So I've been hammering at a new test build for the last week, and have finished Writing Anne's new content. I just finished uploading a Test Build and so long as the test builds don't break everything, I should have a full Patron Update of Superpowered 0.42.00 out by Thursday :D
Which means after the end of the month Livestream this weekend, I'll start working on version 0.43.00. From what the Current Dev Cycle Vote is currently saying, This will be the last 5 week dev cycle...at least for a while. If you haven't voted yet, please do.
What's in store for the next SP Update?
My primary focus will be adding in some new Jobs at Globex.
My Secondary focus is to add in transition scenes for when you get new shots, to give more of a Narrative for when you get a new power, and new flaws, similar to the intro when you get the first shot from Nurse Anne. ( I may not have enough time for all of these, but I will finish them when I finish Anne's unstable content and fetish content in version 0.44.00)

Putting out a new bugfix version that fixes the animation bug, along with Tilleys encourage behavior bug. I also added a more detailed hint system on character sheets, and have added a character unlock for Lisa if you get her smashed ;)

So I've been spending my weekend fixing bugs, and tweaking Loser.
Couple things of note about this release.
There are now 3 levels of difficulty with skills: Simple, Normal, Difficult
And those difficulties determine how much xp is needed per rank.
- Simple (100/200/300)
- Normal (100/200/400)
- Difficult (100/300/600)
Simple Skills: Fitness, Charisma, Video Games, Communication, Concentration, Demonstration, Trivia
Normal Skills : Almost everything else
Difficult Skills : A few specialist skills
I also did a lot of UI tweaks. The Dancing skill has been changed, and now gives a Permanant topic at Rank 1.
And I added a UI tab in options where you can scale your UI a bit, as well as toggle between Fullscreen and Windowed mode.

I've finished the Vanilla Branch with Charlie. That is to say...You can reach a monogamous sexual relationship with her. She is more or less the trainer character that sort of leads you into certain skills (sexual, seduction, and the like). But now that her Vanilla content is finished, I now have room to focus elsewhere...if you want. I could also continue to focus on Charlie. Here are the options.
Continue with the Romance path for Charlie.
Branch off down a Slut path for Charlie.
Start developing Jesse's Vanilla branch.
Start developing Karen's Vanilla branch. (Diane's Sister)

As it stands, for SP I need approximately 10-12 weeks of development to add a new character. That's the average time required to render all the scenes in all the different outfits, and write all the dialogue. That turns into about 12-15 weeks of Dev. Because I stop after 4 weeks, and start to polish a new build which takes between a week to a week and a half depending on how much difficulty I'm having with the writing at the time along with adding in the additional content. I imagine if I extended my devtime from 4 weeks to say 7...I'd possibly cut down on the time needed altogether, because I'd no longer stop dev at certain milestones in character development.
In 4 weeks I can make make:
- The base poses
- Basic Interactions
- Power Interactions
- Phone and Phone Interactions
Or
- Negative Interactions
- Corrupted Scenes
- Contact Interactions
- Poly Content
Or
- Unstable States
- Fetish Content
And then after I finish rendering all that, I usually stop and start writing/coding. With 7 weeks of Dev, I could probably fit all the content I usually make in the second installment of a character which is generally, Contact Interactions, Poly content, Corruption Scenes, and Negative Interactions. And because I wouldn't be winding down and polishing as often, I think I'd actually save some time...because writing is linear in time cost but bug hunting is not. It won't be all that much more time to bug hunt for 7 weeks of development than it is to bug hunt for 4.
In 7 weeks I think i could make:
- The base poses
- Basic Interactions
- Power Interactions
- Phone and Phone Interactions
- Contact Interactions
- Poly Content
- Negative Interactions
Or:
- Unstable States
- Fetish Content
- Corrupted Scenes
- And a good amount of other stuff not character related.
The vote I'm gonna hold is specific to my Dev Cycle. I've stuck to the last Dev Cycle vote for a year and am curious if the sentiment has changed at regarding what you, my supporters want. Here are the options:
Keep things as they are - 2 updates of SP for every one of Loser (5 weeks each)
1:1 ratio Work on SPfor 5 weeks, then work on Loser for 5 weeks.
1:1 Big updates (8week cycles). Work on Loser for 5 weeks, then work on Loser for 5 weeks.
I personally want 1:1 Big Updates. I won't do 2:1 big updates, because that defeats one of the resons why I started working on Loser to begin with. Burnout. Getting to do 2 months of Loser work after every 4 months of SP work is just too much time between projects for Loser to counter-act any amount of burnout. I also think that SP will develop faster with this model, as I won't be stopping so often to put out releases. I really want to finish building out the City and it's current residence in SP so I can get to more of the super-hero content, and building characters quicker is a good thing in my book. Also like I said earlier...I like the size of this last Loser update. And it took about 2 months to make. I'd like to keep the size of the updates the same if not bigger, and honestly...I'd like to work on Loser more often. Superpowered let's me flex my storytelling, and humor muscles, which is great! But the engine very much limits what I can do as a game designer. Not because it can't do what I want it to do, but because it takes prohibitively more work. Loser let's me flex my design muscles more, and I really enjoy making game systems in Unity.
But...it's not all about me and what I want. I am beholden to you. Your support allows me to do this for a living. I'll let you decide. All I can do is make a case for change ( which I've done) and see how you all feel. I will stick to the results of this vote for at least another year. The vote will be tabulated between Patreon and Subscribestar. This vote will last 2 weeks.

