Tingle Patreon Skit - Raw Recording

To create the Patreon segment, since we have little in the way of filming resources, we decided to try creating a portion with Matt (one of our behind the scenes members) laying on the floor, and superimposing his face over Tingle's...

It was horrible. But hey, isn't our misery part of your enjoyment?

This is an old video we totally forgot we made. We were toying with the idea of a show in this kind of format. There are some real sound issues and I just did a bare bones edit on it but it was still pretty fun to make.

Changes to DYKG Extra endslates

Hey guys, we figured we'd give you all a quick heads up to a change we're going to trial in the next episode of the show.

We feel like the ends of our videos are extending beyond a reasonable time, so we're looking to combine some parts together to make it flow better. You'll all still receive the mentions and whatnot you're pledging towards, but we will now show top patrons before we show the list of all other patrons.

This isn't a major change or one which will be hugely noticeable after a few episodes, but for the sake of transparency we felt we should give you all a lil notice since we love ya'.

We're going to take it down and re-upload it  tomorrow.

Announcements! New Region Locked! A Book!?

Hey guys, Dazz here!

So we have a few things to mention today, but we'll start with the one which will directly affect you guys the most. August will be a quiet month from us in regards to Patreon - Greg, Matt and I plan to take a short break during the month, and will be unable to create the normal Patron segments at the end of our videos.

I know this might be upsetting for you guys, but hopefully you'll understand that we've not taken a break from the channel for more than 2 days in a few years now. There will still be content going out in this time, with voice work provided by guests - these are already being produced and will fill in for the month.

We also want to tell you guys about our new book which we are producing for Region Locked! We'll be putting the piece together over the next year assuming that we reach our target. It'll have pieces on a whole bunch of region exclusive titles, and so to celebrate, we've just put the finishing touches on our longest episode of the show yet.

We decided to talk about a game we know that everybody has been asking us to cover - Mother 3!

Thank you for your overwhelming support so far, you have no idea how much it means to us.

Trivia Partisan

$5 or more per month

Your name will be included in a written list of supporters at the end of each DYKG extra or Region Locked video. 

Trivia Connoisseur

$10 or more per month

Have  your name read out at the end of DYKG extra or Region Locked videos at  least once a month. When not spoken, your name will be included in the  list of supporters featured at the end instead. 

Trivia Aficionado

$25 or more per month

Have your name read out at the end of every DYKG extra and Region Locked video. 

Trivia Don

$35 or more per month

Choose a game or piece of trivia to be covered in an episode of DYKG extra, or  a game to be featured on Region Locked. Your name will also be read out at the end of every video.

Patron Read-outs - Give us your thoughts!

Hey guys,

We've had a crazy amount of love and support from you all on Patreon, to the point that we broke our expectations pretty quickly. We've already sold out of our pre-allocated 30 slots on having your name read at the end of videos, and in fact have done so for a while. In order to keep these sections interesting, varied and to please the people who have complained that they want to back us but can't get the reward, we're thinking of ways to (fairly) change this reward so that more people can get in on the fun.

As you've probably seen, our Patreon readouts are getting kinda long - sometimes 2 minutes long. We're thinking that it might be a good idea to do read-outs spread across the month, or every 2 weeks. We obviously love the support you guys have given and your feedback, so we want to be open with you all about it and see what you say.

Your names will of course still be included in the video, but won't be read every week. We would divide the readings depending on how many people decide to back at this tier, and anyone above the read-out tier would be read in every video still.
