Weekly Progress Update [25/FEB]

Hi, everyone!

I have started doing the layout for chapter 4 more seriously but I do kind of want to take my time with this chapter so starting from next month I only want to write around 9k words per month because I feel like at times I completely ignore everything else in my life and just write... 😥

Anyway, as I'm doing the layout I think there might be a smooch scene with an RO and you're probably thinking "WOAAAH SO SOON?" and yeah it's very soon oops. I will likely push it to chapter 5 just for my own satisfaction but I'll try to do chapter 5's layout along with chapter 4 so I can have things more clear in my head.

I always wanted this scene to happen even if people hate me and you're like "why would someone hate a kiss scene hello" but you know how I am. 🤭

Aside from that I'm glad I finally have the coding stuff for the bonus content done because dear god that part was the part that took me forever. 💀 I will try to post the rest of the content soon since this month is basically over.

Soarine : The early visit

Hi, everyone! Soarine's pov of what happens when Vincent visits her room in chapter 3 is finally here.

This takes place after Soarine arrives in Rosea, this kind of assumes MC went to greet her but it's not the focus so I think it won't be a big deal. ^^

Weekly Progress [18/FEB]

Hello, everyone! Sunday is a dreadful day, can't believe Monday is what lies ahead. /j

Does anyone else feel like I released Chapter 3 forever ago? I saw someone say it was released two weeks ago and I was like wow that's not a lot. 😭

I feel incredibly unproductive these days but fear not! Soarine's pov scene is coming in a day or two or three but definitely next week. Excited and nervous about the reception of it but we'll see.

I kind of miss writing Catalina but I think that one time I wrote Catalina and Farah I spoiled myself so now I itch to write more about her but if I do then there's no mystery so she's in the back of my mind.

Soarine's portrait is coming soon, yay! I'm also looking to get some little art of E so that will be nice.

I really don't have much to say these days, being on a "break" is more boring than I expected. I promise I'll start the production for chapter 4 soon. 🫡

Weekly Progress Update [11/FEB]

Hello, everyone!

Would anyone be mad if I said I was still in the whole chapter 3 phase of things? Because I am! To be fair it released only a few days ago but somehow feels like forever. 😥

In terms of patreon content, I'm thinking I'll do the scene between Soarine and Vincent in her room from Soarine's pov because she's a whole puzzle and I like to write her . 🫣

For Vincent's pov I'm thinking I will do the part where Vincent tells MC he will be their guard for the following month.

For the non RO characters one, a lot of people seem to want the scene in the burnt room route when Lancelot takes Luceris away but I don't think I'll write it because I like the mystery of it lol and because I have too many ideas of how it goes. I will most likely do the scene at the tent when Luceris tells MC about going to Vesphire and all the choices. ✨️

I have started thinking more deeply about chapter 4 and I can't quite decide on the character that will be in opening scene of it because there are 3 characters that would do well and I think they all would have an interesting conversation to have.

One of the characters in mind is Fadiya, mainly because there's this one scene I want to write but I might keep it for later into the story because it's kind of an angsty scene LOL. Things will remain well between them for now... maybe.

Also I think I'll receive Soarine's portrait mid to late February so there's that. I can't wait to see her!

Chapter 3 Scene POV ideas

Hello, everyone! In light of Chapter 3 being released I wanted to see what scenes you would like to see from another character's point of view!

Comment the scenes you'd like to see and which character's pov 🥰 Since this month is Soarine and Vincent's turn I will prioritize their scenes and one of the non RO characters.

It would be fun if each scene was commented separately so I could see which ones get the most likes as in which one everyone wants the most. ^^

Weekly Progress Update [04/FEB]

Hello, everyone!

I'm still on my little break after chapter 3 so there hasn't been any substantial progress. I've been kind of doing the chapter 4 layout in my head and right now it starts with a scene with Lancelot. 🤭

I think it will be a lot of Fadiya in chapter 4 which I'm happy about because she didn't get much in chapter 3 🙏

Anyway, that's all I can say before I start spoiling a chapter that hasn't even been written yet. See you next sunday!

Weekly Progress Update [28/JAN]

Hello, everyone!

First of all, thank you for the support over the last few days! There are so many of you here right now it's giving me stage fright LOL.