Ok...So I was so close to the next Loser update, and so far ahead of the SP update, that I decided to do a final push with Loser, and have now released 0.04.00. Hooray! There will be 2 Votes incoming. One will be about future content in Loser because Charlies (vanilla) path has been completed.
Looking back though...It was almost 2 full months of Development for Loser. And honestly...it was a good amount of content I released, and I think part of that, is because I had more time to focus on development, with out having to do a wind down and polish after 5 weeks. For the last few weeks I've been thinking about this...and I think I'm gonna hold another vote with my Patrons about the Dev cycle. It's been a year of me doing 2 SP updates for every 1 Loser update. And after looking at what was made with 2 months of development , rather than 1 month and a week of polish...I'm thinking both games could really benefit from a change in how I develop them. So I'll be starting a Vote right after posting this.
Now...On to SuperPowered...Here's where I'm at.

- Corruption Scenes (Rendered as of today)
The only thing left for me to work on for this update, is writing, and code. And adding in the additional content I have for the game from my high teir supportes. Basically getting rid of a lot of the Boilerplate content that currently exists there. ;)

Fixed a couple minor visual bugs, as well as the research buttons not working.
I also made interest tags lost from character transformations be reduced to 50xp rather than reduced to 0xp.
New banned tags from character transformations will still reduce a characters xp to 0.

After much hair pulling and code tantrums, v0.04.00 is finally finished! First off I want to thank all my peoples that helped me test. The backend work I did this go around was pain incarnate, and all the volunteer testers made it bearable :) I ended up replacing about 85% of all the buttons in the game with new and improved buttons. Which meant I had to rebuild about 60% of the scenes that were assigned to those buttons so that they worked with the new format. It was hell...but..I think the end result was worth it, or at least will be worth it. :)

They also add all associated tags to the ban list if the primary tag is listed in a characters ban. So be mindful :)

- New skilltype (Passive): Passive skills do not gain bonus xp from traits. They only xp up when Nathan is involved in another person gaining xp. (Don't try to grind...You can't...just play the game, and they will level over time.)
- Concentration: Mental focused passive skill that increases how much xp you grant for mental tags in conversations.
- Communication: Social focused passive skill that increases how much xp you grant for social tags in conversations.
- Demonstration: Physical focused passive skill that increases how much xp you grant for physical tags in conversations.

