Small Content Update Coming Soon!

Hey everyone!

It's been almost a week now since House Chores v1.0 released! Thank you all for such an eventful week. I was blown away by all of your support and I'm so glad you all have enjoyed the game!

I wanted to give you all an update on a couple of things-

== Content Update - v1.1 ==

I'm working on a small update coming soon. v1.1 will add a few new interactions to previously existing content.

I want to stress, there will be no NEW art in this update. But I think this update will improve some moments just a little more.

I'm going to stay tight-lipped on this update until it's ready to drop. I plan to release it sometime next month so stay tuned!

== Bug Fixes ==

Emily's Tease Scene...

A bunch of people have reported this one to me and a proper fix is ready to go with the next update!

When selecting the "More <3" option, the game is supposed to transition into the 'homerun' scene. Currently, it fades to black, replays the previous menu and then goes to the scene. So you aren't actually missing any content when viewing this event. Sorry for the troubles here.

There were some other small bugs reported my way. I'll have a fix for those bugs too in v1.1!

== Next Game ==

The next game project is in development although it is very early. Artwork for House Chores was being created right up until release. So this new project has only just begun.

But, I will share some early details about it!

This new game will take place in the House Chores 'universe' and will center around just two characters and their story for a weekend.

I want to lean into the Visual Novel style a little more so this will be a more condensed story with some branching paths along the way.

I can't wait to share more of this project with you all soon!

v1.0.2 | Bug Fixes

Another day, another round of bug fixes. In case you missed it, House Chores v1.0 released yesterday over on the HC itch page: Link 

v1.0.2 fixes a few important bugs

• Linda's Bend Scene should now function properly. After seeing the Linda/Julie pool scene, 'admiring' Linda should end a little differently than before

• Emily's tease scene has been adjusted again. It should work this time... If it's still loading as a black screen for those on Low Quality mode, let me know and I'll make further adjustments*

• Sometimes the mouse cursor doesn't show up when starting the game. I made some small adjustments that I hope reduces the frequency of this issue. I'll be continuing to monitor how often it's happening to players.

*March 17 Update: The Android version has been updated to v1.0.2.1. The Emily tease scene was giving a loading issue before, this should be fixed now.

However, the 'black screen bug' is still occurring in this build. I finally figured out what was going wrong. I was misunderstanding the issue players were actually reporting. (I was trying to fix a bug that didn't exist...)

Needless to say, I have a proper fix ready and I plan to release 1.0.3 in the near future to fix this scene!

v1.0.1 | Bug Fixes

Thank you all so much for your support with the release of House Chores v1.0! In case you missed it, the update went live earlier today: Link 

There were a couple of issues reported my way so I updated the game to v1.0.1.  This update fixes two notable problems:

- Emily's tease scene should work properly on Low Quality mode now*

- Linda's secret feather duster will now properly show up when you meet the requirements (viewing Linda/Julie's pool scene)

*UPDATE: Looks like Emily's scene is still causing some issues. I'll be making more adjustments and will fix the scene in an update coming sometime over this next week. Sorry for the trouble!

This update includes a new extension to Linda & Emily's storyline! After the events of the previous update, talking to Emily will now push their relationship even further!

After viewing the new scene & experiencing the Linda & Julie scene, a special event will occur somewhere in the house! This special event is sure to make you faint with excitement!

To celebrate the v1.0 release, a special Maid outfit is available for Linda. Once you've viewed the Linda & Julie pool scene, a secret feather duster will be hidden somewhere in the house. After finding it, Linda will be able to change into "Maid Mode!" during the Morning time slot.

Additionally, a few new interactions and various features were added. I suggest checking out the changelog to see what all is new!

Release Date Target | Saturday!

Hey everyone!

Time to share a more accurate release date for House Chores v1.0!

I am currently aiming for the release to be next Saturday, March 15th! (Mar 16th for some time zones)

All of the art is wrapping up completion, but I do still have a lot to do on the development side of things. While I feel confident with this release date, should I need some additional time, I will make an announcement next week. But right now, everything's looking good for the 15th!

