Road to Alpha 1! (Blog #2)

hey guys welcome to wednesdays blog update!

I HAVE DREADFUL NEWS D:
Since Sunday, I wasn't as productive as I thought I'd be... across Monday and Tuesday I was just finishing up what I set out for myself on Sunday. To my credit, I haven't done facial animations for almost half a year, so I did have to relearn a bit how they work for Futabanana. It is also a bit of a lengthy process, every different expression has to have an alternate blink phase, a closed mouth, slightly open mouth, and wide open mouth... as well as different jaw movement animation frames depending on how FAT they double chin is.

I also made it a bit harder on myself by giving her extra faces (see bottom right)

I am happy with how the faces came out, but YES I am still REELING with how long this took... At this rate, I need to spend Thursday working 20 hours straight.

Wait a minute

BOOM!

Tomorrow in the Fatsona server, big metrack is gonna be streaming king gizzard and the lizard wizard's whole massive ass discography (including the as of now unreleased Phantom Island), and working all the while. It may not be the most fun or engaging event I've hosted, but if you're looking for some background music to play all day while you do whatever you gotta do- look no further.

I'm gonna be working on various different Fatsona things, I still have to make another Character's render for Futaba's story, and also draw Chihaya's other chickens. I suspect these wont take the full 20 hours, so I might also work on some menu screens that aren't quite done yet.

Speaking of the Fatsona server, I posted a big fat futaba final render tummy in the #spoilers channel. Here's a picture of a sand dune.

Agenda for today: give Nym a facelift. Past Thursday, I gotta get on the writing thats still incomplete. I also gotta find a new voice actress for Bathyal, and send in new lines to Nym's. Waiting on work from others might be kinda time sensitive so I gotta judge what's needed for the build before going in widdit.

Road to Alpha 1! (Blog #1)

Hey guys, I figured I'd start making some blog posts about the update as I work to finish it this month. I plan on putting out a new blog every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday, until the update is out. It is going to be kinda off the cuff and not professional, but I think it's time to start revving up the motors on the update and also clue you guys in on where I'm at and what's going on.

The tentative deadline for this update is June 21st, since I am leaving for a week after that point it makes sense to me for that to be the date. I don't have a good history with deadlines though, so I won't be saying for sure that's the release date... yet. I think a week before that point I'll be able to say for certain. There's still quite a bit of work to do, but a lot has happened recently.

Towards the midpoint of last month, I realized I was putting a lot of flashy and exciting features into the gameplay sections of the game. I spent the remainder of May working on brand new ideas to spice up and glorify the story parts of the game. I don't really want to spoil what I came up with, but it's looking amazing and is about done. While it is cutting it close adding such a massive feature so late in the development cycle I think it was really worth it, and it will probably be some of the most memorable parts of the game.

Coming off the heels of this, pretty much the name of the game is finishing up what I had before I went sicko mode with new ideas. Today, I will be finally finishing Futaba's 5th weight gain render (she is ludicrously fat) and also getting her expression animations down. Monday and Tuesday I plan on doing some more social event related visuals, such as more of Chihaya's chickens, and also another character render for one of the girl's stories. I'll update you guys on Wednesday with how that's all come along!

For the rest of the build, there is a lot of assembly still required. SO many assets and features are either not implemented yet or are like 90% implemented... and both need to be 100%. While this will go pretty quickly in comparison to making new stuff entirely, It's pretty hard to judge when the right time to do this will be. Especially with things like sound effects where it can get pretty exhausting to trial over and over again, I don't know if I should start assembling everything and making it all tidy and player-ready before I finish with all the other aspects of the build. It might be wise to save it for last, but it might also be putting too much in the queue for the final stretch. Idk kinda thinking out loud here lol

There is also some more writing I have to do for the build, I'm going to be rewriting good portions of Haru's story and revising Ann's story a little bit. I also have to edit each story to include the awesome new hotness I mentioned earlier in this blogpost... blegh. Futaba's story also is incomplete... scary! Luckily I found a good method for writing last month, and I think either later this week or next week will be entirely dedicated to writing. One of the benefits of this being my job (and it also being fun as hell!) is that I can kinda push myself to do bullshit hours and be very productive when the time comes... lol

Ok anyways thats my first blog and kinda where everything is at!! As the blogs go on I'll give updates about each of these aspects and talk about whats been worked on and maybe I'll even start sharing new snippets of the build in here. Once again, I plan on putting out a new blog every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday until the update is out, which is hopefully June 21st or sooner. Sorry for the inactivity on the page, but I swear up and down left and right that Fatsona will be cool enough to be worth it. Thank you guys for all the support, It means so much to me. -Metrack

Patreon Update :D (Sketch comms... oh yeah baby)

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

I'm introducing an awesome and exciting new benefit for the top patreon tier: sketch commissions!

this will work a little like the way I did commissions before, every payment to the tier will equal 1 month of patronage, and you can either claim 1 month to get a Quick Sketch commission, or claim 2 months to get a Shaded Sketch commission!