Tier 2 gets access tomorrow and it will come with the edited chapter 1 since only the prologue was edited when I first released chapter 3. Sadly no codex yet but I think I'll just wait for Soarine's portrait lol.

I might open a Q&A tomorrow and just answer questions in the comments in case anyone wants quick answers to their questions in terms of chapter 3 since I most likely won't answer much on my tumblr until a week or more has passed since public release, is anyone interested in that? Let me know. ^^

Chapter 3 : Early Access

Hello, everyone! Sorry for the slight delay, I forgot this one section wasn't working so I had to completely change it up.

Now for a quick overview :

- Your old saves will not work properly due to stat changes.

- The demo has been edited and there are options for new hair colors, freckles/beauty marks, and even a favorite toy. Chapter 1 and 2 don't change much overall there just some different wordings and a few different choices but nothing too big.

- The current demo's chapter 3 does not have all of the stats ready so the profile part will not be updated. When this goes public everything will be ready though.

- I don't think there are bugs but if you do encounter any just send me an ask on tumblr, discord, or use the google forms for the bugs (linked in the pinned post of tumblr)

- The codex and achievements aren't ready yet, sorry!

- I hope everyone enjoys it! I will most likely not answer anything because I am so nervous LOL but feel free to ask me anything and I will get to it sometime soon. <3

Weekly Progress Update [21/JAN]

Hello, everyone!

I keep forgetting about these, maybe because I'm done with writing chapter 3 so I don't have much to say. 😭

I've been editing a little, just sentence and stuff while coding it. I don't think the codex will be up with the patreon demo because I'm still missing Soarine's art and haven't had the time to write some of the character page things, but I'm hoping it will be done by the time it releases publicly!

I will post the monthly character shorts after I post the demo for Tier 4 and 3, I haven't forgotten so don't worry.

Weekly Progress Update [14/JAN]

Hello, everyone! Yes the date is yesterday's because I messed up and forgot to post this but I don't want to ruin the dates. 😭😭

Anyway... This week was alright in terms of productivity, I have rewritten and edited around 42k words out of 50k words which is a lot! I will probably be done in a few days but that still doesn't mean release day since I haven't properly rewritten some parts of the currently available content.

I could just release chapter 3 on here then work on the other aspects but I don't know, if anyone has opinions on this let me know.

Weekly Progress Update [7/JAN]

Hello, everyone!

First report of the year, kinda scary lol.

Progress this week was good, I have been writing and coding and making the UI look nice.

I didn't post a schedule this month because I want to focus everything on chapter 3 right now and then we will see when I get to post the other stuff.

As I said last time, I will be posting a ~18k demo for Tier 4 and that is definitely happening! I am almost done coding it but there are some coding things I'm leaving for later because it would be too annoying to figure it out right now. Again, it is a draft and some parts might sound not as smooth but I still want to put it out there haha.

This week I received the Vincent portrait which I'm sure everyone has seen already on my tumblr and that was really cool. It feels kind of bittersweet that the next one is the last. 😭

If I could I would be commissioning art every month because it's just so fun to see and it felt like I was using the money I get from here for this project. I just feel like getting them makes up for my slow progress. 🥲

Anyway, happy new year because it's still very early into the year and I hope everyone is having an amazing year so far!

Weekly Progress Update [31/DEC]

Hello, everyone!

I can't believe my last update of the year is on the last day of the year, thank god that I didn't say something like "see you next year" in my last one because that would've been embarrassing lmao.

Before we get into the update, I just want to thank everyone here who has been supporting me and I truly believe I wouldn't be where I am in terms of everything without you guys. Your support truly means the world to me!

I want to wish everyone a very happy new year and I hope all of your hopes and wishes for 2024 come true. 💗

Now, let's talk about my week.

Progress has been going well! I thought it would take me a bit more to recover but somehow its been very smooth haha. There's a still quite a few scenes left for me to edit and be done with chapter 3 but that's my fault because I keep adding things to what I have already written but I am certain everyone will appreciate the additions.

Right now I have 40k words that I don't think I will be editing much but there are still many many placeholders and around 7k of very bare bones drafty text that I have to edit and make presentable. So overall chapter 3 is 47k+ right now and I will make sure it doesn't go over 50k by the time we are done because I'm stubborn that way, if it does then it will be less than 55k. 

