I hope you guys don't get the impression that I dislike discourse in the comments. I love reading about everyone's opinions and thoughts! However when I saw that some of you seemed to get the impression that Sooch was naive/clueless about sex, rather than a guy whose views of sex (and related vocabulary) are shaped by hetero cultural norms, I wanted to step in and clear that up. I was v overstimulated last week and went on quite the rant 😂 Thank you for saying such nice things last week.

Dialogue is SO HARD sometimes. It's hard with comics because you don't want to write paragraphs but there so many things you wish you could say to get a character's thoughts across clearly, but you just can't include it all. I spent way too long on this page I'm disgusted. Might tweak eventually.

The 2nd tier reward will be posted today. After spending literal hours sweating over this dialogue I just had to put the computer down.

Also, sometimes the comments you guys leave are insightful. Of course Sooch knows they've been sexually active. Of course he knows they just had oral sex. However, in my circles when I was young, in a hetero context, touching and oral were just "sex acts" and were considered "lesser" than penetrative sex. And the word "sex" on its own always explicitly meant penetrative sex. Sooch's thoughts reflect this. Not sure if the discourse I saw in the comments in the last page was reflective of different social/regional cultures or a cultural shift that I wasn't aware of. Many of you were left with the impression that Sooch didn't realize that they were having sex or that he thought penetration was the only form of sex 😵

And the discourse is why I stress so much about dialogue to try to make my character's thoughts crystal clear 😭

(Ya'll it's just very minor friction burn, Sooch applied downward pressure while Howie was grinding on him which increased the friction, and they weren't very sweaty and there was no lube in play... Although maybe this is something that those of us with dry sensitive skin are more likely to experience 🤷‍♀️)