I finished rendering the smallest collection of Renders for this update this week. I'll start on Annes Negative Interactions next week. But as whole...It's progressing well. The 2nd character update is usually smaller, and quicker than the other updates, which is a benefit to me. I'm excited to get to work on developing out Globex, and adding some narrative to Billy getting his injections, and maybe a new job :o
That's about it. I've been working like a mad man, trying to get Loser out, and will keep doing so until it is out. This Loser Update will expand the game as much as the last update did me thinks. Hey all,
I've most likely turned into Gollum at this point considering how much time I've spent hunch over my keyboard. I ran into an issue that was causing serious lag within the unity inspector, and had to redesign part of the scheduler (last Loser's updated code). That wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but I had to remake every AT's schedule (again). either which way, I'm finished, and unity no longer has a 10 second delay anymore. I've also finished Charlies new AT, as well as built a sex mini-game that I'll be implimenting for all characters once you can get them knocking boots with you. I'm also almost finished with Dianes new AT. So that's good news ^_^ I'll probably have another test build out tomorrow.
This scheduler issue has put me behind a bit, and I'm giving myself until end of next week on Loser. If it takes longer than that, Then I'll begin my normal SP development, and will finish this update in my off time. While I'd prefer to only work on one game at a time, the first few weeks of SP dev are generally just rendering a lot and writing, and I'm ok with pushing the writing off a bit. I'm gonna do my best to make sure that Loser Dev doesn't take that long though. Anywho back to work. If you want to mess with the test builds, join my Discord channel and hop into the Loser-game channel. Lots of cool people testing the game. Some of them know the game better than I :P

Hey everybody. Gonna give a quick update as it's been a bit. I finished doing a lot of the refactoring work I started this update with, and have been rendering heavily for the last week and a half. As you can see from the pictures above the new AT's are progressing well :)
Progress:
New coding and refactoring: 80% Complete
Charlie's new AT: Rendered
Diane's new AT: 80% Rendered
Becky's new AT: 50% Rendered
Gina's new AT: 75% Rendered
Other Stuff: 10% Rendered 40% coded
Now that enough time has passed and I can asses what's left to do... I can say that this is more or less what's gonna be in the next update. Outside of other stuff, which will include some new features, skills, and skill actions. The new coding and refactoring section specifically refers to the new chunk of code I made at the beginning of this update cycle. I say 80% complete to cover my butt in case I need to put some more work into it after the fact.
As a side note, I'll be doing my end of the month livestream this sunday and monday, so if you're a $30 patron, be sure to get your requests in.

Just wanted to give a quick update. Update 0.41.00 has been released for SuperPowered, So I'm now switching gears and starting up Loser development. My minimum goals for this release are:

Continue streamlining, and reducing grind.
Add more independant and skill based actions.
I will be focusing on Diane, Charlie, and Richard first and foremost as they were ignored in the last update. Because of Additional Content supporters I will be garunteeing at least one AT for Gina and Becky as well. If there is time, I will add a second to AT to Becky and Gina, but I will not be garunteeing that as I am gonna put a heavy focus on independant actions/skill based actions. But first, I'm gonna spend a few days doing some under the hood work.
On other things, Tomorrow and Monday i will be doing the end of the month Stream, so if you are a $30 Supported, make sure I know your request. ^_^