As a reminder, this v1.0 update will only be available on the House Chores itch page [Link] and will require a one-time payment of $8. On release day, $5+ House Chores Patrons will be able to receive a download link if they connect their itch account to their Patreon account and this will be available for at least 1 month. If you want the game at a discount, I recommend going through the Patreon route!

Here's a little sneak peek at another new NSFW scene coming in the v1.0 release of House Chores!

The Linda Cleaning CG is really sort of the start of the whole game. In fact, it's what originally inspired creating this game in the first place. So ending back where things began felt like an appropriate way to conclude this update's new content!

The fun part is that this scene also has support for each of Linda's outfits so you'll be able to view it in whichever style you prefer her to wear!

February Progress Report

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share one last general update before the actual release of House Chores v1.0 is ready to go!

== v1.0 Progress ==

Progress on the update is going very well! Most of the art is complete and development has been going quite well too. I've been splitting my time between new content while also going back and adding some improvements or small changes to older moments in the game.

In total, there are 3 new full NSFW scenes that I hope add a satisfying conclusion to different storylines/aspects of the game.

Keep in mind, even though this is the v1.0 update, I still have plans to release an epilogue update at a later time. I'd like to explore the house a little more after the final scene's events, so another update feels like it'll be a necessity!

== Release Window ==

I was hoping to squeeze v1.0's release date into February but I knew that might be pushing it a little.

However, March still feels like a very realistic goal and so I anticipate the game should be ready to launch within about a month from now! Early or Mid-March is when you should be able to expect the release!

I will update you all with an official release date announcement in the next couple of weeks once the art is fully completed!

== Pricing & Discounts ==

As a reminder for the pricing, v1.0 will launch over on the House Chores itch page for a one-time $8 purchase. After buying it, future updates will be free so long as you re-download through the same account.

For a limited time, $5+ HC Patrons will be able to download the v1.0 update on itch if they link their itch account to their Patreon account. This way, you can get the game at a discounted price! This deal will go live the same day the update releases.

== Setting Expectations ==

I do have one concern that I wanted to address here.

I've seen a few comments asking about pregnancy content. If you're unaware from my previous titles, I'm not a big fan of pregnancy content (I don't mind impregnation, however) so I typically don't include it in my games. That doesn't mean it won't ever happen but do not expect it in this v1.0 update.

An important reason for that is because I do have plans to continue the stories for these characters in the future! The epilogue update should hint at those plans ;)

(Maybe the pregnancy comments were a ruse to get me to leak my future ideas...?)

It's pretty surreal to finally be at this moment where everything comes together! Picking a 'finale' scene was a bit tricky initially. But I wanted everything to loop back to the character who started this entire story so Linda is at the center of the 'attention' in this scene.

For those who want to see all 3 girls receive equal attention, I'd like to remind you about the Epilogue update that I plan on releasing later this year! The scene that I have in mind for that update should allow for some more options if you catch my drift ;)

January Progress Report | Chugging Along!

Hey everyone!

I wanted to talk about the current progress of the next House Chores update as well as a small announcement!

== v1.0 Progress ==

Progress on the update is going along great! Most of the new scenes are finished so things are starting to approach that wrap up phase.

There are still a couple of smaller things that need completed, and I don't want to underestimate how long that will take so a solid release date still feels a little too early.

If things proceed faster than anticipated, I could see late February maaaybe being possible. But realistically, I think March is much more likely. I'll keep you updated as we get closer!

== Epilogue Update ==

I'll just go ahead and spill the beans already. House Chores - v1.0 is actually not the 'final' update that I have planned for the game! [dramatic gasp]

In the v1.0 update, the final scene is designed in a way that I felt was fitting for the story. But I also understand that some people might prefer a little more variation to the characters that they can interact with (if you catch my drift). The Epilogue update will include an additional scene that should help satisfy those who want a little more.

And additionally, the epilogue will help serve to bridge the gap a little more to the next major project I have in mind.