There's this "fight" scene and honestly I wasn't built to write action so that's scary lmao.

After that is done with, I still have to rewrite the stuff that is available in the demo.

But for today, I'm stuck on peeling and chopping garlic duty because fresh garlic paste is apparently essential for the upcoming year ahead.

Weekly Progress Update [24/DEC]

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone is having an amazing day.

This week wasn't all that great because it's December and everything is a mess and hectic lol.

Sorry again for all the delays this month, it's not something that happens often but sometimes things just don't go according to the plan.

Things are very stressful for me in life right now and honestly I'm so drained 💀 With where I am mentally right now I don't really see myself being able to release chapter 3 in its entirety during early January which is why I will be posting a demo with around 15k words of chapter 3 (because the rest is an unedited mess with placeholders everywhere) for Tier 4 in the first few days of January.

You might say "Coe there are limited spots for Tier 4, no one is gonna be able to read it!?" and you are right! I don't really like my drafts and I make changes to things constantly so I would rather not show something like this to a large audience 😭 Tier 4 is small and tiny so I won't embarrass myself in front of a crowd haha. I will only be posting it for Tier 4 because I don't want people to think I'm not writing anything at all + this way I get some feedback. It is more for my peace of mind than anything, sorry once again.

I still very much want to release the entire Chapter 3 in January and I will work hard to do so!

December : Development Sneak Peek

Since it is December and xmas is right around the corner, I will be showing little snippets of some parts with the ROs that I think are cute in Chapter 3! I keep changing things so if these don't show up when the chapter is officially out then I'm sorry LOL.

Fadiya

Not long has passed since Fadiya’s previous relationship came to a close, prompting a subtle narrowing of her eyes in response to Soarine’s inquiry.

Rather than addressing Soarine’s question directly, Fadiya turns her attention toward you, a curious glint in her eyes. “And what about you? What kind of person do you like?”

(This choice is only available to childhood crush @ Fadiya people)

• Choice • “I suppose someone who is a bit oblivious.”

Confusion clouds Fadiya’s expression, a furrow forming between her brows. “That’s an odd preference…” she mutters, utterly missing the implication as her expression reflects sheer confusion, completely oblivious to the hidden meaning behind your words.

Helios

Before turning to leave, Helios pauses, his expression softening as he casts a fleeting glance back at you. “Vesphire was really beautiful,” he acknowledges before continuing, “In many ways, it reminded me of you.”

• Choice • “My, my, is that a compliment?”

Helios stiffens, a sudden realization seemingly dawning upon him, as if he’s become acutely aware of the implications buried within his previous statement.

“I didn’t mean it in that way,” Helios interjects hastily, a blush tinting his cheeks as he scrambles to clarify, his voice earnest yet slightly flustered. “Not that you aren’t, of course you’re beautiful. I just—”

Your raised eyebrow prompts him to halt his stumbling explanation, his words dissipating into a nervous silence.

Hunter

“Why did they even allow someone with such a terrible aim to join this hunt?” they grumble, checking their arm for any potential injury.

“I did tell you to wear your armor,” Helios chimes in.

“And I told you it feels like being stuck in a steel cocoon.”

Glancing through the newly formed tear in the fabric, you catch an unexpected sight—a hint of ink decorating Hunter’s skin, a detail previously concealed beneath layers of clothing.

“You have a tattoo,” you remark, observing the design.

Hunter looks down at their arm, then meets your gaze, a mischievous glint in their eye. “I do,” they wink playfully, “It’s quite the crowd-pleaser.”

Soarine

Soarine takes up the bow confidently, nocking an arrow and drawing the string with precision. The arrows slice through the air, one after the other, each finding its mark dead center on the apples perched atop the dummies.

With a triumphant grin, Soarine turns towards you, her eyes gleaming with victory. “Looks like I’ve earned my wish,” she says, her tone teeming with playful triumph.

“And what would that be?” you inquire, curious about her request.

“I want you to spend the entire day with me,” she replies, her request sincere but delivered with a hint of jest.

• Choice • “I was already ordered to do so.”

