I've been struggling to stay awake today, but I made sure to finish up some renders for you. I hope you enjoy them!
I've been on that grind this week and made significant progress with S1. By my best estimate, I've finished at least two-thirds of the scene, including the renders and the coding. It's not a massive scene, but regardless, if things continue smoothly, I may finish it this week.
As you may have noticed, this chapter is smaller than the previous one. I've spent much of the past two weeks doing my best to trim a lot of the fat from this chapter to get it down to a much more manageable size. It's still a little beefy in certain (most) areas, however, I'm sure that progress will be much faster this time, and hopefully, that beefiness will be worth the wait!

Some of you may recognize this render from just over a year ago, but I've wanted to do the gold-tier version for ages. Ideally, I would have posted them simultaneously, but it didn't feel right to render this version out until Cordelia had her time to shine in the game.
To save people from having to go hunting for the previous post, I've included that old render here as well!
Also, I promise that Cordelia will get a little break after this post and the other ladies will get a chance to shine again!
HD and 2K versions are available to download in the attachments. (I had meant to do 4k, but by the time I realized I was rendering in 2k it had already been going for an hour and I wanted to get this post out tonight.)
I don't have much to report because I spent half of the last week trying to finish/fix the patch, and the other half trying to fix my computer. To make a long story short, my motherboard died but since I'm not the most proficient with building computers, it took a lot of testing to figure out the problem. Thankfully, I was able to get the update out before this happened. I shudder to think what some people might have said if my PC broke down right before I was due to release.
Anyway, I've picked up the parts I needed, finished all my PC cleaning and rebuilding and I've been working on the update for a good portion of the weekend.
So, for the thing that most of you are here for... I'm still trying to organize the next chapter into scenes and get a better view of the scope of things, so I haven't made a new progress image yet, but still, here are the numbers for any who are curious:
Total scenes (to be completed): ~8 or 9 Renders (thus far): 25 Lines Coded/Scripted: 211
I do have another few hundred lines of rough script and several pages of notes, however, none of that is finalized or coded into Renpy yet so I've excluded them from the official numbers.
Now that my pc is back in working order, I promise I'm back on the grind! I'm genuinely looking forward to diving into the next chapter! Much love! JB

BTW... I don't have a progress report this week because I've spent the time since the update's launch worrying about the patch, which as many have noticed was causing people's games to crash. So that's still a work in progress...

I'm sorry for the lack of a progress image this week. I didn't see much of a need for it at this stage of development. So instead, here's an old -Subscribers Only- render from Mother's Day 2023! (The NSFW versions of this series were pretty spicy btw...)
Sadly, I've had another long and busy week with some of the other things in my life but still, I'm literally diving across the 'Chapter 4' finish line! The only things I have left to do are finish locking in a few music choices, fix (or ignore) a tiny pacing issue during one of the training day routes, and edit a handful of images and SFX that slipped through the cracks along the way.
This update will start rolling out within the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled for those update posts!
I'm eternally grateful for everyone's patience and I can't wait for you all to jump back into the story!
My day job has been insane this past week, but I'm getting through all the testing bit by bit. I still hope to be finished with everything this week.
I'm sorry for the lack of subscriber content this past week. Between the overtime at work and the extreme temps, whatever spare time I had, I spent working on the game or sleeping to survive the next day.
I may try to compensate by making extra posts this week, but a part of me just wants to go 100% on the game until it's finished. I suppose people can comment below if they have an opinion, one way or the other.

Testing is going smoothly for the most part. There was a minor hiccup this week, but nothing that wasn't promptly fixed.
Long story short, my 7 most recent animations had a frame rate issue. I wasted a bunch of time stressing out and attempting to re-render them before I realized I was being a moron and I simply lowered the frame rate on the existing animations. They might not be as smooth as intended anymore, but it sure beats wasting another two weeks trying to fix the problem the hard way.
Speaking of... I think it's safe to say that I should be able to wrap up this update within the next couple of weeks! Of course, there's still a strong possibility that I'll get OCD over things and spend way too much time worrying about the story's pacing, audio balancing, continuity, and a bunch of other shit I'm sure will pop up in the 11th hour. Most of which generally don't matter to most people. However, I wouldn't be giving an estimated date if I wasn't at least reasonably sure that I could meet it.
Regardless, this is likely one of the last 2 or 3 reports before I start dropping the update! Thanks for sticking around, despite my life conspiring to keep my dev workflow limited! Much love! JB

There's not a whole lot to report this week. I've just been testing as many different scene variations as time allows and refining the script wherever possible. I'm nearly finished with S7 but I still need to edit a bunch of renders and finish testing all the routes. S8 and S9 are basically finished and I'll continue testing the rest afterwards.

I had another decent week and I think I've finished all the renders and animations that I need for the completion of this chapter. At most, I might make 1 more animation, and a handful of pickup renders to fill in possible gaps during testing. I found a small section of dialogue that still needs to be filled in, hence the tiny sliver of white still remaining in the S10 meter, but apart from that, I think we're done making all the building blocks!
If everything goes perfectly... I might be able to start rolling the update out in a couple of weeks. As I've mentioned before, between testing, sound design, and the last-minute coding pass, there are still a few steps between here and the release, but we're damn close to the finish line!

There isn't a lot to report this week, but I did go pretty hard on animations. I knocked out 5 of them this week and think I only have another 2-3 left, with another 10-15 renders. After that, I'll be hopping into the testing again, and hopefully that won't take too long.
WE'RE ALMOST THERE!! I can't wait to be finished with this chapter and start rolling it out for everyone to enjoy.

I was going to start working on the images for the second winner of the previous variety poll, but it turns out that two people tied for second place!
The only way to fairly decide the next winner is to hold the vote again without the winner from the previous poll. That should help balance things out a little.
Depending on voter turnout, this may be posted tomorrow (if high votes) or next week (if votes trickle in slowly). I'm leaning toward the latter, but you can expect a post tomorrow regardless.
It wasn't as productive of a week as I would have liked regarding my render numbers, but at least I've been consistent with getting at least 2 animations done every week. There isn't much scripting left at the moment (that I know of) so those numbers won't be changing too much more from week to week.
At this point, I'm mostly just trying to get the animations and renders finished before I can start properly testing everything. The reports aren't going to be terribly interesting apart from the numbers until the inevitable release date estimates. I hesitate to give an estimate yet because I know how erratic my workflow can be and I don't want to get people's hopes up until the margin of error is too small to disappoint anyone lol.
Despite the less-than-stellar reception to the recent poll and its resulting post, I have plans to follow up that post with similarly themed pinups throughout the month. I'll either repost the poll every week so that each character has a new chance to win OR to prevent spamming the same poll over and over again, I might just use the results from the first poll.