The Epilogue Update will release sometime after v1.0 releases! I'd anticipate sometime around this summer!

== What's Next ==

I briefly mentioned this in the past but in case you weren't aware, I do plan to continue the House Chores storyline with these 3 lovely ladies!  So, for those who are sad about their stories coming to a close, you shouldn't be!

However, I would like to work on a new short story game featuring new characters first so there will likely be a short detour. I'll go into details a bit more after the release of v1.0 since a lot of this is still being figured out.

Milf Showdown 2024 | Teasers Soon!

Quick announcement today that the Milf Showdown 2024 tournament has begun!

== Milf Showdown 2024 ==

This is a fan-run tournament over on the Siren's Domain Discord channel (requires a $1+ pledge) that matches up all characters from each of my games in a contest to find the most popular one!

The winner of the women's bracket will receive a special outfit and NSFW scene in the future! Last year, Linda from House Chores was the winner which is why she received that ancient Valencian outfit earlier this summer. Repeat winners are allowed by the way ;)

Voting for the women's bracket rounds will begin tonight so be sure to hop on over to the Discord and vote for your favorites!

== December Plans ==

Expect some patron-exclusive teasers this month as work continues on the next update for House Chores!

Work on the update started in reverse order with the 'main' scene being completed first. I'd like to wait to show a teaser of that scene until the other planned content has been teased so there might be a small gap while the other content is completed. Up next, I'll share a better look at Linda's bonus maid outfit!

House Chores v1.0 | First Look Update

Hey everyone!

The 'final' release of House Chores is currently in development, so I wanted to take some time to talk about my plans for this v1.0 release!

== V1.0 Content ==

Version 1.0 of House Chores will wrap up the House Chores story with one last event featuring all 3 of the HC ladies!

Additionally, I'm looking to sneak in a little extra content & interactions if time permits so I don't actually know what the final count of new scenes will be. But I'll be sharing teasers of this new content as the final update continues to progress!

I do want to temper expectations, however. While I do want to include more scenes than usual, don't expect that number to be wildly larger than regular updates.

== Bonus 'Maid' Content ==

One of my priorities is to make sure that the value of House Chores feels worth the purchase. So as a bonus, I'm including a bonus Maid outfit for Linda! This bonus costume will feature its own scene with her and provide some extra content to enjoy!

== Revisiting Linda & Emily ==

In the previous update, I read a few reactions to the Linda & Emily scene and in general, I think the scene wound up being underwhelming for players. So, for v1.0, I want to include an additional scene for Linda & Emily that I think will be a more satisfying conclusion to their duo story.

However, this wasn't originally planned, so this will extend development time a little bit.

== Release Window & Price ==

There's still a bit of content that I want to add so it's pretty early for a release date. But I don't want to have development for 1.0 stretch terribly long either.

January/February is going to be my broad goal! The sooner the better, but I also want to make sure the v1.0 update feels complete.

The final version of House Chores will be sold at a price. I plan to sell House Chores for $8.  For a short time, $5+ HC Patrons will be able to link their accounts to itch and retrieve the game as a special offer. Stay tuned for more details about that.

Beta 0.20 will include the finale of Emily & Linda's combined storyline! After the events of the last few updates, tensions have been high between these two and in Valencia Springs, that's a recipe for some wild and exciting moments!

Final Roadmap Update | Beta 0.19 Releasing Tomorrow!

Hey everyone!

I've been doing a lot of planning over the past few weeks for the conclusion of House Chores as well as what's to come next. I wanted to also share these plans so you all can know what to expect as these last few updates roll out!

== Beta 0.19 ==

The Milf Showdown update for Linda is still planned to release tomorrow for $5+ Patrons!

One final reminder, this is a very short update celebrating her win in the previous tournament. I hope you all enjoy this scene as it departs from the usual setting in House Chores by quite a bit!

== Beta 0.20 ==

Next up will be an update focused on Linda & Emily's combined storyline. Their previous story updates left on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I think it's time we see what happens next ;)

This update will be out in roughly 2/3 months if everything stays on schedule! The artist is currently working on this content now and progress has been moving along very well!