"I know," Soarine smiles, “but I want it to be because you want to.”

Vincent

Before you can take one step out of the room, a sudden, unexpected impact crashes against your forehead. A startled yelp escapes your lips, your hand instinctively rising to the spot where a forceful knock just landed.

Vincent bows slightly, an apology slipping from his lips. “I apologize, I didn’t realize someone would walk out of the room just as I was about to knock,” he says in a flat, monotone voice, as if implying that the unexpected collision was somehow your fault.

• Choice • You casually wave your hand, “It is fine, accidents happen.”

Vincent’s response is an inscrutable nod, his expression barely altering.

Despite the years that have passed since your last encounter, his demeanor remains as cold and detached as you remember.

Weekly Progress Update [17/DEC]

Hi, everyone!

This week was so hectic, this is what happens when it's xmas season. 😭 It will be January soon though yay but that's kind of scary... maybe it's just me though LOL.

Anyway, this week was pretty nice in terms of writing though. I kind of think I won't have the time to send this off to beta testers if I do want this to be up here by the deadline I set in my mind so I've been thinking maybe I'll give my inferno tier people an extra extra early access 🤔 but then I'd get called out for using them for beta testing when they're basically customers and get canceled probably LMAO. So this is me saying "who wants to beta for me haha...?" on here.....

Anyway (again), I added a new Vincent scene so the fans don't grill me alive (kidding, I was missing him) but people will have to like choose 4 different options to even get it BUT it's pretty easy to get to be honest. Like unless you hate everyone and their mothers and just want to sleep forever and not talk to anyone at all. He's still out there even if you do relate to what I described just now so don't even worry about it.

Also I was planning on having timed choices this chapter but I'm scared of coding that so I will probably leave it for when I'm at chapter 9 and finally decide to face my demons aka coding.

Weekly Progress Update [10/DEC]

Hi, everyone! Late update because I forgot about this for some reason.

Progress is kind of slow these days which I'm not happy with but I think it's because I moved too many things to the future chapters because it felt like chapter 3 was getting too much lol so now I'm stitching it back together.

Currently I'm writing variations for the routes but they won't be too long so after that there's just 3 more scenes until chapter 3 is done! I like to say scenes because it makes it look little but each scene is like 6k words so... 

I'm looking forward to being done with this so I can go back and edit the prologue and etc.

Also, the poll ended for the interactive mini-game and jealous Hunter won! Woo! 🎉 Can't wait to get started on that. 🤭

Helios’ Short Story : The first snow

Hello, everyone! Due to some technical problems, this story wasn't coded today. It will most likely be in the file by next saturday but for today, you can read it here lol. This takes place after MC's birthday but before E's birthday ball, so this is when Helios first went to Vesphire.

Snow was a novelty to Helios, a stark contrast to the warm climate he was accustomed to.

As he admired the snowy landscape through the window, a sudden sneeze interrupted his reverie, prompting him to turn away, the chill outside making its presence felt.

Just then, E entered the room, breaking the wintry silence, a servant trailing behind with a tray adorned with a steaming mug and an assortment of sweets.

“I got you a warm drink,” E offered with a gentle smile, setting the tray down on the table in front of Helios.

Helios looked up, “Thank you,” he responded warmly, a hint of gratitude in his voice, touched by E’s thoughtfulness.

The aroma of the hot beverage filled the air, its comforting scent promising warmth against the wintry chill. Helios reached for the mug, feeling the comforting heat emanating from it, a welcomed contrast to the frosty atmosphere outside.

“I hope you like it here, despite the sudden change in weather,” E said, eyes sparkling with a mix of excitement and nervousness, clearly trying to make Helios feel welcome.

“I must admit, snow is quite pretty,” Helios remarked, taking a sip of the hot drink. “It’s a nice change from the warmth back home.”

E watched him attentively, a soft smile playing on their lips, clearly enjoying Helios’ reaction to the snow. There is an unmistakable fondness in their gaze, an affectionate sentiment that doesn’t escape Helios’ notice.

Taking a seat in the chair across from Helios, E settled down, the table between them holding the serving tray and their conversation.