Anne Professional Favors Scenes - Due to Anne's Deep Seated Unstable state, These favors may have the occasional hiccup ;) There are three favors. 1 - ask for Globex influece, 2- Get a free health check up, and 3- Arrange an emergency house call in case you get so banged up you can't get out of bed.
Updated Phone Layout - Apollom has cleaned up the look of the Phone layout when looking at characters, as well as adding some hotkeys, and new fuctionality. For one you can see how much charm you currently have from any phone profile. You call also cycle through phone contacts(either by using some new arrow buttons, or using the left and right hotkey.
New Phone Action: Browse Bookface - There's a new button when you pull out your phone that allows you to browse through peoples Bookface posts. Currently there is a boilerplate image (phone profile image) but I'll eventually make a few unique pictures for each character. What the button actually is is a faster way to spend charm. It randomly pulls characters from your phone and gives you an option to respond to thier posts with a thumbs up, heart, or kiss. These buttons operate just like texting, flirting, and sexting and everytime you respond, it immediately pulls another profile, until your run out of charm, or back out of Bookface. Also thanks to Apollom.
Some Tweaking made to X-ray Vision - Self explanitory. You should get more energy from xray vision now, though you may lose a little more willpower as well.
Minor fixes to Sandra's fetish outfit - Some poses were missing. Now they are not.
Some new options for Sandra's basic MC scenes (additional content) - While I was fixing Sandra's missing images, I decided to add a little extra something I had wanted to add when I first implimented Sandra's Fetish.
New Sandra Invite Over Variant (additional content) - I've had this in my to do list for a while, but I had misplaced the render files for this scene. Luckily I found them, and now there is a boobjob variant to Sandra Invite Over scene.
Billy Jean, Derek, and Freddy Videogame Scene Variant (additional content) - Pretty self explanitory, though I will say. You only need Polymorph: Gender Shift 1 to get this ....um...team building exercise...as an option.

What's in it?

What's it mean?
Sister perk has changed to Good Brother perk. - Stephanie is now a permanant figure in the game. With the perk she's stays at home, and goes to school as normal. Without it, she spends the school year in boarding school, and only visits during school breaks.
Yearly school schedule introduced. - There is now a winter, spring, and summer break from school. During these breaks, your grades do not matter, and you won't be penalized for bad grades. Your grades also won't decay, so it's a good time to get your grades up :)
Graduation - This is a giant scene. I mean Giant. There are 18 seperate scenes all crammed into this thing. I wanted the end of NCH to be hefty and that's what I got.
Chelsea variant for Nikki's Fetish added (Additional Content) - This has been planned for a while, but I made Nikki before Chelsea, and saw no point in adding Chelsea at the time, since you wouldn't be able to see the scene for another couple characters. And then there was just never enough time to make the scene. Well...one of our $30 Patrons made time for us :)
Freddy, Samantha, Allie variants for studying in the library if unlocked through NCHDL quests (Additional Content) - Another thing I had cooking in the background but never enough time to focus on. If you've ever noticed Samantha and/or Allie flirting with Freddy in your game...you can watch thier relationship develop passively by studying in the library.
Terri joining in with Mary invite over scene if both characters fetishes are unlocked (Additional Content) - Can't spell twins without win. Inviting Mary over will give you a new option if both Mary and Terri's fetish is unlocked.
That's it?
Yep...With 250+ Full renders, and something like 18000 words of dialogue, I can safely say that even though this update is short in terms of moving the needle forward storywise. On the backend it's huge since I've begun coding for a game outside the school. Which is where most of the game should eventually take place. I forced a lot of structure on the player early on, so that the player could at learn how to progress in the game, but with the school graduation, the training wheels are coming off. (Eventually...for now the school will still exist during breaks since there's no other way to make money besides work at the school.)
On a side note...I fought some of the worst insomnia I've had in years this last month. I really appreciate everyones patience with this release. The next release (Nurse Anne pt.1) will be out much faster.

Hey everybody...Here's were we're at with the next SP release.

I've done a lot of work on finishing the school year off with a bang(or three :p ) and should be finishing the renders for this update sometime today. Then for the next week I'm gonna write and code what's left. I have a a big chunk of the code already done on structuring the changes to the yearly schedule, but there's a lot of touch up needed regarding tooltips and things like that. Plus I need to write the the additional content that's been provided by the top tier patrons. So I should effectively be ready for a test build sometime mid next week, and have a full build out shortly there after. :) Anywho, that's what's going on on my end. Keep your eyes open for new stuff very soon :D

Here are the options, and a brief explanation.
Coffee Shop: The Coffee Shop is owned by Sophie...So I'll be working on the location options, The Barista Job, as well as developing Sophie as a character.
Globex: There's a lot of placeholder scenes that I'd like to fully develop, and of course there's Nurse Anne.
Logistics Division: Also has a lot of placeholder scenes, possibly another job, along with Courtney.

