Hey everybody!
So, until the lockdown, I didn't realise how reliant I was on my roommates schedule to keep me informed about simple things like what day it is. But since the Superpowered release last week, I've been at my computer, working furiously in Unity and Visual Studio, refactoring a bunch of Loser code, and it wasn't until I woke up today and looked at the calendar that I realised two things. One, it's Saturday, and two, It's the last weekend of the month. SO if you're a $30 Patron, sorry I havn't mentioned this earlier this month. My internal calendar is all out of wack with my home schedule being completely different than what I'm used to. That being said... Since I'm wide awake at 8am on a Saturday morning, I think I'll start my $30 Livestream a bit early this month. At 9am CST I'll begin the livestream and it'll go on until 3pm. Tomorrow I'll livestream day 2 for 6 hours as well, and if any renders are left after that, I'll finish those on Monday. Onto Progress in Loser. As mentioned above, I've been refactoring a lot of code. Previously all of the events in the game and a characters schedule were tied to locations. So when you entered a location, it would check the time, and other variables, such as how clean the room was and what archtype the characters were to determine if a scene should automatically trigger. While it made it easier to make each individual event, the more events get added, the more complicated and difficult it is to navigate through a locations many events. So I've been rewriting the code so that events are stored in a schedule that is specific to each individual archetype. And each characters current active archetype is check when the clock advances to determine where the character is and what they are doing. This has allowed me to update Location Buttons to show if a character is present at that location. My previous method didn't know if someone was present until you wnt to that location, and it checked for events then.
So I'm getting good benefits out of all this refactoring, but....it also means I've broken a lot of scenes that relied on the old event coding, and I'm now having to update pretty much every time specific scene I've already made. Which is what I've been doing all week...and I'm almost done :o Then I can move on to much cooler things, like adding new content and what not. This probably sounds pretty boring to some of you out there...and that's because it is. But it's needed to improve the game, especially for this project in general. I started making Loser with an advanced beginners understanding of C# and Unity. I'm now entering the realm of Intermediate understanding, and will probably be updating code for the first week or two of each Loser dev month as I learn more and more ways to make the game more effecient, and flexible towards what I want it to do.
Finally: Stay safe out there. Wash your hands with soap. (Hand sanitizer isn't nearly as effective as soap.)

It's taken a little longer than originally planned, but's finally out. I went a little ham with the rendering, and extended the storyline a bit. This one storyline is approximately 20% of the entire NCHDL storyline content, which includes recruiting all the characters, and all the other plotlines...So it's a biggun.
Anywho...
What's in it?
The conclusion of the NCHDL story.
A new Jealousy scene between Stephanie and Maggie.
Billy Jean versions of most Public Ops if you have the polymorph ability to shift genders.
Some rebalancing of Global Reputation. It's now worth twice as much as it used to be. It costs 250 global reputation rather than 500 for letters of recommendation, and this halving of costs has been done across the board.
Anything else?
Nope.
Well technically...there's some new mechanics, such as unpowered combat, 2 new enemies (enemies are people you punch for profit and fun), a new combat location, and a fairly hefty reward for all your hard work in the NCHDL. But...that's all in service to the conclussion of the story. There are some small scenes left to make afterwards which I plan to do in one of the following updates.

