked to the Discord server, will be going live on the 7th of April, A.K.A. next Friday. I'll keep the old tiers up and running for about a week afterward to give people time to change over, but after that the old tiers will be shut down, and we will be entirely on the new system.

All that being said, it doesn't sit well with me to increase my prices without hearing what I could be doing better, or what more you'd like to see from me. So (while bracing myself), I would like to ask for any feedback you have on how I'm doing, what more you think I could be doing, or anything you've been particularly pleased or dissatisfied by. Also, feel free to suggest what you'd like to see out of a Discord server. I've made mine pretty bare-bones at the moment, as I'm not particularly looking to make it a community hub or anything, but I'm happy to hear any suggestions that you may have.

As always, thank you all for your continued support, especially through these rough economic times. I really can't express how much it means to me to have people who think what I do is worth a damn, and worth a dime, too. Your support means the world to me, and Texas's ongoing adventures (as increasingly dire as they seem to be), would not be possible without it.

Alright! With this move done, I now only have her lasso counter left to do (and a few [redacted] as well), so I'll probably start programming next week!

I thought I still had a whole bunch of Molly moves to do, and now I suddenly find myself almost done, heh.

Just a simple tail grab move. She'll be able to do this either as the last hit of her combo, or out of the shadows as a surprise attack.

Really pleased with how this came out, particularly that little stitching animation. The latter portion with Texas is just a standin I'll use for the first demo, but I actually want to have three possible poppet-based moves for Molly that can chain off this. One foot based, one pit based, and one ass-based.

And it's intentionally a little long so that the player has time to run over and knock the doll out of Molly's hand before she can finish. 

Molly Fur Pluck

Reaching out from the shadows to grab a few strands of fur. I wonder what she could be needing those for?

This animation took all of about 5 minutes. What took a lot more time was getting it coded into the game to work with the lighting/shadow system I have in place for the Molly fight. That was an uphill battle. Still, it's in now and looking good, and I now have code that can recognize and differentiate light from shadow... most of the time. 

Molly Rat Throw Impact (No KO)

Wham. And the rat is gone.

This is the no-KO ending to this move, which is the only ending that will be in the first demo for Molly. The KO's will get animated after I have everything working, same as always. 

Discord Server?

Hi everyone,

I've been wondering for a while now whether it'd be easier to have a Discord server for my Patreon content. Admittedly I'm not particularly social, nor do I have experience running or moderating a Discord server, but it would provide a better gallery than Patreon does, and would certainly prove easier for me to upload content without needing to switch between Patreon accounts. 

I'm not sure how people feel about Discord Patreon servers though, so I just wanted to do a quick poll to gauge people's feelings on the matter.

Phew. This one gave me a bit of trouble, and I still need to make sure it works with the two other groups of rats she can spring up behind, but I'm pretty pleased with this thus far!

Third hit in the combo! I've been tinkering with a 4th, but I don't think I'll keep it, and if I do I'll come back to it later.

Some basic attacks for Molly. She'll have a third part to this where she swings into a hip-check, but I'll handle that on Friday.

Weirdest walk cycle I've ever done. Nine frames, giving her a loping gait and asymmetrical wobble. 

Molly's not the athletic type, so walking isn't her forte.
