Unfortunate update

My Macbook which I am forced to use due to it being the only screen that doesn't cause me migraines, as you guys know is broken only after a couple of months of having it. It broke literally the second I went to set up the stream on it's own and I took it to both Louis Rossman and Apple and it's going to be a long time before I can get it repaired by apple and the quote I was given for Louis is that it wouldn't be worth repairing as it was a micro fracture on one of the wires to the LCD or something that that. Not to mention apple might not even cover it in the first place. I bought it secondhand and I can try to open a dispute with paypal but there is not promises I'll get my $2250 back. Mind you, this seller had thousands of positive reviews and only 5 negative ones too so this is sheer unlucky-ness. 

I don't have the liquid funds at the moment to buy another laptop that has the specs I need to stream because I did not anticipate my new 2019 macbook to randomly break on me the second I go to stream for you guys. I got really really unlucky here. So I'm still trying to figure out what to do to give you guys content. 

For right now, I have an apple care appointment on Friday because they are BOOKED (I went on Monday). Even when they get it they're going to have to send it in and who knows how long that will take. As soon as I felt better 2020 strikes again. I really feel like there is a curse that is preventing me from streaming at this point, first I got to the hospital, take months to recover than my mac shits itself despite being from a good seller, and a 2019 computer that was practically new. It's really demotivating not to mention I'm not 100% healthy and STILL need to see a doctor and can't use my insurance (health sharing) for another month despite paying $400 a month.....so with that I'm you guys can understand why I don't have the liquid funds right now to buy another mac in the meantime. 

I really don't want to have to fundraise for a new laptop so I'm going to be borrowing someone else's mac for the meantime but it can barely run streamlabs OBS (the software I use to stream) without lagging so I have some concern with that, as well as having to reinstall EVERY add on and program I use to make videos and stream. I'm sure you guys can understand my frustration and why I might be depressed considering all of this, and I'm sorry I can't pump out content as we'd all like. I'll let you guys know what happens on Friday, but for now I can try to redo everything and see if I can just make a video instead, I'm not confident that this computer can run a stream because it was lagging in the preview of the stream in my test-run.

A change to streaming

Lately I'm finding it difficult to stream because it seems that no matter what I do I cannot shake the malicious, mentally ill obsessed people that try to make now not only my life but other people lives hell. I've come to the conclusion that one of the reasons this happens is because of my lax moderation in the past  which I had in an attempt for you guys to have fun. Creative freedom. However...

I've realized that it has caused these terrible people with no souls to feel encouraged to treat not only me but others in my community poorly. They sperg out, spam, and dox others even in this community. These things lead up to and for some HAVE ALREADY led up to my friends, ex bf, and viewers getting swatted (You can get KILLED getting Swatted) stalked, harassed, their families harassed, and their livelihoods put at risk.

 This isn't "Brittany can't take criticisms" This has turned into something very dangerous and life ruining to people that have been or are around me. They are not healthy critiques and they have the worst intentions. Some people because of personal vendetta because I do not WANT them in my life due to treating me poorly, violating my privacy and betraying my trust. 

They have got to go.

 I'm going to be cranking up my moderation in my streams and anywhere else I need to in order to keep these people out of my community. Some of these malicious people include people who have donated a lot in the past. I appreciate support however that doesn't entitle people to me, my life nor my community. I don't care how many more fake rumors they want to spread on their underground turd swirling forums. Donating will not save them. Harassing people in my community will not be tolerated and that includes dlive chat OFFLINE or online. 

I am writing this because I don't want to HEAR it when people start whining about bans on Dlive, blocks from streamlabs, and twitter happening for people with bad intentions. I used to hardly ever block people. This isn't a game it has gone too far and people are getting hurt (Not their feelings, but their actual LIVES and JOBS). 

I enjoy the chaos and it was fun in the past but I need to move on from that type of community. I can take the banter and have DONE SO for years but this is no longer able to be done between the Dlive TOS that I must abide by and people thinking it's okay to harass, stalk, dox, and put my community in danger. People shouldn't have to fear about participating in my community because of godless psychopaths. 

No more. I have had enough stress from this and a change must be made.

Now, as for Weaboo Wednesday, we're going to have to get some F's as we retire a great thing for a new one. Due to not streaming regularly on Wednesdays, I can no longer host Weaby Wednesday. However I now stream on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday so that makes room for..............OTAKU TUESDAY or as Emprah says, Otakuesday. I know Otaku isn't really a badge of honor in Japan but it is in America and some parts of Europe. It's catchy and explains that we will be playing your weaby video, talk about anime and other japanese stuff if we feel like it, every Tuesday.

Now for this cute gif I uploaded, this is the Vaquita porpoise. It is EXTREMELY endangered and projected to die out this year. This is our last chance to save them and I have been monitoring this situation and have been on edge about doing some fundraising for months. I was worried about ending up like the Ralph Retort when he did his Charity stream, he tried to give st.JUde thousands of dollars fundraised on stream. So what did they do? They spit in his face. He got a hitpiece written on him by WSJ saying that "Nazis" were trying to save cancer patients (How cruel and Nazi like of them!) so St. Jude refunded the money and said fuck it if a kid dies a kid dies. They denied 1 whole chemotherapy treatment of money because "OMG THEY RAYSIS" People are dying over this bullcrap now. Innocent people.

But I figured that so long as I kept group participation to a minimal on stream it would be okay to do a  fundraiser stream, coupled with the fact that I am now banned from streaming on Youtube ALREADY anyway. It should be okay. I'm hoping to save the Vaquitas because as everyday goes by we are losing more of this planets beauty. It would be an amazing accomplishment of our community to be able to take this shot in the dark to save a species nearing extinction. It's LITERALLY UP TO US. US. We have the choice to help save it. It's such a under-supported and unknown cause that nobody else talks about because they're too busy giving their money to charities with their noses up in the air as a kid dies on the floor. The charity stream will hopefully be on June 10th I need to make sure the charity I want to give it to is vetted and isn't going to pull a St. Jude. I already have some of my fellow women content creators helping me with the fundraiser such as this gif below, given to the event by hehesilly. 

Unrelated to streaming though:

HOLY SHIT THE NEW POKEMON I'M GONNA BING BING IN MY PANTIES! THE SHEEP POKEMON...Lulu was it? (Cute name!) Is very cute, as well as that cotton Pokemon! Yes I like the cotton pokemon, shocker. I'm getting and always planned on getting Pokemon sword and will DEFINITELY stream it when it comes out in November. I've followed Pokemon since I was 5 years old. That's how I became such an epic girl gamer today. I can't imagine all the awtist that didn't catch that sarcasm right there. I skipped Sun and Moon (played some of it) and the game after that but every game other than those I have played and completed in the main series so I am stoked to play again on the switch. The switch has design flaws but it's easy to transport and stream. I hope one day we get Pokemon Mystery dungeon on the switch but the og pixel because it was so cute and would be something different on the switch. Anyway this isn't a gaming newsletter this is a ME newsletter. This is me pea-sing out.