So I've finished all the renders for the next update, and have been writing/coding quite a bit these last few days. It's looking like I'll have a test build out by Sunday, and have the new release out sometime in the middle of the week. Then I start up with Loser Development. Nothing much else to update. I missed last weeks weekly update, I was too busy rendering. Sorry :o On the upside, I've gotten a lot of renders done, and code done. I'm finishing up the storyline renders this week, and will be working next week to get as much writing done as I can. Hey everypeople, it's been a while since I put out a new Roadmap and I thought now would be a good time. It's been a long journey, with a few mistakes, but I'm really excited to be nearing the end of Phase 1 for SuperPowered. I'll go ahead and cover some of those mistakes and how I plan to avoid making them again in the future.
1. Putting the development plan up to vote.
Now I'm all for holding votes for those that back the game, but I really should have just stuck with my gut instict and left the overall design plan of the game out of backers hands. I knew that the school was going to take a long time to make with the amount of characters I wanted to add, but... I was trying to give more value to the different backer tiers. Being stuck working on a single aspect of the game for a few years will burn anyone out, and that deffinitely happened to me. In the future, I will be a little tight around the design plan, while giving morewhat I've found to be much better recieved votes for things that players care about ...such as character design...outfit design, and so on.
2. Ignoring Burn out.
I tried to ignore the burn-out in 2018 and just trudge through and honestly, I feel like the work suffered from it. One reason why game dev studios that operate with heavy amounts of crunch tend to put out crap games, is when a coder and designer are mentally spent, the work they put into the game usually needs to be redone. Anthem is a good example of this. This last year I've been making a concerted effort to seperate myself from a project when I'm feeling completely uninspired. Starting dev in Loser has helped tremedously in this area.
3. Feature Creep.
This is tied closely to the first issue. I would spend so much time working on a character in a given patch, that by the time the character was released, I never wanted to mess with that character ever again, and I would break these monotony cycles by doing a function update, that would add new systems to the game. Some good, Such as more powers, some not so good, such as the dispersed influence system. I've generally avoided anything that wasn't in my initial plan that added to the render workload, but even those little things such as maintaining your school grades each month have probably hurt the game a little bit.
4. Ignoring the story.
I initially didn't want to add any story into the game until the primary locations were finished. So the School, Globex, The Initiative, and the Logistics Division. Considering I'm just now close to finishing the school goes to show that that would be a long time without any real plot so to speak. I will be progressing story elements more regularly once the school is finished.
Those are the big four mistakes I've made and how I plan to avoid them in the future with Superpowered, and Loser. Now let's move on to the positives.
1. All the school characters are finished for the most part.
I say for the most part, because there's tiny bits of content left here and there for different characters, but in general, the largest concentration of planned NPC's in the game is finished. It's also created a good break point for transitioning into the next pahse of the game. You finished school, now what? That's when choices really start to matter. Do you start working for the initiative, the logistics division, or free-lance? Lot's of potential content here.
2. The storyline for the school is close to being done as well.
I wanted to make a storyline, that gave some sort of introduction intot he hero world, andI feel like a I did a decent enough job at that. Excuse me while I pat myself on the back.
3. Reducing my monthly personal load.
This year was the first year where I stretched out my workload on character development from 10 weeks to 15 weeks, and while that's slowed progress on the game down, I feel like the writing and rendering has improved, becaused I'm not longer pulling 50-60 hour weeks to get all the content of a character rendered and written in time. Thus further reducing the burn out effect. I am after all more or less a one man show. I have a part time employee, but I've had them working on animations for Loser recently, since they eem to be pretty good at it, and I don't really have the patience to do it well.
4. Loser
Learning a new programming language, and game engine has done wonders for my coding skills in general, but has really improved my motivation with both projects. Being able to walk away from SP for a while has really helped me with my motivation for the project. After Grinding on C# and unity for a month, I actually look forward to putting on the comfy Ren'py coat afterwards. I'd presonally prefer to work 50-50 on both projects, but I think some of that might be due to my infatuation with Unity. After Loser 0.04.00 comes out, which would mark a year of Loser Dev, I may hold another vote regarding Dev time split between projects. But for the next 4-5 months I'll continue with the 2/1 SP/Loser focus split.
Ok I've been yak-yaking enough. Lets move on to the SuperPowered RoadMap.