“So, tell me about things back in Rosea,” E prompted, a curiosity glinting in their eyes. “How has everything been since...” E hesitated for a moment, choosing words carefully, “your father and the Consort…”

Helios wasn’t unfamiliar with how odd the situation was so he was prepared to answer such questions. “It’s been an adjustment, certainly,” he admitted.

E’s expression remains impassive, a subtle hint of reservation tainting their demeanor at the mention of the Royal Consort. “And how is your relationship with them?” E inquires cautiously.

Helios paused, weighing his words. “It’s...cordial.”

If Helios were to be honest, his interactions with $name were few and far between. When they did occur, they were often formal or arose from unfortunate incidents.

But Helios didn’t mind it. In truth, Helios found solace in the slight distance between them.

“Why the sudden questions?”

E played with their fingers, “I heard they were known for their beauty. I was just curious about your perspective.”

A hint of amusement danced in Helios’ eyes at E’s inquiry. Before he could respond, E’s expression shifted slightly, a pout forming on their lips as they muttered softly, “I’m definitely better than the Consort.”

The unexpected declaration caught Helios off guard, and a chuckle escaped his lips. He reached out playfully, messing up E’s hair with affectionate fondness. “Is that so?” he teased, a genuine smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

E’s feigned offense was evident in the playful swat of their hand. “Stop!” they protested, trying to fix their disheveled hair with an exaggerated pout, though a twinkle of amusement danced in their eyes.

E cleared their throat, regaining composure, and with a touch of sincerity in their tone, they expressed, “But honestly, I’m pleased you’re here. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask me. Or my brother, I suppose.”

“Thank you. Where is your brother?”

E hummed thoughtfully, “He’s likely out on a hunting expedition. I imagine he’ll return soon, especially now that you’re here.”

Helios and E’s brother had never been particularly close; the sibling was known for their eccentric personality, to say the least.

E rose from their seat, indicating their departure. “Well then, I’ll take my leave. Enjoy your drink before it gets cold.”

Helios nodded, acknowledging E’s departure, and turned back to the window, gazing out at the gently falling snow.

Weekly Progress Update [03/DEC]

Hello, everyone!

Progress this week was not good, I think I only managed to write 2k words 😥 I don't know what happened but I need to get over this quick.

I have been moving some scenes I wrote to later chapters just because it felt too soon lol I'm already thinking about chapter 4 and stuff and I'm super excited.

Not sure how much I can say on here but Helios and Soarine have the most scenes in this Chapter so they are finally getting the spotlight they deserve!

Weekly Progress Update [26/NOV]

Hello, everyone!

Progress was okay this week, my wifi died because someone cut the wifi line outside our apartment for some reason so I was essentially running around town for 2 days LOL I tried to write offline but it didn't sync and I lost my motivation for 1 more day because I hated that I lost the progress. 😭

So basically, I only wrote for 4 days this week so it wasn't the fastest week.

My brain has been scratching to add some things to the prologue so I'm putting that aside for when I'm done with this chapter, MC will now be even more pitiful.

I think a january update for Patreon will be possible because I'm writing 6-8k a week, I want to make the update available on here on Jan 14 just because that was the day I first posted the demo! Let's hope it will be possible.

My goal for the next month is just writing so yeah, please cooperate my dear brain. 😥

November : Development Sneak Peek

Hello!

I was going to show a bit of the UI but I'm not that confident about it so you are still getting the writing bit only lol.

This is a scene I wasn't going to include before, just because I thought it wasn't particularly necessary but something struck me and now it does feel like it will be good to include it. Somehow feeling like Helios is stealing the show in Chapter 3.

So here is a bit of it!

The sight of light spilling from the room’s bottom gap is an unusual sight, considering the room’s general seclusion. Rarely does anyone venture inside, or at least, you have never witnessed any activity there.

• Choice • Check who is in there.

Pushing the door ajar, the soft glow of the lamp on the bedside table floods the hallway. The gentle rustle of paper reaches your ears, hinting at someone engrossed in reading, perhaps lost in the pages of a book.

Stepping further into the room, you’re met with a sight that catches you off guard—Helios, seated at the edge of the bed, immersed in a book.

It shouldn’t startle you, not really, considering this space belonged to his late mother.

Sensing your arrival, Helios lifts his gaze from the book, visibly startled. He rises from his seat with a slight jump, an apologetic look gracing his features.

