23/10/2023 - The Decision

Hey guys, time for another development update for Twinewood. I've recently just finished doing a bunch of re-renders for episode 1 content and am deep into the writing for update 1.7 and I've realized it's going to be a big one. The updates scale combined with the fact I'm not going to have access to my computer for most of December has led me to realize it's unlikely I'll have the update out before the end of the year. I'm not big on the idea of such a big gap between new content so I had an idea to take a month to make a holiday special episode I could release before I move back home for christmas. If I did this 1.7 would obviously be further delayed so I'm going to put it to a vote to gauge what you guys would like the most. The vote will likely go live in about twelve hours.


A - Holiday special episode this year but later 1.7 release.


B - Full steam ahead on 1.7 but likely no update until January.

1.7 New waifu cards and UI

In update 1.7 In addition to episode 1 re-shoots I'm tackling re-doing the waifu cards. Above is the current WIP for the new UI. Hopefully this system will make the collectables a bit easier to manage with more displayed on each screen and warnings for optional content that could explain why you can't find a particular card.

Do stats add or take away from the game?

Just curious what you guys think of the current stat system in the game? (Perversity, Karma, ect.)

My intention with them is to let you kind of take your protagonist down either a lighter or more perverse path and add a bit of re-playability.  I've seen mixed reactions to them in practice and I'm wondering what you guys think about them? Should they be removed and perhaps replaced with an alternate system?

04/10/2023 Update 1.7 Plan

As of right now update 1.65a is available to download for free from my Itch.io page! It’s a little bit different from the version released to agent first class patrons a few days ago hence the a in the version number. Nothing major has changed, only a few dialogue adjustments really; however it does now include the first part of a long term project I've embarked on. Going forward each update will include a number of episode 1 re-renders. There’s a couple of pretty big graphical changes I’d like to make to Twinewood, but rather than spend the next three months exclusively working on remaking everything I’ve decided to take it a bit slower, working on it alongside new content, this way development won’t stagnate and I can keep working on adding new scenes to the game as well.

Below is the updated 1.65a changelog.

• Comprehensive dialogue upgrades/fixes for pre-existing content. I went through everything and changed a lot since I feel as though my writing has come a long way since starting Twinewood. I Ironed out inconsistencies and made way for the story changes behind the scenes.
• Brand new soundtrack
• UI updates and fixes (New episode selection, love interest bios, main menu, and text options.)
• Conclusion of Chloe’s roleplaying game event. (200+ new renders.)
• Beginning of episode 1 re-renders (44 renders.)
• 2 new waifu cards to collect.

Update 1.7 is going to be pretty large in scope containing likely around 500+ new renders of content. This will include the beginning of Kara/Maya’s storylines depending on your preferences. Since I’m back at Uni now I'm not making any estimations as to when the update will be ready but I’m pretty confident it will be before the end of the year.

25/09/23 - 1.65 Incoming

Only a quick post today since I'm hard at work preparing update 1.65 for launch this week! That's right, if all goes to plan and no sudden game breaking glitches emerge I should have the update available for Agent first class patrons by Friday! Below is the projected changelog.

12/09/2023 - Progress Update

So it’s now been a few weeks since update 1.6 dropped and I’m well into the development of update 1.65 so I figured it’s about time to give you all a little update on how development has been going.

As of a few days ago I’ve moved back to Uni which has been a bit of a nightmare honestly. Had a couple days without internet as I got everything at the new house set up and I didn’t even have a proper desk until this morning but now I’m all set up again and ready to go. In the meantime I’ve gone through the entirety of the episode 1 script and pretty comprehensively updated it to fix a couple consistency flaws and overall improve the quality of dialogue whilst fixing grammar. These changes in addition to updates to the rest of the dialogue in the game will be the bulk of update 1.65 alongside the conclusion of the roleplaying game stuff and some big UI changes.

I’ve also taken a bit of time to go through my plans for the story and incorporate a little bit of player feedback into which characters are going to be main love interests. This has led to a few changes to my plans for update 1.7. Below is my current list of planned primary love interests and a bit of info on their kinks/themes.

Chloe

Sarah - Her story is going to be closely linked with Megan's.

Lia - Can you teach this Grimoire about the modern world and maybe even finally get her to put on some pants? Or not.

Gaia - Tomboy, muscle girl gf.