I'm sure you noticed " Work on Location Supplimental " mentioned a few times. Each location will have some supplimental content. For example if the Logistics Division is voted on, Then I'll develop the location specific scenes more. Right now there's a lot of boiler plate content when you apply for a higher pay grade, or what not, But once all that's done, I'll probably still have about a month and a half of working on Courtney, so the Logistics Division supplimental content may be a new job location, and job. The Coffeeshop will come with Sophie being Developed, along with being supplimented with working on Danni. (not promising to finish her here, just adding more interactivity than is currently in the game) Globex (Nurse Anne) will be supplimented with mostly Globex content, since there's a lot of boilerplate content from when Billy gets the Syrix shots. I plan to render each of those scenes. Plus, Anne will take a little longer than the other characters just because she has a work uniform, which adds 2/3rds more work to making a character. (one of the reasons the school took so damn long)
I'm sure you've also noticed that I haven't listed what I'll be working on Loser. That's because I'm so early in development with Loser I still can't accurately gauge how far along I am or will be after each update. Plus, I added a short term road map directly into the game, so you can see what I plan to work on for the next update there.
Finally I plan on updating my backer teirs sometime soon. Back when SP was a much smaller game it was easy for me to upload a test build multiple times in a month, but now that the game is over 3 gigs....Not so much. One test build and test build hotfixes is about the best my bandwidth can handle. So I'll be adding in some new perks to the $20 backer tier. Speaking of. I'm not much for pushing for subscriptions. I'm not a good salesman, and will never claim to be one. But, I do feel the need to bring this up. I'd like to hire my part time employee on full time or at least pay him more. So any financial help from you fine people that play my game but don't support my work could really help me, and my employee out greatly. And for those that do support my work thank you so much. I really do appreciate it. Patreon has made many changes that have pretty much cut my income in half since 2018, and financially, things are becoming strained.

Hey everypeople,
Weekly update time! Progress is moving along smoothly. I'm close to finishing the scene renders for the next release, and then I only have a new enemy to render. Enemies do take time to make since I have to render all thier combat actions, and Combat renders. But Since the scene renders are almost done, I'm not too concerned with the time. If all goes to plan I may be able to release this next update 4 weeks after the previous release, rather than the usual 5 weeks.
I know I usually give you all percentages, but storylines aren't nearly as rigidly defined as characters, which makes it hard to give an accurate number. I always live in a cycle of "If there's enough time, maybe I can add..." Anywho, I'll be doing a movie night on stream this weekend, and I also plan to update the Roadmap for the year this weekend as well, so keep your eyes out :)

Hey every people,
Time for the weekly update. I held off on posting this earlier so I could see how much work I got done. I'm almost a third of the way finished with this next updates renders, so I'm on track there :) I plan to have the last of the NCHDL storyline finished with this update, which means I'll only have one or two updates left before I can tie a bow on the school and move on to developing new locations. I will be holding a vote near the end of next month in regards to who I'm gonna work on next. It's been nice taking a break from character development for a while and just focusing on story, but this world I'm creating for you folks isn't gonna build itself.
I will be doing the monthly Livestream this weekend(sorta). I'll be streaming Sunday and Monday. So all you $30 patrons be sure I know what I should be working on, or I'm gonna make whatever I want :P

Hey everybody. Sorry for the delay. I was sick all last week, and am still only at 80%. I did put quite a few render hours in this weekend and have finished the the next updates renders. So I will be spending the next few days writing and coding. My goal is to have a test build out by the weekend, so that a full release is out early next week. I'm gonna keep this short because I've got a lot of writing to do.

Hey everybody!
Sorry I didn't give an update last week. I got so involved with rendering new story content, it kinda slipped my mind. Well, needless to say last week was busy. I got the new release of Loser out allong with some bug fixes, I started adding in some of the additional content for SP, such as Larsons Fetish, as well as rendered almost 100 story related images for SuperPowered! So things are moving along nicely ^_^
What's next?
Well this next week is gonna be a bit 'Messy'. with Holidays and what not I'll probably miss a day or two streaming, but fear not, I'll be doing the monthly Livestream this upcoming weekend :) In the meanwhile I'll continue to render story content and keep pushing towards a school completion.

Well it's a little late. I had hoped to have this released yesterday, but ridding the game of bugs took up all yesterday, and uploading took all of today. But none the less. It's out now.
What's new?

Hey Everybody!
Thanks to a certain bird related holiday I'm doing a somewhat late weekly update. Progress is going very well. I've already put out 2 test builds and squashed most of the bugs as they are reported, which is good, because last update to Loser, I spent the last week of Loser Dev chasing all the bugs reported. And it's looking like I'll have a day or two at most when I add in the final parts. Speaking of which...
I've added in the framework for Charlie into the code and have now begun rendering her scenes. All the final bugs for Becky's 3rd Archetype, and Dianes 4th Archetype are being ironed out. I aim to have a public full release by next Friday.

