Fell Trail

Whether your party is caught in a spooky moment or making their way through Barovia, this Shadowfell trail map should sett the scene nicely.

This map is best suited when the party is being hunted by dark creatures, werewolves, vampires, ghouls, baba yagas. They can go for the high ground off the trail and risk more baddies taking advantage of the trees to thier backs or stay on the trail and risk being surrounded.

Patrons on the discord have chosen the next map to be an Arctic themed one! I'm looking for to it so stay tuned!

Fell Trail

Tags and Collections update!

Hey everyone since Patreon has added the collections feature I will be changing the way I post maps to make them more accessible with this feature so you can quickly sort to the type you need.

However, there's still plenty of map that haven't been added into them. This is mainy due to the way I added multiple variants in to a single post which would now be separated by collection.  To fix this, some older maps will be reposted individually.

Tags are are still good though! All maps should be tagged appropriately, so feel free to continue to sort by tag if that's your preference!

Ancient Forest

A new setting! Well, I had yet to make any maps specifically suited for the mega forests featuring the monumental trees that the Wood Elves call home. This is the first of those maps.  As your party enters the woodland realm their trek will become increasingly dominated by these living giants. I really enjoyed making this one and found it so satisfying to putt color to!

This encounter setting includes some ground space surrounded by many perches in the limbs above to make the action dynamic. This settings is a large boreal rainforest with oversized logs, beehives, ferns, and tree fungi. At night the tree fungi glow faintly and the fireflies come out to make for a magical feel. Who wouldn't want to hike through such a place?!

Ancient Forest 

Fey Ponds

This time I'm back with a Feywild map by request of an awesome patron!. It's been a while since I have done any fey maps so it was fun to get into this one. This map also served to test out some assets I will be releasing soon to populate you Feywild settings! 

This map features some tranquil ponds in the fey wilderness surrounded by surreal oversized flowers, lilies, and magic rune stones. All my Feywild maps are set to a soft dawn/dusk light which keeps the theme and accentuates the bioluminescence of some of the flowers and creatures!

Use this setting for your party's encounter ensure they are cautious of the suspiciously inviting ponds. The Feywild is one of my all-time favorite Dungeons and Dragons settings because groups are often caught of guard the more beautiful, generally means, the deadlier it is! A good rule of thumb to keep in mind as your group journeys through their adventure in this bewildering landscape!

Another spoopy Shadowfell map. This one was a custom request and fun to do. Should make for a fun encounter setting if you are running a fall, Halloween, or Shadowfell adventure!  This abandoned windmill sits atop a hill and it ominously watches over the nearby village. Who knows what has crept inside to make itself home? Have your rpg party investigate.

Here's a fun Shadowfell map. It's been a while since I had done one and I want to test out a couple of new assets! Only a few clues reveal this area as once having been a thriving crossroad. Beware the blighted areas! I like the idea of having tendrils of blight reaching/growing forth from the dead objects. You can use them as obstacles in your encounter if you want.

Here's a fun Underdarkmap. The Underdark is by far my favorite setting in all of Dungeons and Dragons and the Forgotten Realms. I'm looking forward to mapping and exploring it as well as the denizens who call it home. Included in this pack is a spider den variant as well as a mushroom grove variant!

The best thing about raptors is they can be hiding anywhere, ready to strike! Finding one adapted to a particular area can make it especially deadly. So I've included 5 more variants as promised, so your party can fight, tame, and train these beasts in a range of locations. 

Whether using them for raptors or some other creature I think these maps will provide lots of fun. especially for those one-shots where you wanna bring the dragons out of the dungeon to let your gang try their luck.

Streamside Fest - Day 

Raptor Paddock

After watching the latest installment in the Jurassic Park series, I thought it would be cool to have a battlemap similar to the Raptor Paddock used to train the raptors in the Jurassic World Movies.

The great thing is the versatility of uses for this map! Cat walks to allow vertical component for those ranged characters, as well as plenty of things to hide behind for the sneaky types. Put whatever monsters you like in the paddock or use it as a free for all arena! I'll work on an arctic and temperate forest variants as well.

Here are some fun variants to play with to help match any bridge encounters that might happen year-round. With the winter variant, your group has to deal with slippery conditions on the bridge itself and the frigid waters beneath it. I think the broken version of the winter bridge is likely the most treacherous. However, there are some ice sheets long the banks to provide some daring combat real estate as well.

Suspension Bridge - Fall, Winter

Guess what everyone, I'm back to drawing maps! The first one out the gate is this suspension bridge. Bridge encounters are always pretty fun. I made the expanse long enough to provide an obstacle for our ranged pcs who'd like nothing more than target practice. There's a large stone tower that provides cover as well as a vertical element to this map. Crafty players with high dex would probably be itching to run up those support cables.  

Say the bridge height is pretty high, or the current is deadly to raise the stakes. Maybe there's a giant river monster that wants to tear apart the only access to a city and your group must defend the bridge. I've included some damaged versions for added fun.

Suspension Bridge - Day, Night 

Status Update

Hey everyone I hope you are settling into the new year well. I just wanted to give a status update...I'm currently away from home, visiting California for a full time graduate program until the summer and honestly its taking a lot of my time. My interaction with our awesome community may be less in the meantime and I'll probably be unusually quiet on the Discord.
Unfortunately I won't have time to play any games of my own but I do intend to keep publishing maps.