“Your Majesty,” he greets with a slight bow of his head, “I apologize for not sending word of my visit to this palace… I will take my leave now.”

His words carry a hint of unease, an unexpected encounter seemingly catching him off guard.

You're not sure what compels you to say he doesn’t have to leave but you do.

Love how both of them are like :0 LOL anyway I thought it would be kind of interesting seeing the differences in how this scene plays out in Farah's room depending on what MC did in Chapter 2.

Yes it is coming to bite everyone who burned the room in the ass but it's probably more sad for Heliosmancers, everyone who wants to see him suffer will be happy though. 😭

Sorry guys I wrote 1 line of fluff and needed 10 lines of sadness to balance it out.

This also made me remember I need to rewrite the birthday ball short for the people who burned it because while Helios will still be nice (overly nice even) I think some bits of 😥 are expected because that was his mother's room after all.

I do think Helios has forgiven MC in his heart for that because he's way too nice and understanding and I wish he wasn't sometimes but he is and you can hurt him all you want!!

This scene is skippable by choosing to not check so MC can encounter someone else.

Weekly Progress Update [19/NOV]

Hello, everyone! Hope this week was good to everyone.

In my hurry to post the last update I completely forgot to set goals but it's okay because I still worked on this lol.

I've been mostly rewriting certain parts and adding scenes. There's this one scene that I'm really happy I got to include because I feel like it's necessary  between MC and someone and it would tie some things together. But I might remove it to have it later on but well it is what it is.

I'm also trying to get some extra art bits for the MC's profile because I felt like it was too empty since everyone's getting something. I will be redoing the entire profile because I think I prefer stat bars over text lol it would be more organized to me.

I didn't work on the character profiles just because I want to focus entirely on chapter 3, everything else is just extra. I'm happy with the way things are progressing and I feel like I'll be able to put this out a bit earlier than expected but I make no promises.

Also, for the tiers that can get a custom short story after a certain amount of time, please reach out to me when you meet the requirements! Initially I was reaching out to people but I realized I couldn't keep track of everyone so you will have to help me out on this. I did add this to the membership thing a few months ago but a lot of people haven't reached out so I'm just including this in here. Thanks!

Weekly Progress Update [12/NOV]

Hi everyone! This completely slipped my mind so that's why it's so late today. 😭

I know I was supposed to focus on certain things and that I totally shouldn't have started editing the chapter when it's still a draft... but I did. So I actually didn't really like the pacing and flow of the first bit of the chapter but I was like "It's just the first draft this totally doesn't bother me" but it did bother me so I'm back at the part where Luceris and MC talk.

In terms of the chapter layout/beat sheet, I did figure some things out and what else I wanted to add so basically overall I'm editing things. I feel bad that I'm going back and forth on everything but I promise it will make things better.

About the non RO profiles, I'm kind of thinking of getting sketches for each character (aside from Catalina lol) so they still have something. I don't know, I'm stuck in a hell called "I feel bad these characters don't have much" someone send help LOL. I'll try and figure it out. But I can say that you will get a little peak at the profiles and stuff in the next development sneak peek! 🫶

Weekly Progress Update [05/NOV]

Hello! Hope everyone had a good week. 🫶

You know, I like having goals on here because I can actually talk about something and people will know what I'm talking about lol.

I think I figured out what to do with the non RO character profiles, although they might look ugly on pc. I will ignore it and focus on how it looks on mobile and continue with my life.

The lack of art does make it feel empty but if I got art for every single character then the ROs wouldn't feel "special" so it is what it is.

I want the players to unlock more character stories as they progress through the game so I have in mind which one I want for first and last (for some characters not all) but the middle still needs work. Oops.

In terms of chapter 3, I hit a brick wall. I don't want to spoil a lot but essentially MC can go 2 routes in this chapter, 1 where MC can run into all ROs except one and another where MC can talk to 2 ROs + Eadred/Eadith. The different routes are beating me up right now but we will be okay!

Goals for next week:

• Dive deeper into the layout for Chapter 3 so it doesn't beat me up

• Code a character profile and see what it looks like and what else I need to do

• Figure out what I want to write for the character stories of the ROs