Wanted to give a quick update. Things are going well in the Loser front. Most of the heavy coding for this build is already finished. I thought it would take me a week, but I was able to get it done in 2 days, so that means more Render time for the archetypes. That's a good thing :D I'll be focusing on converting all the renders I made last week into actions that Nathan can take, and working on rendering Diane and Gina this week. Hey everybody!
So the bug hunt for the Superpowered test build is going well. A shout out to all my tester peeps. They help the game out more than you know, and with an update like this, with lots of little pieces that "bend" the rules, bugs...there will be many. I plan to have the full update out tomorrow, so keep an eye for it :D
Next...as the above image implies, I begin working on Loser as soon as Supowered 0.37.00 goes live. My first week is going to be focused on adding in more skill actions, and filling out some of the skill trees with content. Second week will be doing some under the hood work, fixing a few things, adding a new system, playing with numbers. The last two weeks of Dev will be focused on adding in tons of Archetype content to the characters of the game. As seen above I already have some archetype content made thanks to my $30 Patrons (almost 2 full archetypes worth of renders)
Current Minimum Goal: 2 new AT's for Diane, 2 new AT's for Becky, 1 new AT for Gina, 2 new AT's for Charlie (The next door neighbor)
I say minimum, because if I can add more in my given timeframe, I will.

Hey everybody!
Just giving a quick weekly progress report. I've finished rendering for this update, and am now writing/coding everything into the game. I aim to have a test build out by Saturday, and a full update out sometime next week. This is an odd update in that it 's mostly tying up loose ends (character fetishes and what not), and starting the main school storyline. For those that played the Rags game, the first "Antagonist?" won't be any surprise. But this will be her first appearance in the Ren'py version. This will only be an introduction scene to the story, as I had a lot of other things cooking this update (Namely Terri's fetish, which took 2 weeks :/ ), but next update will be 100% story focused.
Just as a reminder, after this updates release, I'll be working on Loser for a month. Which I'm pretty excited about. All in all, Thew next few months of work is gonna be a lot of fun for me, as I'll finally be making superhero content in SP, and implimenting more content into Loser :)

Terri's fetish content is taking a hair longer than expected. Even with 2 extra days of rendering last week, the initial scenes took a lot to render just due to the involvement of other characters needed for the fetish. But the final scene should be finished today, and I start rendering the Story content tomorrow. So I'll have about a week and a half to render the first part in the story, before I start wrapping up this update, which should be plenty of time. I aim to have a test build out by the last week of the month. Speaking of... The $30 Patron Livestream is happening this weekend. I'm gonna do it Saturday & Sunday Starting at noon CST. Terri's fetish content and the Storyarch Mission will take up all my rendering time this update, but if I have some coding time, I'll try and add in the Humanitas power, but currently, outlook is saying I'm not going to have the time. Either which way, It will be added in either 0.37.00 or 0.38.00.
So what's next after 0.37.00 ? I'll continue working on the Storyarch of course. But, I'll also be adding in the the other two Tier 3 school jobs, and if there's time beyond that, I'll start implimenting the skill system.
Anywho, future updates will be quite exciting, now that I can break from NPC Development for a while :D

So, 0.36.00 was released last weekend, and 0.36.01 will be released shortly after I post this with a few bug fixes. Last I also did some work on Terri's fetish content. I should have the rendering done by tomorrow. Then I can start working on NCHDL content :)
I want to talk about it, but I don't like giving spoilers, so I'll just say, I'm quite happy to be working on the last part of the school content ^_^ I will do my best to make it exciting :P

What's it mean?
Chelsea's Nympho Scenes - Chelsea has a gating mechnic similar to Stephanie, or Allie, so there is a version of each scene with, and without the required flaw.
Chelsea's Obsessive Scenes - Just like the Nympho content, there are versions of each of these scenes with and without the required flaw, along with 2 different polymorph variants for the final scene.
Chelsea's Fetish content - Due to the nature of Chelsea's fetish, her fetish content does not culminate in her own specialty scene, but touches many others invite over scenes. Unlocking her fetish does however require multiple other fetishes to be unlocked.
New Jelousy Scene - Stephanie and Maggie are at it again. Once again brought to you by one of the $30 patrons.
New After NCHDL Video Game Scene - The boys have gotten together again, to compete in the ancient battle of Vidjya Games. Once again brought to you by one of the $30 patrons.

