Hey all,
It's been a little while since I've been able to say this, but it was a really good week! With a lot of the heavy lifting already done for S5, it's been much easier to focus on the actual scene. It's still been a learning experience, with more than a few reshoots along the way... As I mentioned this is kind of the first time working on scenes like this, but it's been a lot of fun. I'm still trying to figure out what works best, but so far I'm really happy with how it's turning out.
For those who saw mention of a poll in my recent Subscriber post, it was going to be heavily related to this particular issue. But I think I've decided to just try different styles for different scenes and see what works best.
I'm tempted to be less vague since I'm sure that most of you were able to piece some of the clues from previous chapters together, but still, since Patreon doesn't have a spoiler text feature, I'd rather avoid discussing spoilers in a public forum like this, just to be safe. If people pester me in the discord's spoiler chat, then I may disclose a little more over there.
I've only been working on S5 this week and didn't want to risk splitting my attention with any other scenes so there isn't much else to report.

Hey all,
I dove back into s5 this week, and although it was a pain, I got a lot of the heavy lifting done to make the scene crafting much quicker. To clarify, this is a scene that needs a lot of background characters that would usually slow down my PC a lot. In the end, I didn't have any other options besides making a ton of customized character cutouts and trying to match the lighting and angles so that I didn't have dozens of actual characters on screen at once. The results turned out pretty damn good, especially since you'll surely be too distracted by the action to notice/care about any possible flaws in the backgrounds.
Sadly, creating all those custom cutouts took a long ass time. I've only ever done it once before and that was as a test for a single character. It's not all that complicated of a process, but I had to plan ahead for whatever the scene's main focus would require. Still, I'm happy with the results so far and now I should (mostly) only need to worry about the complicated custom poses I need for the main cast.

It's been a long week so I'll try to keep things short. I've been smashing my head against the wall for half the week trying to figure out how to write/shoot S5. I've had to rethink the scene several times trying to make things work properly. Without spoiling anything, it's the first time I've made a scene like this, and it's been very tough to figure out.
I know it'll click eventually, or I'll have no choice but to brute force my way through it. One way or another I'll get it done when the time comes. I eventually decided it wasn't worth wasting any more time on right now and moved on to S6. I hope a little time away from the problem will help me get past the block.
S6 wasn't fully fleshed out yet, so I had to dive into scripting it immediately to keep ahead of the renders. In doing so I ended up changing it a lot from what it was originally, but I'm happy with how it's turning out so far and, goddess be praised, there hasn't been a single issue with rendering or scripting it so far.
It's been a rough week and things just keep getting scarier out there so I hope everyone stays safe.

Another week flew by at 4x the desired speed and I have another report of mostly uninteresting updates for you. Honestly, It feels like last Monday was only 3 days ago, it's so frustrating but there's no point in complaining about it. On to the report...
A lot of my week was spent trying to fill in any missing pieces in S4, finishing one part of S5 before creating a new set, and then weighing my options on how best to shoot it. It's another densely populated set and while the crowds will be unavoidable at times, I'm trying to be strategic about it to cut back on the time required to finish the scene. Thankfully, this is the last difficult scene before I get to move on to the much less demanding adult scenes.
I'm sure most of you will be happy to hear that I plan to release this chapter in two halves. As usual, I'm nowhere near as fast of a developer as I wish I could be and it would take far too long to make a full chapter release at this point.
I also hope to have some kind of gallery working in the next update but I'm definitely not going to promise that just yet as I had something unnecessarily complicated planned and knowing me it will take at least 10 failed attempts to land on something that actually works.
Finally, I was working on a small Miranda post for subs last week (SFW & NSFW versions) and I failed to finish it in time. Instead, it's becoming a big Miranda post for this week. I'm doubling up the amount of renders and adding some Variety renders for some extra fun.

It was another decent week, but not too much to report so I'll try to keep things a little more brief than last week's report. I'm still juggling some scenes around and updating the report as I go. So, if you're confused about why it's been showing different numbers for the past 3 weeks, that's why.
As a counterbalance to adding a small scene recently, I was able to cut a lot of fat from some of the scenes I'm working on. In hindsight, those scenes were redundant anyway so it's better for the pacing and it gets us much closer to the finish line. Win-win. That's also why the script seems to have remained stationary this week.
There's not much else I can think of that's worth reporting, so I'll leave it here.

It was an excellent week of development and I can't tell you how happy I am with my progress. The numbers still aren't groundbreaking, but when you're dealing with large scenes and a lot of characters, things just take time. Sometimes being able to maintain momentum is all you can hope for.
As for the actual progress, I'm sure that most of you could tell that S4 was turning out to be pretty hefty. It was another one of those "scenes" that was actually like 8 small-medium scenes (including alternate paths) mashed together into a single metric for the sake of a cleaner report. Of course, then I was inspired to upgrade a nameless character with 3 lines into someone of more significance thus making what was supposed to be a brief chat into a whole new plot thread... Unfortunately or not, sometimes when an interesting idea pops into my head, I have no choice but to follow through with it. Especially when it weaves a better narrative.
Anyway, I'm getting off-topic. The moral of the story is that I decided to update the progress report after all and it should more accurately convey the size of the chapter and my progress.
The script was worked on pretty heavily this week as well. Most of that work was spent turning my rough notes into a proper script. I had hit a pretty severe writer's block over the last few weeks with how busy everything was and I struggled to write anything more than basic notes and patchy dialogue. Thankfully, I think giving my brain some time off over the holidays was just what I needed to refresh myself. Things just started flowing smoothly again when I loaded up my script and that's always a good feeling.

