Also, I've added some new stylized backgrounds to replace the photo backgrounds. Just swap the existing background images in the /images/ folder with the ones in the /images/painted backgrounds/ folder.

Progress Update

I've just had an insanely busy week. This is the first time I've had a chance to sit down at my computer in 5 days, so I apologize for the lack of communication. The good news is that I should have some time this weekend, and next week looks like it will be back to normal, more or less.

Devilish Business:

I've seen the preliminary sketches for the next art! Shouldn't be too long now until there's more Cassandra!

Thunderous Business:

I've got a relatively clear path ahead for what I need to work on this weekend, so I'll be putting in some hours on TB in the days to come.

A Slight Delay

My last week has been insanely busy - this is pretty much the first time I've sat down at my computer for days - so I'm going to miss my "before May" window for the next Thunderous Business update.

That said, I'm really close and I've got quite a bit of free time over the next few days so I'll almost certainly release v0.3.4 to Patrons on Monday (May 3rd).

Hopefully you all find it worth the wait!

Progress Update

Devilish Business:

The results of the poll for the next art are in and it's a landslide. The next art will be for Cassandra. Feel free to message me, here or on Discord, if you have a favorite Cassandra scene. I'll be putting in the order next week.

Thunderous Business:

I'm making steady progress on the next update. Today I made a massive (behind the scenes) change to how the cam studio works, fixing a pretty major bug in the process. If everything goes to plan, I anticipate releasing this update before May.

Progress Update

Devilish Business:

A number of people have expressed that they felt that the real backgrounds clashed with the character art. Obviously my spending priority is the character art, but I was inspired to try something out to maybe alleviate the problem in the mean time.

I've worked with each of the background images to make them seem more like they were painted. Maybe that way they'll clash a little less. I'll be including these new painted versions as an alternative in the next update.

Thunderous Business:

I've been working on a new storyline for Thunderous Business that should deal with a few of the main concerns with the game at the moment. I had to get a bit of coding help, as the main idea was a little beyond my skillset, but it seems to have worked. The next update should include a new location, new characters, and more to do right from the start!

Progress Update

Devilish Business:

Initial sketches for the next art have been completed and the final product is underway. Not long now until we have some more art for Jessica!

Thunderous Business:

I've been putting in a lot of work on TB lately; I've recovered my previously lost hours and then some! I feel that I've completed about 80% of the next update and things are progressing smoothly. So smoothly, in fact, that I'm going to give you a bigger hint into what I've been working on. The next update will add three small scenes each for:

Abby
Ainsley
Charlotte
Cheryl
Holly
Julie
Kayley
Lisa
Melina
Melissa
Nia
Nihal
Sienna
Taylor

The only girls who I haven't worked on yet are Nihal, Sienna, and Taylor. The rest are either complete or 2/3 complete.

I'm not confident enough to give an actual ETA, but I'm making progress each day, so it shouldn't be long now!

Progress Update

Thunderous Business:

I've made significant progress on Thunderous Business in the last few days. I have essentially finished the "back end" with regards to the next big update and all that remains is writing scenes and finding the pics/video clips to go with them.

None of you will be surprised to hear that this update has become bigger than I expected; I tend to bite off more than I can chew. But it is well underway and I don't foresee any major delays.

Progress Update

Sorry for the lack of communication recently. I fell into a pit called Cyberpunk 2077 and just now managed to drag myself out ;)

Real Life:

The changes at my workplace that I mentioned in my last Progress Update have definitely affected how much time I have to work on the games. I'm going to be making some changes to how I do things so that I can recover some of those lost hours, but my progress has definitely slowed down some.

Devilish Business:

Work is underway on the next piece of art. Hopefully it wont be too long before we see some more of Jessica!

Thunderous Business:

I was able to get a bit of extra work in on TB today and I should have a few extra hours tomorrow to work on it. No ETA on an update yet, but I'm excited about the things I've been working on; should be big, exciting, and expandable once complete!

I hope you enjoy the new replay feature! You can currently replay most of the girls' lewd scenes once you've played the most risqué version of them. The replays do not currently extend to the endings, but if enough people want that, I could add it at a later date.

Progress Update

Real Life:

There have been some major changes at my workplace and, while I'm thankful I still have a job, I haven't been unaffected; my work hours have changed dramatically. It might take a week or two for me to see how this will affect my time spent working on DB and TB. I might even have more time to work on them, but at this point I just have no idea.

Devilish Business:

One more piece of art has been completed and now I'm just waiting on the final piece for the next update!

Thunderous Business:

I've fixed a few bugs (keep those bug reports coming!) and started a new scene with Zoe. I'll likely release a minor update once Zoe's new scene is complete. I've also been working, outside of the game, on some ideas for future progress. I'm going to spend some time this weekend thinking about which direction we're going next so that I know where to spend my time best.

Once again a release that took way too long... So thank you all for your patience.

I actually hadn't planned on releasing it right now, but as I was working on it today I realized that I'd never release it if I just kept on adding things, so I stopped at a good spot and here it is.

I've made a few behind-the-scenes changes that will allow me to release more often, without people needing to start a new game each time so future releases should be more frequent.

That said, there's a lot of new stuff! It's not a perfect comparison, but it went from ~180,000 words in v0.2.1 to ~235,000 now in v0.3.0.

The biggest changes are the new spell (and reformulated main quest to fit it in), the new characters, new scenes, and a whole bunch of back-end stuff that will make future content easier to implement.

I spent a few hours (re)playing the game from start to finish, so it's all functional, but I'm sure you guys will find bugs that I missed, so please let me know what you find!

Progress Update

Devilish Business:

The next piece of art is underway! I've been discussing the details with the artist and the preliminary sketches have me excited for the outcome!

Thunderous Business:

I had made some good progress, then discovered a problem that set me back some time.

I made a bunch of video clips for Zoe's first scene, then realized there was a problem with them: when looping, they had a weird flash that made them incredibly annoying. After searching for the solution for an hour I found the source: the most recent version of Lightworks - the video editing program I've been using - introduced a bug that added a single black frame to the end of all exported videos. And there's no word on a fix. In the words of one of their forum moderators, "the only solution is to open your videos in a different video editor and remove the frame".

So I'm switching completely to OpenShot for now. What's the point of using a video editor if you just have to re-edit in a different one?

So, I'll fix all the messed up clips and finish making the rest, then Zoe will be an enthrallable character!

Progress Update

Devilish Business:

The next art for Candace has been ordered and is in the artist's queue. It turned out to be the largest order I've made since the original order of the 5 sprites! It will include a completely new pose, a major modification of another one, and a new costume for the original sprite.

Thunderous Business:

I've made some great progress in the last few days. It's actually been quite refreshing after a period where it seemed like a major struggle to even get a little bit done.

I've completed Abby's currently-planned content, I reconfigured the Seek spell to be much more interesting and useful, I've made good progress on Zoe's introduction quest, and started the introduction quest for the (as-yet-to-be-named) Librarian. The next few days are going to be more busy for me IRL, so I'm not sure now many hours I can work on it, but I'm pretty stoked with my current progress and with my ideas for the near future, so I'm sure I'll squeeze some more time in.