== Final Update ==

After Beta 0.20 releases, I plan to release one final update! However, I would like to pack a little more content into this update compared to usual. Depending on how much content that actually ends up being, this update could possibly be split up into two in order to minimize wait times.

The final update will also be paid only. I'll announce the details on the pricing as well as possible discounts for Patrons as we get closer to this release!

It's a bit far out still, but my goal is to release this update in the winter season, probably in January or February.

== Next Project ==

I've been spending an increasing amount of time thinking about what's next after House Chores. These plans have changed a bunch throughout the last year or so. But at this point, I'm pretty confident I've narrowed down the next game.

I want to build out some of the relationships of others nearby in the House Chores neighborhood. This new project will be a short story featuring a new pair of characters and their growing relationship!

I plan to keep the visual novel style that House Chores has while condensing the story a bit to feel a little less sandboxy. I think this will help the story stay focused while making development more efficient. My hopes are to complete this project within 8-12 months. Like how long House Chores was originally supposed to be (lol)

These plans are all still very early and so things may change still. But at this point I'm feeling pretty certain that this will be the next project!

Wanted to share a few updates today, starting with the release of the next House Chores update!

== Release Window ==

I'm aiming to release the new House Chores - Beta 0.19 update this Friday, August 23rd for all $5+ HC Patrons! The public/free release will be 3 days later (Mon, Aug 26th)!

After Beta 0.19 releases, the main story will continue and will be completed in a few more updates!

Keep in mind, this number might change. But at the moment, I think there are only two updates remaining after Beta 0.19!

At this point in House Chores' development, Linda has so many different positions that it was actually a bit tricky figuring out just the right one. But I think this one turned out really well and helps expand Linda's ever growing expertise ;)

Progress Report | August Release

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to share some updates about the progress of the new House Chores update!

== Release Window ==

Originally, I wasn't sure if this update would be completed in time for the end of July but it looks like things need just a little more time for all of the art to come together.

So I'll be releasing this special update next month, in August! I'm not sure yet if it will be early/mid/late August, but the art content is quite far along so I'll have a better idea soon.

I'll keep you all updated when that release window gets a little closer!

'Classic' Linda (Full Outfit Reveal)

Hey Patrons!

To celebrate Linda winning the 2023 Milf Showdown competition, I wanted to give her a special outfit and location!

A classic Valencian-inspired outfit was the direction I wanted to go with for this event. Additionally, similar to previous events, I wanted to go with a reskinned background to help make it more immersive. It's actually supposed to be a reskinned version of the backyard but I think the artist and I got a little carried away with this one! Either way, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

HC - Beta 0.19 + Beta 0.20 | Roadmap

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to share some news about the next two updates planned for House Chores!

== Beta 0.19 ==

Next up is update Beta 0.19 which will feature a special short event for Linda! For winning the previous Milf Showdown competition, I like to celebrate with a unique outfit and NSFW scene.

This particular event will include a heavily modified background, similar to the Winter & Spring events. Because of this, the update does still need a bit more time to develop.

Stay tuned for an official reveal of her new outfit soon! I'll probably do a separate reveal for $1+ Patrons that features a full uncensored look at her design too!

== Beta 0.20 ==

I know a lot of people have been eager to see more of Emily's story and the continuation of events from the previous update. I wanted to share this roadmap to let you all see that you shouldn't have to wait too long. After 0.19 is complete, the main storyline will pick back up with new events for Linda & Emily!

Emily's solo story comes to an exciting conclusion in this update as she gains some new night time interactions!

In order to experience the new content, you'll need to have progressed far enough through Emily's story (viewed the couch NSFW scene). From there, talking to her should naturally continue to the new events!

With only a few more updates (currently) planned, the stage is all set for an exciting finale for House Chores! However, I do want to make a quick pit stop to make sure a certain... champion, receives her reward! Stay tuned for a first look at Beta 0.19 coming soon!
