I just upgraded my graphics card from an RTX 3080 to an RTX 4090, mainly for Blender and frame interpolation, not really for video rendering, I will still use my Mac Studio to do the final rendering.
The old RTX 3080 only has 10GB of VRAM, so it struggles when the scene becomes complex in Blender. However, I believe a professional 3D artist can optimize the scenes and textures to make it work really well, although I don't know much about that, I only learn what I need to achieve what I want, as always, just like video editingš
Ever since I started making videos, I haven't stopped thinking about two things: how to improve my videos and how to speed up my workflow. I believe that hardware upgrades will always be the "easiest" way to speed things up, so I plan to do regular hardware upgrades in the future. I will consider upgrading the other parts of the PC, such as the CPU, once I think they are bottlenecking the performance.

Itās a color coded lyrics website, but the main purpose of this website is to give you guys a new benefit, as a New Year gift. I will only post there once I finish a line distribution video. It will take some time to edit a post, so I probably won't post lyrics for older videos there.
The website currently only has two pages, but I may add more later if necessary. It should work on phones as well.
Chinese New Year is coming, so I might not have a lot of time to make videos in the upcoming week, but I will try my best to post as many as possible.

Hello everyone, I just added a new feature to the random_k website, an editor in which you can edit the distribution by yourself.
You can use it however you want, if your editing is quite accurate, I can then use it for my videos, it can save me some time, you can also edit roughly just to give me a reference.
There are three types of items in this editor:
1. Normal part, the start time of the part means when the bar for this member in the video starts to grow, and the end time means when the bar stops. If the part has lyrics, then it also means the lyrics bubble will pop up at the start time of this part.
2. Lyrics part, when a member sings many lines nonstop, it's not a good idea to put all the lyrics in one part, it will end up having a really big bubble in the video. You can add a lyrics part to tell me when I should show the lyrics. Only the start time of this part matters.
3. Note, you can also add a note part just to tell me something, like you are not sure about something, or a Youtube video url with timestamp to prove your opinion.
You can find a 'My Distributions' in the drop down menu on the top right corner, it will show all your editing records.
Editing will cost some time, so I am not asking you guys to submit the distribution for how would in this editor, you can still do it the old way, write it in text and send it to my email, but you can use this editor as well.
Right now this editor is only available for those who have submitted at least 10 votes, but if you really want to use it to help me save some time, please feel free to contact me.

A huge thanks to the community, I was able to bought a new Mac Studio, it's a huge upgrade from my 2 years old Hackintosh (Non-Apple computer running Apple's macOS).
I purchased a Mac Mini when Apple released it back in 2020, but the performance isn't much better than my Hackintosh, so I returned it, and since then, I have been waiting for Apple to release a new Mac Mini with a better chip. The chip inside the Mac Studio isn't new, it has already been used in MacBooks, but I don't need the mobility, so the new released Mac Studio is perfect for me.
As you might already know, I do all the editings on the Hackintosh, so I will do the editings on the new Mac Studio from now on. I have tested the rendering speed, it's almost the same between Mac Studio and my Windows PC, it doesn't mean I can sell my Windows PC now, because I still need it to do frame interpolations, and Blender performance on Windows is still way better.
The Mac Studio I bought is a base model (M1 Max) with a $200 upgrade for 32 cores GPU, it only has a 512GB SSD, the upgrade on storage is very expensive, so I decided to upgrade by myself using external SSDs. My plan is to buy a faster SSD as a working drive, then a cheaper but larger one as storage drive.
This all wouldn't have been possible without all of your support, so thank you all š

The CPU is actually a 9th gen i7, not an i9, and it has two graphics cards, the first one is a RX 560 XT (showing as RX 470), and the second one is a RX 580 I bought later, it was a mining card, dusty, loud, but super super cheapš

Hello everyone, recently I have been using Blender(3D software) to make music visualizers for line distribution videos, it's fun and I'm still learning everyday, but there is one problem, it takes hours to render.
You might have noticed the lower quality of the visualizer in the past few videos, it's because I have to lower the resolution, framerate(I do frame interpolation later), quality, samples, lighting... but even after this, some still need more than 8 hours to render. The fan is running loud for hours, I have to wear headphone all the timeš
So if you find a visualizer has lower quality, please remember I have tried my bestā¤ļø

For those who are interested, this is my workflow for line distribution videos.
I have two computers now, one is a hackintosh (computer running Apple's macOS) I built in May last year, it has some second hand parts, so itās cheaper, I do all the editing on it. The second one is a Windows PC, which I built this January, it's more powerful, it has a AMD 5900x CPU and a Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card, but because I'm used to working on macOS and also I don't play PC games, so I only use this computer for rendering, it's way faster than my hackintosh.
I can afford these two computers only because all the support from you guys, it was a nightmare before this, my videos are all 4K60fps, a regular video on Youtube is like 1080p24fps, technically, a 4K60fps video has 8 times more pixels to process than a 1080p30fps video, not only the rendering was way slower, every step of my workflow was slower.
Iām still planning to buy a new Apple Mac Mini or Macbook to replace my hackintosh, since it's likely impossible to build a hackintosh in the future because Apple is using their own CPU/GPU now, the softwares Iām using now might be outdated very soon.

It's not a replacement for the VIP requests, It's a benefit for non-vip tier patrons, everyone can vote on the requests, of course, I hope this will also get me more patrons.
Because I wonāt be able to resume VIP requests now, I still have lots of requests left to do, if I donāt pause the billing next month, VIP patrons will also be charged, so Iāll have to ask VIP patrons to downgrade before October 1st. once Iām ready to reopen VIP tiers, you can have your tier back if you want to.
Iām also planning to add a feature to let VIP patrons submit/change requests directly in this app, although it wonāt be easy to do.
The amount of token is based on how much money you spend in the current month, since the billing was paused, current patrons should have 0 token. I have gifted 2 tokens to every one of you, it will be automatically claimed after login.