I am limiting the tier and raising the price a little bit to accommodate this addition, but I'm excited to get to work with you guys on some lovely fat ladies again :D

the focus of this page will still remain on project development for the time being, so I have tried to orient this benefit in such a way where it doesn't become too much. I think there is some room for expansion, such as different ways to have the comms done, or more members in the tier... but I want to err on the side of caution here

I've also updated the existing tier benefits to be more accurate to how it's been operating. I've axed request polls, since they haven't been run at all this year, and they tend to be pretty frustrating for most people submitting characters. In addition to updating the descriptions, I've also given each tier a new name:

• Project Supporter ---> Project Accomplice

• MEGA METRACK MEAL ---> METRACK MANIAC

Sketch Comms! (Information + Guidelines)

I am now offering Sketch Commissions via the $50 METRACK MANIAC tier!
Below, you can get information on how this works, and also guidelines for commissions.

Every payment to the tier will count as 1 Month of patronage. Think of this as a token you get every month, and that you can cash in for the different Sketch Commissions.

Claim with 1 Month = Quick Sketch
Claim with 2 Months = Shaded Sketch

After claiming, you will go back to 1 Month of patronage the next billing cycle, if you stay pledged. You can store up to 2 Months of patronage, but any more will go to waste. If you pledge annually, you will get 1 Month of patronage the date you pledge, and another one month from that day, repeating through the whole year.

It is up to you to claim your commissions!

How to claim commissions:

1. On the 1st of every month, I will create a "Claim Commission" post on Patreon. These posts will be active for the entire month, so you may have to go back to check on it whenever the billing cycles. Say which kind of Sketch Commission you're claiming, and submit your commission in the comments!

2. Direct message me on Discord (My username is "metrack") and let me know your Patreon username if I don't already know it. Say which kind of Sketch Commission you're claiming, and submit your commission directly to me!

I vastly prefer using Discord's direct messaging, but you can also claim via Patreon's direct messaging, if you so choose.

Commission Guidelines:

I reserve the right to deny commissions, but if you follow these guidelines, you should be golden!

• No lolita or young-appearance characters  
• No males (no femboys or futanari either)  
• No IRL (models, actors, ect.)
• No fetishes I haven't drawn before (blueberry, vore, etc.)
• Nothing too explicit or intense
• Please keep it related to BBW/ Weight Gain, unless prior discussion is had

Important Considerations:

• If you would like dialogue on the drawing, please either provide the dialogue or be detailed enough in the initial commission that I can fill it in myself easily.

• Keep in mind this is a Sketch Commission when coming up with your commission idea! Try to focus on a character, since complicated backgrounds won't be drawn.

• Reference images are very much appreciated, and are required when getting an OC commissioned.

• I can't offer multiple characters in one pic with this system unfortunately

• I will not go back and render quick sketch commissions, as this does require quite a bit extra work than just doing everything in one go

• I will not make big revisions to sketches once they are done. If it is a very easy fix, then I will try to, but try to be as clear in the initial commission so I get everything right the first time!

• I can draw lots of sizes, but I struggle with blobby sizes.

• Character's I've drawn frequently will be easier for me to draw, so the final product might come out better :p

• For any number of reasons, some commissions might take longer than others. You can claim multiple commissions on top of one another if it comes to that, but please express patience if it ever happens that I fall behind.

I originally had a 5 paragraph developer reflection about the futaba teaser video and like generally working on fatsona in here, but I accidentally backed out of the page and the draft didn't save :c

Damn. I don't really know what to do now, I don't think it's worth replicating that kinda off the cuff dialogue cuz then its like rehearsed and more clunky/less real

I guess all I'll say is that the futaba teaser is coming soon and I just hope the bigger stuff I prepare is worth it and makes some people's days better whenever they do come out. and I'm also sorry that it likely won't be done this month, but it really is in asap mode

Getting Kinda Fat

"My belly is showing..."

Naoto thinks to herself while examining her current predicament. The once loose-fitting button up is now undoubtedly ill-fitting.

"At this rate, I'm gonna burst out of this, is my shirt shrinking in the wash?"

The buttons strain against her burgeoning midsection as she grabs at her tummy, giving it a light jiggle.

"Or maybe I'm just...

She holds on the thought for a second, as if handling sensitive information, before finishing it with a sigh;

Being regarded highly in the office has it's perks. After solving such an enigmatic case as the one in Inaba all those years ago, nobody would give Naoto a hard time for taking time at her own leisure.