I originally wanted to wait to post this poll until after the decision made a difference. However, I thought that it might also be interesting to see what people chose before any storytelling choices potentially influenced the results.

I won't lie, I didn't spend much time working this week. Between my Christmas stuff and family gatherings, I decided that I needed a few real days off. It's been ages since I've taken more than a single day off at a time, and frankly, it was really nice to veg out for a few days and not worry about anything! Of course, I was stressing the whole time but I made sure to get lost in a game for a few days so that I could unwind a little before diving back into work mode for another long year.

I'm sorry, but between the end-of-the-year work rush and all the last-minute Christmas prep I had left to do, I just didn't have time to do much of anything this week. I imagine that a lot of you can probably relate. I did get the Christmas render finished and I'll be releasing that tomorrow (HD for all tiers and 4K for silver+ tiers).
Thankfully, my winter break is here, and apart from a few days of family stuff, I should be able to get some actual work done.

I don't really have much to report this week. Sorry that the numbers aren't better, but it's been busy at work with the end-of-year rush, and I've been a little burnt out this week. Thankfully, winter break is close and I'll be able to make up at least some of the lost progress from the past few months.
I started working on a subscriber post last night but fell asleep waiting for the 4k to render. I'll run the 4k NSFW version tonight, then I'll be able to post them for silver/gold subscribers tomorrow evening.

I've been working on one of the 3-way-split scenes for the past couple of weeks and it might surprise you to know that it finally involves the player's weapon choices. Two of the 3 parts are finished and the third part was just started today. Surprisingly, as slow as my progress may seem, I'm having so much fun making this chapter so far. All the new locations, the new events, the new characters... It's all so exciting to work on. I can't wait until my job slows down a little so that I can really dig my teeth into this project again.
Regarding the script reviews I spoke about a couple of weeks ago, I'm still working on all the finer details, but it seems like I won't have to change anything on the progress report. I rearranged some scenes and combined others, but everything seems to have worked out so there are still 10 scenes. The titles are likely to change over time, as some already have, but at least the main report structure can stay the same for now.

Believe it or not, it's been a good dev week. The numbers aren't crazy, but it isn't easy to turn out big numbers when you're working with so many characters on screen at one time. That being said, I feel like some of the scenes in chapter 5 are turning out to be among my favorites so far.
Even though I had to dish out a pretty penny to replace my GPU a couple of months back, it probably couldn't have happened at a better time. It's been outstanding in helping me get closer to achieving the visuals that I imagined when planning this story. As the numbers show, it still takes a long time for me to get stuff done, but at least it's for completely different reasons now. I've said it before, but my PC used to struggle with rendering more than 2 characters at once. However, now If I plan it out properly, I can sometimes fit 8-10 characters in a scene with minimal issues. Although, the problem then becomes posing 8-10 characters for every render haha.
I'm really happy that the world is going to feel so much bigger once this chapter is complete. I know it takes me a long time, but with this chapter more than any other, I have a feeling it's going to be worth it!

Today's poll is exactly as the title suggests, I need to lock in a weapon choice for Meera and I wanted to give you all a say.
I've made a render displaying the weapon choices available because not everyone is familiar with all of their names. They're numbered as well just to be safe. Also, I should point out that the weapons on display are not necessarily the exact weapons that Meera might get! Most of these are just temporary placeholders until the poll is complete. Once this is settled I can figure out the final style and make of said weapon.
I certainly have a few preferences among the group, but no matter what way the poll goes, I think any of these options could work.
Also, if it helps you in choosing Meera's weapon, I'll list the weapons of other squad members below:
-Louisa (The older "sister") is likely going to be rocking a spear and shield combo.
-Lydia (The younger "sister") will have her bow and arrows, and double daggers or double short swords.
-Miranda has a beautiful longsword and shield combo.
-Other squad members will fill in any weaponry gaps after the main cast is settled.
Please note:
-Multiple votes are enabled.
-The poll's duration is still to be determined.
-The weapons on display are not necessarily the exact weapons that Meera will get.
If you think you have a better suggestion, comment it below! I'm genuinely curious about all serious suggestions.

Hey Homies,
It's been a hectic week of development. I spent most of the week designing and redesigning the S4 set. I went through three different versions of the scene before finally landing on something I liked and could actually render. It still takes a while because of its size and the amount of posing needed for all the characters, but I think it looks great, so hopefully, it was worth it.
I also spent a long time planning out the later scenes in more detail. The pacing for the second half of the chapter felt right before I started developing, but as things progress, it's started to feel a little too bloated. I'm still working out the details, but over the next couple of weeks, the progress report will start to look a little different as some scenes are going to merge and some are likely going to be trimmed as I refine and condense the layout of the chapter.
Also, I'm sorry for the lack of subscriber posts this week. All the spare time I had went toward designing and working on S4. I'll get some posts out this week to make up for it!

It's been a decent dev week, but I didn't finish any more animations because I wanted to keep the momentum I had from last week and try to wrap up S3. I'm very close to finishing, with just a few renders left. The scene takes place over several locations, so there's been more setup than usual, but I just finished setting up the last location and after another 5-10 renders, it should be wrapped up. Admittedly, nearly every other scene in this chapter is much larger than S3, so wrapping it up doesn't feel like a whole lot in the grand scheme, but it would still be nice to check another scene off my to-do list.
I wish I had more to report, but short reports with decent numbers are fine by me. I hope you all have a good week!
