[PUBLIC EPISODE] The Wizard, the Witch and the Wild One: ep051 "The Endeavor"

This is our endeavor. To blade! To tongue! To plow! To grind our name into the bones of tomorrow, until the horizon is lucid smooth as liquid mirror, sharp as cut glass, clear as cool water rising, irrigating in our throats the dry river bed of ambition. A witch in the gut of the tower. A wild one embraced by blood. A wizard in the court of the sword. All days divided into the days before and the days after, like the two sides of a shut window of black glass.

[PUBLIC EPISODE] The Wizard, the Witch and the Wild One: ep050 "Axis Mundi"

Everything that rises must converge. In the gloaming, where the tide of one world washes and runs across the sands of another, we pass through the center of things like a gate, like a river, like the sea of the sky, champions on parade at the crossroads, a place we know, a place we find familiar, before the night, as it ever does, arrives.

After recording the episode COMPLETELY APART, the cast reunites to cast blame, make insincere passive aggressive apologies, throw drinks in each other's faces, and proudly admit to the camera that they are "not here to make friends." I think. I think that's what happens. Been watching A LOT of Real Housewives and The Hills, and I might be combining it all in my head. Anyway, at the launch party for Eursulon's new beach-wear brand, Ame STUNS the party when she invites Jeff, CEO of a competing beach-wear brand and Suvi's ex-best friend.

Good morning, Sunday morning. It's a beautiful day to walk into Toma and buy as much cake as Lohan can fit in a wheelbarrow. To accompany you, here's some music from our most recent episode: the theme from the village of Toma!

Just wanted to drop you darlings a sweet treat for the weekend. Yes, we'll put out a (more) full OST someday, I promise! But hey, who knows, maybe there can be more OST drops like this in the future...who can say, fam....who...can...say (thats me, Taylor, fading out). Kisses.

[PUBLIC EPISODE] The Wizard, the Witch and the Wild One: ep046 "Their Sorrow is My Sorrow"

And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief, and the dry stone no sound of water. When the dead tree bears the fruit of empire, it will all be this. You can't shake it. You can't shake me. Or the burning sky, or the blood, or the ink, or the ash. But there is a part of us that lives forever, and chances taken are rewarded. Stretch your legs, use the space, and I will show you your shadow at evening rising to meet you. I will show you fear in a handful of dust and freedom in the shadow of man. Deep breaths.

RELEASE SCHEDULE UPDATE: My friends and lovers, the next episode of hit podcast Worlds Beyond Number, titled "The Battle of Twelvebrooks, Part 1" will come out on April 29th, and then the next episode two weeks after that, etc etc, until we finish Book 1. We're giving the whole release schedule a lil skooch up one week. Don't worry, we have a delightful replacement treat for you to shove in your head holes during the buffer week. Which head holes? Up to you, comrade. Choose wisely.

The Oath of Freedom Paladin Subclass

I only ask if you come with me, that you match my breath and walk in my footsteps. We will not be seeking the ideal outcome, simply one in which they are free.

We are so proud to present the Oath of Freedom Paladin subclass!

[download attachment is at the bottom of the post]

The Oath of Freedom is a lifelong commitment to liberty and the ideals it depends on—equality, empathy, and solidarity. Often called lordless knights, freedom fighters, and revolutionaries, these paladins swear an oath to oppose the constricting forces of tyranny and bondage wherever they take root. Their wild spirits and outsized passions reflect the promise of living freely, and they bear no standards and wear no uniform—though their manner of dress often involves lighter armor, flowing garments, and symbols of emancipation such as feathers or broken chains.

As you play along, we'd love to hear your feedback for this Paladin subclass in our playtest survey!

  • Playtest feedback is most useful when it identifies specific issues, pain points, and areas of confusion—or things that are working well. If you think something is bad/not fun/unbalanced/not as good as the previous version, please be specific and tell us why! And finally, please don't backseat design—it's most helpful to know what you think of the existing design, not what you think it should be, so we can best identify the core issues to address.

We hope you enjoy this subclass as much as we did making it for you!

In case you missed it, you can find the revised Witch class here, and the Wizard of the Citadel subclass here.

Across the night, with the dawn, this version of her, our gilled mage. Suvirin Kedberiket, amphibious and unalone. In the ice cave abattoir, our survivors, the otter and the otherworldly. The fresh hells of a secret past. And then, the trail, far beyond the broad road, taking them to whatever gifts the past has left. The task at hand. A good feeling. Dark river water. Bodies at the bottom murk, but above us: nothing. Exactly where we want to be.