The work horse that she is, typically Naoto wouldn't be using this respect to it's fullest. At least, until recently. It turns out that another one of those perks is readily available treats in the break room.

After a rather high-calorie break, Naoto went to return to her post so she cou-

POP - POP - POP

The buttons flew off her bloated figure one after another, her bosom and engorged tummy breaking out of their confines and exposing themselves to the world.

"N-no way! My shirt!!"

Naoto quickly grew flustered, and her mind raced in her astonishment.

"I can't believe this, how did the shirt shrink so much?!"

Looking at her massive belly, she quickly realizes that her deduction skills have been initially mistaken...

"No, what am I thinking? I'm definitely...

-getting kinda fat"

After an event like that, Naoto definitely grew more wise to her weight gain, even if parts of it were still a bit unbelievable to her.

While she was extremely grateful to have been alone in that break room, there was a surreal element to what happened. Had she really gotten fat enough to burst out of her shirts?

She'd always been thin, and had never expected to find herself putting on so much weight. Regardless, she knew she had to buy new clothes for herself, to avoid a situation like that happening again.

As Naoto would learn, simply becoming aware of her weight gain did not lead to it ending.

"C-come on!"

Naoto struggled against her old jeans, her meaty thighs refusing to let the small pants creep up whatsoever.

Realizing the endeavor was fruitless, Naoto sat down defeated. Her old jeans hugged her chunky legs tightly as she examined herself in the mirror.

"Looks like these jeans are done for, too... I-I'm running out of stuff that fits me..."

There was no need to search for the truth, as it was staring her right in the face. It was sitting in her lap, it was forming rolls at her side, it was making all her old clothes too tight...

"There's just no denying it, Naoto. You're...

-getting kinda fat"

No matter how much she thought she'd put a pin on it, there was an element to her weight gain she could never fully understand.

She realized she was getting fat, she realized that she was already considered fat, and she even understood that her habits would only lead to her getting fatter...

Yet, like a great mystery, there was something she couldn't get. Perhaps it was just the surreal pace at which she doubled her weight?

Regardless, the investigative part of her had her curiosity peaked, and almost instinctually she got to sleuthing.

What she would discover was a forgotten pair of pants in the very depths of her storage. She used to wear pants like this all the time, enjoying the fact that they were extremely loose and stretchy.

In fact, this particular pair was only so disregarded because she had gotten it at too large of a size, not being able to tighten the straps in the front to fit her once thinner waist.

For one reason or another, she had held onto it all this time, and Naoto believed she had found a suitable trial for her curiosity. Had she gotten too big for even these?

Going off the memory of these being inconceivably large, she initially doubted she'd grown too big for them... Until she quickly found resistance as she pulled them on.

Jumping up and down, her hefty body was sent jiggling like a bowl of gelatin. The pants, practically glued to her backside, did slowly creep up higher and higher as she pulled.

However, the pants met their match at the middle of her cheeks. Naoto struggled against the waistband some more, only to find the victory her ass had on the pants was an indisputable one.

"E-even these pants don't fit me anymore?"

Aside from her bras and undergarments, Naoto realized that this was the last of her old clothes that she had outgrown. She had become fat enough to completely outgrow even the largest her old wardrobe had to offer.

Still futilely holding onto the waistband, she realized just how much her own hands were sinking into her plush backside.

"God, even my ass is...

Naoto started becoming aware of very promising leads to resolving her understanding.

Her weight gain was undeniable, there was no longer any dissonance with the mere concept of her sporting a large, hefty body. Yet still, there remained that aspect which pinched at her mind, telling her she wasn't getting the full picture yet.

But she was starting to pick up on clues. And as stated, she believed they were extremely promising:

She found herself dreaming that she was thin once again, only to eat so much in the dream that she'd end up as heavy as she now found herself, and often even beyond.

She found herself checking her weight almost daily, despite never committing herself to be on a diet.

She found herself looking forward to the frankly insane amounts of food she'd have delivered to her home each night.

And most promising of all, she found herself to get noticeably hot under the hood when others would comment on her weight.

Still, these were just clues. But, it was enough to mount a case.

Naoto issued a search warrant for her wardrobe, digging up both the bra and the panties she had worn on so many of the key days in the investigation.

"I'm so ashamed..."

Even though the undergarments went on, calling her decent would be a stretch. Her massive body laid almost entirely bare, every soft contour being easily traceable.

"I look like such a pig..."

The panties she had slipped on could no longer take the extreme widths they were being stretched to, and they snapped. Given the extreme strain on her bra, it was only a matter of seconds before that gave out as well. With this development came a new clue; Naoto found her heart racing.

"I-I've outgrown all my clothes, yet even still..."

It was time for the moment any great investigator waits for, a confession.

"I think I might like...
