Mad week

The email was legit! My poster will be part of a set in a web series (I don't think I can say which one yet, but its relatively big, and I had read an article about it a couple months ago, so its prominent enough!). Dealing with legal documents and licensing is weird!

The rest of the week was sort of disjointed, but I got that batmobile reference model done. I'm way behind on what I wanted to have done by now, but thats the story of my life i guess. Next week should be a lot better for updates and new art.

(i also have a couple smaller drawings I aught to post, inluding mara sov from destiny, but Im still picking away at them. Hopefully free to work tomorrow all day so expect new crud.

'Batman' - Alfred

I enjoyed designing Alfred. I imagine him to be in his 50s/60s, and not quite as frail as he can occasionally be portrayed. Still plenty of life in the old dog, and to be honest, I'm sure he's had to drag 'Master Bruce' around when he's fainted from fear toxin etc. You need to be FIT to move a man that size.

Schoolism assignments

I've had a subscription to Schoolism for a while now (thanks to Nally's Patronage for all those months) and its been enormously benificial to improving my work. As silly as it sounds, doing a basic course that teaches fundamental techniques was exactly what I needed. I was entirely self taught with digital art until I took this course. Its been great to understand more about digital art and all the options available to me.

I thought I'd share a few of the assignments I'd done. Keep in mind, for these ones they all started out with a pre made JPEG, usually a sketch, or in black and white. We'd go over the initial piece and over the course of a few hours we'd learn how to take it from basic to something entirely different. (TLDR I didnt draw the images, but I did paint/ render them.)
