Out for vacation - Update on things to come when I'm back!

Hello friends!

I'm just 5 hours away from boarding a plane! I've uploaded some models from the movie Legend. You can now download them from Dropbox and the MMF user groups. A few, such as Blix (Goblin), the Pixie, and the Princess, are yet to be uploaded (They need a slight revision).

I've also been working on the Demonic/Undead Queen model, as she's the clear favorite in this month's release poll. Once I return, I'll complete her and any other models that receive the most votes by that time (I'm back on day 29th).

For those of you who've been with me for about three years, you might recall a time when I was without internet access. Yes, I'm heading back to the King's trail! Just like before, I won't have any internet or connection to the outside world. But rest assured, I'll return recharged and more enthusiastic than ever to dive back into sculpting!

On another note, I recently introduced new tier options. If you have a preference for either Sci-fi or Fantasy, these tiers will be particularly beneficial. I encourage you to post your suggestions while I'm away (For September). They'll be the first thing I check once I'm reconnected, and I'll use them to create separate polls for Fantasy and Sci-fi. I'm very excited about this!

When I return, I'll prioritize reading and responding to all your messages sent during my absence. I appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter. I'll have access to Discord for another day or so until I venture deep into the tundra and lose internet connectivity. So, feel free to reach out to me there today and tomorrow morning.

Though I haven't left yet, I'm already eager to return! I believe this new tier system will bring much fun, ensuring a diverse range of models each month.

August Poll - Thank you! - Decision made

Hey everyone, 

First off, thank you deeply for your support and kind words on my last post. Your feedback and understanding have been genuinely incredible, and they've had a profound effect on me. I feel as if my strength is renewed just by reading your comments, so thank you for that.

As I mentioned yesterday, today I'm launching the August poll for this month's model set. This month's process remains unchanged. Also, regarding the future, specifically September, based on your feedback, I've decided to make a shift that I think will be a positive one and satisfy everyone. Instead of two models a month as I originally planned, I aim to release four: two for a new $2 fantasy tier and two for a second new sci-fi/modern tier. This will cater to those who have preferences between sci-fi and fantasy, and ensures variety for those who want both in a $4 tier that combines both sets. Now that I'll have more time for the models and experience less burnout at the end of every work cycle, this will improve the quality of the models.

We'll continue with our polls to gather your suggestions, ensuring your voice shapes the creations, just as it has since we started. This approach also enables supporters to stay interested. In the past, I think people might have felt discouraged when their desired sci-fi or fantasy suggestions didn't make the cut. And for those wanting both themes, the $4 tier will provide access to all four models, as it does currently. I'll will also be adjusting the merchant tier, I'm still thinking on how to do it.

I'll be updating both Tribes and Patreon descriptions to reflect these changes soon, aiming for implementation before they materialize in September.

Enough said! Time to vote on this month's miniatures. I plan to release them by the 17th. If there's any delay, I'll share what's ready and complete the rest upon my return. Quality is paramount so I won't compromise by rushing them.

Update + Turning point

Hey guys!

I apologize for the late update. It's been a tumultuous month due to personal matters, not to mention my tablet deciding to give up on me after 9 years. Not too bad a lifespan, I guess! I've spent numerous days without making any progress, waiting for a replacement to arrive from Germany. My plan now is to catch up with work before I go on vacation on the 17th (I now wish I hadn't took the tickets so early).

Regrettably, I've yet to finish some of the models from July. I'll be launching a poll with your suggestions tomorrow for September. The goal is to finalize it as quickly as possible, allowing me to pour my effort into these models over the coming days.

I've also been reflecting on the direction of both Tribes and Patreon from November on. I'm balancing a lot of work outside of these platforms, yet nothing compares to the joy I find in crafting these models. I'm not naturally inclined toward the management/marketing aspect—it doesn't come easily to me. However, I truly love the modelling part, especially when I receive your feedback. If it weren't for your comments, I doubt I'd have continued this far.

I've been contemplating a slower pace, maybe creating just a couple of models a month (fantasy + sci-fi), removing all the tiers, and starting over with two $1 tiers and a $2 tier. In addition, I'm considering reducing the price for the seller tiers. This approach would afford me more time to devote to each of the two models, enabling me to infuse them with insane detail, and to also improve my skills. It would give me some breathing space to work outside of Patreon and Tribes, which could help me better weather unexpected situations, like my recent tablet mishap.

Please share your thoughts, I truly value your support. I'm convinced that focusing on enhancing the quality of my models, rather than producing them in high quantities, will be more beneficial. Giving up on this journey, which has brought me immense joy and connected me with the 3D printing community, isn't an option. I appreciate you all and hope that my thoughts are clear to you.

While I finish the models from July, I've shared with you the last model I did before my tablet died (Super girl - Woman of Tomorrow), the fox treasure hunter, and the set from July 2022 for everyone that suscribed to July and August. Again, thank you!

June 2023 Release is live! + Updates on things

The theme for July is Characters from Legend!

So, I'll get my hands working on those right now, as I've just rewatch the movie last night to get in the zone. I am also working, aside from Patreon and Tribes, on some miniatures and I think I'll be able to share with you if I manage to convince the commissioner. I haven't mentioned  to him yet, as I've just started to think about it for a couple of days now. He wants it for personal use and maybe he will agree that I share it for free with my community. I'll keep you updated on that as well (It is a Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow statue).

As for August, I think it would be cool to switch to the miniature requests system just for a month, then go back to themes for another three months and so on. This way, there's a time when we can get those somewhat "random in a way" miniatures that I know some of you like. So feel free to share those miniature requests ideas on Discord whenever you want, I'll be adding them to the list for us to vote during July.

May release is up! - June theme - Various updates!

Hey friends!