Dragon Lair - Black, Blue, Red

Continuing the dragon lair series...Here are lairs for the Black, Blue, and Red Dragons to round out the main chromatic types.

I put an acid mote in a dark nasty setting for the Black Dragon should also work for an abyssal type creature lair.

The Blue Dragon makes their homes in the desert. The high winds and lack of humidity make for a perfect environment to gather static. The chasm of this lair crackles with electricity.

Classically our Red dragon has a hot lair where it sleeps next to a bubbling hot lava pool. The location could be atop a volcanic mountain or in Baator like Tiamat.

All of the lairs have a secondary entrance accessed by scaling the wall to the bottom left, and should you choose you could add a third entrance by saying the cavern's ceiling has a hole through which the dragon may fly in and out of at will.

Dragon Lair - Black, Blue, Red

Dungeons and Dragons need dragons, and dragons need lairs. Though these lairs are fairly system agnostic. One of the more useful and standard maps that I had yet to try my hand at.

I like the idea of a large fairly open cavern for dragons with narrow openings. I feel even the dumbest dragons (looking at you, white dragons) can figure the basic advantage this provides. However, that doesn't mean we make that open space plain and boring. How about we throw in a gaping chasm or mote to keep intruders at bay?

For the White Dragon Lair, I've added the icy mote. For the Green Dragon Lair, we have a putrid pond. To up the ante, you can always add an environmental effect for both lairs making them do small bits of cold or poison damage over time.

Pet Store Animals Pack 1

This pack contains a bunch of animals so you can bring that pet store to life. Better yet use them as the creatures your BBEG keeps as pets in his lair. I used these assets in the Pet Shop map. Now that all the assets I used in that map have been released time to more on to another store or setting.  There is the Dungeondraft file included, once loaded they will be tagged as "ANIMALS" in the Objects tab. 20+ assets. All of these assets are colorable as well!

I tried to make a more spooky variant for the Shadowfell, because I'm sure citizen's of every plane love to have some fun on the mountain. That said, The Feywild variant has creamy dreamy snow and the snowfall includes colorful flakes, which makes for an easy leap to candy mountain haha. 

The Infernal variant gives me Dante's Peak vibes. This is another situation where you can have people trapped by the sudden lava flows and need to escape before the situation worsens. Or perhaps, in Baator this is their idea of a fun ski slope?

However you run it these maps should make for some fun and unique adventures, I hope you enjoy them!

Here's an encounter map I haven't seen before. Lots of uses for this one. This map is a longer size allowing for a lot of movement and a lot of characters.

Perhaps there are skiers trapped at the top of the mountain by yetis or abominable snowpeople. Maybe your party needs to have a fun ski or sledding contest. I'd love to hear you plan to use these in your game.

I'm not sure how you use these but I imagine there will be some awesome adventures.

You thank a patron for this one! They made a special request for a pet shop map in our Discord server. This was pretty fun to make and laid the groundwork for some extra maps to come.

I have some asset packs used for this soon to be released as well as some cool variants for the spoopy holidays to come!

This map could easily serve as a fun sidequest where the party has to manage the shop for a bit while the owner is away. Or perhaps, they must investigate it for animal smuggling when thugs arrive to teach them a lesson. Imagine a battle where you aren't trying to hurt the critters or they are getting loose! There's a hidden room included in the loft.

You voted and Kraken was the winning token. I loved working on something that was specifically requested. I've made a specific variant to match each Reef Hole Map variant. Plus! I made a colorable token for those of you who use DungeonDraft! All variants are included in that pack and can be added to your map pack collection.

There was a bit of a delay as, yeah, I broke my arm cuz I'm clumsy. I'm back to drawing while still healing and have tons of ideas but I'm looking forward to prioritizing patron requests!

Verbeeg Lair - RoFM

Wanted to toss this map out finally. As many of you already know my home group is currently playing Rime of the Frostmaiden. Here  is the map used for the Verbeeg encounter. I won't say too much more so no to spoil it too much. We had a great time and we came close to TPK twice! We played using the Aurora variant. I feel that matches the theme very well for this campaign even though the other color shimmering lights aren't reflected here.

I have included 2 other variants a Day, and a more normal Night one. That way you can have more versatility with this map!

Verbeeg Lair - Day, Night, Aurora 

Reef Hole - Abyss, Psychedelic

These two variants are creepy in very different ways. The abyssal variant can work for the deep part of the ocean and you just want to creep out players. I like the idea of a giant haggard angler fish making its home here. Only instead of one dangly thing, it has 8 or ten and they do different things like a beholder! If someone stats this out hook me up! I will definitely use it in my campaign! haha.

The Psychedelia variant seems like a bad trip. To be honest I was thinking of doing a hellish variant but the more I thought of it a Hellish variant would have completely different reef shells it would be far more than a variant. playing around with color palettes brought me this weird feast for the eyes. Let me know about your session if you use it!

You know I had to! C'mon, How cool would a bioluminescent encounter be?!  As soon as I started working on the underwater stuff I knew I had to add this as a variant. It gives me old-school fuzzy poster vibes! 

Since it's summertime I've also added a Tropical variant. Should do nicely for all your pirates of the Caribbean campaigns. Imagine battling your way into this hole. Then the next chamber is a grotto with an air pocket. Boss fight? Treasure chest? Yus please! 

Don't worry whatever monster wins in the Poll will surely have a bioluminescent variation!