Hey all time for an update!
So after almost two months of grinding on Loser I finally got the update and most of the bugfixes out. And I'm exhausted...but in a good way. So that means It's gonna be time for me to Transition back to Superpowered. I'll start rendering SP starting tomorrow... A lot of what I'll be working on, is createing a logical schedule for the school....things like winter vacation, spring break, summer vacation and graduation. I've given this quite a bit of thought, and have decided to leave the school accessable after you graduate, because that's a lot of content to make inaccessable otherwise.
Graduation just means you'll no longer have to maintain grades, and other things will become available in future updates, once you do graduate. Creating this scheduale also allows me to do something I've been planning for a while... Making Stephanie a permanant character....Her perk will change from little sister, to good brother...and if you take the good brother perk, then you helped keep her from being put in a bording school for unruly kids. Anywho...I took yesterday, and I'll be taking today off as well, and starting tomorrow, I begin working on the next SP update.
Also...shortly after this is posted I'll be holding a poll about the content I'll be working on post School. Do the poll :o

There've been some issues with promoting Archetypes. As well as certain scenes that should proc, not proccing.I've fixed those. I've also updated the Tutorial with clearer language and pictures.

What's it mean?
2 new Archetypes for Becky: Queen Bee Sister and Less Bitchy Sister are now available to Becky both stem the Popular Sister AT. WARNING! Less Bitchy is currently a dead end as you cannot transform backwards from that AT. (as intended) So if you're interested in seeing both AT's, go Queen Bee first, so that you can revert back to Popular and then go Less Bitchy.
2 new Archetypes for Gina: Bartender Sister and Overly Affectionate Sister are now available to Gina and are linear progression.
A new schedule system: You can now see where characters are, or could be, one the location navigation bar. (This feature required me to gut and replace huge portions of game code which is why I took so long on this update.)
New Skill- Massage: Massage interactions will begin to become available with specific character ATs. More to come (of course).
Many new research options: Fashion, Finance, Subterfuge, and Massage can now be researched on the computer if you meet the minimum requirements(varied).
Dinner scene implimented: It's currently just a basic framework, but will gain more options over time.
Party Scene: Once Becky becomes Popular Sister, you'll be able to join her at a party with some of her friends if you meet the style requirements.
New Characters: Lisa, Sally, Morgan, Jay, Jack, London are being added to the cast.
Livestreaming Job: I've built the job system, and have made Livestreaming the initial job you can get. As stated in the skill list, you need to have Videogames rank 3 to unlock it. But once unlocked, many other things become avaialble in the stores. Things like getting a camera to improve income, or buying energy drinks to reduce focus cost. More jobs to come in the future.
New online stores: Sparkles is the jewelry store that unlocks from Fashion rank1, and Dudes Outfitter is the new clothing store that unlocks from Fashion rank2.
New Outfit/Style System: Some events and locations may require a given Style. You can gain a style, or multiple styles, by equiping an Outfit. You can only have one outfit in your item inventory at a time. Each outfit comes with it's own style and appearance bonuses. You can see what styles you currently have equipped in the skill sheetm right below Nathan's portrait.
New Mechanic- Intoxication: Drinking booze, or taking other illicit substances will now increase the intoxication of other characters. Some actions/interactions may require or be disabled based on the intoxication levels of that character.
What didn't make it?
New Archetype for Diane - Just ran out of time. Will be in 0.04.00.
New Archetype for Charlie - Just ran out of time. Will be in 0.04.00.
New animations - The animations I have made are for Charlie...but with her getting cut this update...well, the animations did too.
Richard- He shows up for dinner and date night with Diane but that's about it. Will be in the next update.