By now, you should have access to the May release on MMF user groups if you support me on Patreon, and in your Library if you support me on Tribes! If that's not the case, please send me a message so I can extend an invitation. Manually managing the MMF user groups sometimes results in missed individuals. If you don't have MMF, don't worry— Here's the usual dropbox link to the files as well!

Regarding the presupported files, my plan is to provide these tomorrow. I'll also be uploading the Yuan Ti mercenary to the set from April.

As for June's theme, it will be Royal Palace NPC. This decision has been guided by the ongoing poll that I launched last month (Pinned post), where the top voted themes would inform the upcoming themes for May, June, and July. I encourage all of you to share your ideas for this theme specifically on Discord. I'm open to any of your suggestions, as I'm still determining the direction I'll take with the design. One idea I've been contemplating is the Captain of the Royal Guard, a classic figure. Once I've completed that model, I'll eagerly explore your Discord suggestions for the remaining six models in the set.

I anticipate having the June set available between the 15th and 20th at the latest, which should afford me the last ten days of the month to work on the annual requests on my list. So, fingers crossed, you should see some of those rolling out this month as well.

If there's anything you'd like to ask me, my DMs are always open! I strive to stay on top of all messages. Now, it's time to put my hands to work sculpting! I look forward to talking with you soon. I had some trouble! - News update on May set (Launches Friday)

Hey there friends! 

First off, I must express my sincere apologies for responding to you this late in the month. Unfortunately, I'm still working on completing the May set. I'm striving to deliver a unique appeal to each model and it's taken me quite a bit of time to decide on the perfect direction for each. However, the silver lining is that I'm almost at the finish line, needing just a few more days to complete everything before I'm ready to roll them out.

The bright side is that knowing in advance what the June models are going to be will give me a head start in my preparations, allowing me to release them by mid-June. So, in summary, the May release will drop in a couple of days (this coming Friday, potentially without support initially until I've had the opportunity to test the presupported files over the weekend). The June release, thanks to my advanced planning, will roll out a bit sooner than previous months. Rest assured, I'll be working tirelessly to have them ready by mid-June, but without rushing and compromising the quality.

With regards to the design, I'll aim to be less indecisive, but no promises it'll be easier than the 1800s monster hunters. Those were a real challenge but an absolute blast to research. I assure you, it's been tough, but the result should be something you appreciate, laden with intricate details and care, much like the April adventurer, if you remember that miniature.

As a token of my apologies for the delay, I'll be sharing all other May releases with you this month as well. Should you already have them in your collection, just drop me a message and I'll be more than happy to offer a model of your choice from the entire collection.

Once again, I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience caused and I can't thank you enough for your unwavering support. Let's touch base this Friday when I make the official announcement for June as well.

I trust this message finds you well and eager for some exciting updates!

Firstly, the results from our recent poll are in, and we have a winner for the theme of May's STL miniatures - it's Monster Hunters from the 1800s! I've already begun working on this thrilling theme. The blend of history and fantasy promises to deliver some truly unique models. Imagine fearless hunters, antique weaponry, and trophies from otherworldly monsters - it's been quite an adventure creating these!

Your image references from Discord and your theme suggestions have been incredibly inspiring. I've managed to incorporate already some of these into the models I'm currently sculpting, so please, continue to share your ideas on there! I've also added some references of my own by taking some inspiration from one of my all time favorites, Bloodborne.

Now, let's talk about future plans. As some of you might have noticed, the poll for May is still open. I made the decision to keep it this way based on your feedback so that you can use it to vote for upcoming themes. Here's the exciting part - the second and third most voted themes will automatically become our themes for June and July! So, if you haven't voted yet or have some new theme ideas, make sure to participate.

I'll continue to keep you posted on the progress of the 1800s Monster Hunters, and I eagerly anticipate revealing how they're evolving.

May, June & July Poll - Themes are back!

Hello friends!

I'm excited to announce that we are choosing May, June and July themes! Instead of individual miniatures, as I mentioned a couple of times in the last posts, we're trying out something new (old for older patrons). Poll will remain open until July.

That is, we are going to choose a theme instead of individual suggestions. The most voted theme will become May theme and so on. From then on, you can request any miniature you want on Discord (or in the comments), and if it fits the criteria of the theme, I'll be more than happy to work on it! Here are the themes that you have suggested plus some more that I thought would be cool to work on as well:

For the Nazgul miniature, looking at some references online, I couldn't resist deciding to create two versions! One will be more vintage and reminiscent of the books, while the other will be more inspired by the film adaptation.

In addition, I will be including printable bases in the welcome pack, which will feature some of the most common themes in various sizes. This way, you will have a base to go with for most of the miniatures that have been released over the years. If you have any suggestions for the base themes, feel free to leave them on Discord!

As a side line note, I'll be working on a little surprise (not so little) for the upcoming months. I'm not really sure how much will it take me to complete, but if you are a Hero Quest enthusiast, I'm sure that it will make your day when I share it with you! Voting for January! + Welcome pack update for 2023

Merry Christmas friends!

I've collected all your suggestions for 2023 January release on Discord. Now it's time to vote on them.

The top seven miniatures will turn into January month's release!  During January I will also include to the November release the extra space clown. I'll keep you updated on that as well on Discord.

For the start of the upcoming new year we will have an update on the Welcome pack. I'll be including a bunch of the most popular miniatures to it.

Among this minis I'll be also adding a couple of special miniatures that aren't listed on MMF or anywhere else. The first one, you may have already seen it on my socials, that is the Zoat miniature. As for the second one, I've my fingers crossed, just because I don't know yet if I'll be able to publish it now or later on. Either way it looks super cool and I think you will like it a lot! It is a couple of fantasy characters ready to fight, all I can say for now!