Hey everybody,
So I've been working on the reported bugs from the test build and adding in additional content these last two days. The 0.36.00 build is almost finished and ready. It will be out either later tonight, or early tomorrow.
I figured I'd talk about the next update, and what I plan for it. Terri's Fetish is first on the list. Second, there are some additional scenes, that I did not have time to add this update that will be added next update. After that...
The first Major storyarch for the NCHDL. This will take a bit of work, as there are many different paths you could have taken to get where you are today, and have at least 3 different conclussions to the story.
Finally, if I have time...(and that's a big if) I want to add in the social utility power. I've been putting that power off for a while, namely because aura's are a pain to impliment :P But it's time to pull the band-aid off, and just get it over with.
So keep your eyes out late tonight, or eatly tomoow for 0.36.00.

I'll be starting my monthly Livestream in 15 minutes (at 5:30pm CST) and will also be livestreaming tomorrow starting at 1 pm CST. Sorry for the late start today, but I stayed up extremely late getting the test build out. You can find the livestream HERE.

Hi Everypeople!
I've been writing a crazy amount these last few days, and only have Chelseas Fetish to finish the tesst build. It should be done tonight or tomorrow, so a test build will be not too far behind. Which means the full update should be done by next mon-tue, once all the bonus content is written. So I'll be writing all week. As a reminder this weekend is also the $30 livestream. I'll make an announcement about it closer to the day.
So what does that mean? That means next week I begin rendering for the next update. I've already rendered half of Terri's Fetish. SuLynn's Fetish should be done next update as well, along with quite a few others. The school is getting closer and closer to being complete :D
Once I finish Terri's Fetish, I'll begin working on the NCHDL storyline. This last part is however a bit of a doozy. Before I claim the school "Complete" I want the NCHDL storyline finished, so there may be a few updates focusing solely on storyline. Either way, I'm excited to be so close to the end of the school. That means I can start to focus on more "Super-Hero" oriented content soon.
Anywho, I'm gonna get back to writing so that I can get this test build out, either tonight or tomorrow.

Hey everybody,
Chelsea is almost is almost done. Only a few more renders for her fetish content to be completed. Then I'll start working on Terri's fetish content. Something I've been putting off for a bit. I still need to write quite a bit, but even if I don't complete Terri's fetish renders, the end of next week is my cut-off point for this build, which means a test will be following shortly.
TLDR: Chelsea almost done, Test build in week, full update to follow shortly after.

Hey everypeople.
Here's another weekly update. Chelsea is moving along nicely. I've finished the first two scenes of the obsessive scenes, and will be working on the last scene and it's different branches this week, and if I have time move on to her fetish content. As a reminder, this weekend I'll be doing my monthly $30 stream. And then after that I'll be taking a week off for my birthday. Afterwards I'll bust as much ass as needed to get Chelsea's fetish content completed. While I am taking a week off, I will still try and stick to my usual 5 week dev cycle for this SP build. So if I have enough time, I'll finish Terri's fetish content as well, but if not, that'll be the first bit of content I work on for the following update.

Hey everypeople,
After a week of tinkering and bugfixing Loser, It's time to get back on track with Superpowered! And it is time to finish Chelsea. I'll be working on her content (Obsessive & Fetish Content) for this month, and hopefully if I have time, I'll be able to do Terri's Fetish content as well. Couple things to note this month. The last week of the month I'm taking a week off for my Birthday. My Birthday is technically in the first week of September, but I want to spend a week no-lifeing Classic WoW. That's my birthday present to myself :P
So because of that I'll be doing the $30 livestream on the 24th & 25th this month. I'll put out another reminder next week. I'll alos be returning to my usual livestream schedule of tues - Thursday. 1pm - 7pm CST at https://picarto.tv/NightCityProductions .