Reminder: I only support the windows version of the game. I make these other versions as a courtesy, but have no way of testing them or troubleshooting them. Also the Android SDK is causing issues with this version of Unity...and honestly...the apk is like 3.3 gigs as is, so I'm not gonna be making an Android port. Sorry :(

Hey everyone,
Time for a weekly update...I'm uploading the fourth AT test build as I type this. So things are going well. However... Outside of a few additions after this test build, I will be calling this update finished... As much as I'd like to add in another Diane and Charlie AT...I have to get back to my normal schedule, and my SP fans have been patient enough. I need to get back to SP. Plus after looking at what has been added to the game, I'm more than happy with the amount of content added. And I promise to have at least one new AT for Diane and Charlie with Loser update 0.04.00.
The refactoring and bughunting of said refactoring just did a number on my schedule, and...as the AT's advance, they become more and more complex, which means...more and more time is needed to get them to work as intended. One thing I'll be keeping mind for my next Update. Since there's very little in the way of rendering that needs to be done (maybe 3-6 images left) I see the release of Loser update 0.03.00 happening this weekend.
Speaking of this weekend...My monthly livestream is happening this upcoming weekend, so be sure to update me all you $30 patrons of your requests.

Hey every ones. Hope it goes well for you all.
Wanted to give you a progress report on the new Loser update. I've got Gina finished(finally). She took much longer than expected, but is finally working. There are a few bugs to be ironed out, but, I'm pretty much working on Becky now, and her first AT should be pretty quick, since I have 90% of the images rendered. Things should speed up a bit form here on out. I keep saying that and hitting snags....I should stop saying that :o
Well, I'll just say the plan is to have Becky's two AT's done in a week...We'll see if that works out.

Hey look, I remembered :D
So I've continued to work on Content for Loser this last week. I'm almost done with Gina's 2nd AT so that's good :) I have about a day left of work for her. which I will get to on Sunday. Today and tomorrow, I'll be doing my end of the month $30 stream starting at noon CST at https://picarto.tv/NightCityProductions . Not much else to talk about other than I've been rendering, and writing ;) After Gina I'll be working on Becky, (who should be pretty quick for her first AT, since She's almost completely rendered already), and then Diane and followed by Charlie. Anywho...Time to go to work. I'll catch up with you in week.

Hey every people!
It's come to my attention by some fans that it's been a while since I put out an update. Thank you for the reminder. With the lockdown, sense of time has gone out the window, and I've been so focused on refactoring code for Loser that I didn't realize how long it's been since I last put out an update! Sorry about that.
Here's where we're at.
- The new code systems for scheduleing has been coded and is mostly bug free. I say mostly because...well, while I've fixed all bugs found, there may still be a few critters in hiding.
- Family Dinner code and rendering has been done. It looks real cool :) There isn't much there now, outside of gaining stats, but it can and will be expanded.
- New code for tracking characters has been implimented so that you can glance at the Location bar and see where characters are. It's working quite well :)
- An updated saving system that hopefully is a little more forgiving for people with slower computers, has been coded and implimented. (thank god....this was a nightmare :o )
- Added a fullscreen button, that toggles fullscreen mode and windowed mode to the options menu. Also added a hotkey for it (f12)
- More skills implimented with online shopping.
- More skills implimented with research action.
- New Skill Massage implimented.
- New Becky AT1: 90% rendered 0% written
- New Becky AT2: 0% complete
- New Gina AT1: 95% rendered 20% written
- New Gina AT2: 10% rendered 0% written
- New Diane AT: 60% rendered 0% written
- New Charlie AT: 0% complete
- Dad: Cut from this build update (will be in the next build )
As you can see, I've done all the back end stuff, and am now in the content creation portion. Things are now moving along quite well. I should have the first Gina AT done today, and will be working on her second soon. AT's generally don't take too long to make 2-3 days if it's from scratch. There's only two AT's that will be made completely from scratch left, so I should be speeding towards a release soonish.
This release will be a bit late. I generally do 4 weeks of Dev, and one of testing, but refactoring this time around was a slog, and added a week and a half to my normal timeframe, but I won't skimp on content just to update back end systems. Especially on a game I only work on once every 3 months. I do promise however that I am working hard to get this update out as fast as possible. Yesterday I rendered and streamed for 16ish hours straight. I are commited ;) I'll do my best not to skip next week update ;)