Kara // Maya - Since futa is optional you will get the choice between which of these girls you want to pursue.

Robin - Sarah’s roommate. Goth girl. You will get the choice of what she has in her panties.

The student council president, Rin - Kuudere

There will be lots of other characters like Yuna and Fuuka who will appear in other scenes from time to time but these are the girls that will have the most content. To account for these changes you will now choose between Kara and Maya in update 1.7 instead of Kara and Penelope as I’ve quite significantly changed her role.

Overall however I’m hoping to have this update out before the end of the month!

28/08/2023 - Update 1.65 announcement.

Hey guys! Firstly I would just like to say a huge thank you to all you guys for the massive influx of supporters my project has received over the last week. It’s super encouraging to see so many people willing to part with their hard earned money to support the development of my game so from the bottom of my heart truly thank you all!

Now moving on to the meat of this update, today I’m announcing the next update, 1.65. Hopefully releasing before the end of September this version of the game will bring with it the completion of Chloe’s roleplaying game sequence and the spicy evening they have planned afterwards. The content will likely be a little shorter than the previous update hence its only 1.65 instead of 1.7 but it will pave the way for the next week at the academy in which we’ll see a big focus on the story arc that won the recent poll as well as a couple of other secrets not yet ready to be teased.

Additionally 1.65 will bring an overhaul to the recently introduced love interest bio screen, a large number of dialogue adjustments, fixes, and improvements across the pre-existing content and a brand new main menu screen as seen above.

Since I’m keeping the scope of this one fairly tame I should hopefully have it with you all fairly soon! For now stay pervy - Professional D.

Characters to focus the next update on post Chloe's d&d?

Hey guys! Now that update 1.6 is finally finished and I have the rest of the roleplaying game/Sunday evening events planned out I'm working out what to focus on in update 1.7. I figured I'd give you all a say in what comes first from the options bellow. All of plotlines will happen eventually, it's just a case of what people would like to see more first.

I've made a few small changes from the version released on patreon a few days ago including two new waifu cards so I'll now be taking that old version down. Hope you all enjoy and I can't wait to bring you all more.

19/08/2023 - 1.6 Release!

Here we finally are everybody! Update 1.6 is now available to download for my Agent first class patrons and will be available to download for free for everybody starting next tuesday. I’m super glad to finally get this out to you guys as it took much longer in the end than I would have liked. This summer has been a bit rough for me causing a bit of a slow down in dev time but that’s in the past now and it’s time to look forward!

1.6 Change Log

- New main love interest bio screen system.

- Countless episode 1 dialogue fixes/adjustments.

- Continuation of episode 2.  (500+ new renders.)

- Two new waifu cards to collect.

- Increase in episode 2 render quality. (Compression quality increased from 80% to 95%)

- Episode 1 and Nudesona bug fixes.

Here's to update 1.7 coming around a lot quicker eh. No promises though, knowing my luck I'm going to break arm again lol.

08/08/2023 - Chloe’s rpg extravaganza

Afternoon everybody! It’s been a little while so I thought I’d update you all on the progress with update 1.6. The writing for the last scene of the update is going really well and it's turning out to be the longest scene by far with two possible paths to take love interest wise as well as like three other romance scenes with familiar characters in fantasy style dress up. Since it’s so big it's gonna take a bit of time to get done but I’m quite confident the update will finally be ready within the next few weeks. I’ve also taken some time to go through episode 1 and re-write/adjust more dialogue to try and improve the games overall quality.

Below I’m going to list the current change log for 1.6. To give you all an idea of what’s in store for you all. This may change slightly upon release but if all goes to plan it should be pretty accurate.

22/07/2023 - 1.6 is going to be bigger.

Alright guys, as of last night I have finished the content I had planned for update 1.6 of Twinewood however during playtesting I concluded that there simply wasn’t enough there to warrant an entire update. (Only around 30 minutes of new content…) When I made the plan I had just adopted the mindset to try out smaller, more frequent updates and unfortunately right afterwards I broke my arm which had quite the impact on development. If it had only been two or three weeks since the last update I feel as though a 30 minute update would have been acceptable but it's been a while now so I want to deliver you guys something more meaningful.

I’ve decided to continue working on update 1.6 to get even more content in there before I release it. I’m dropping the smaller, faster update idea entirely and continuing on with development to give you guys something that's actually worth downloading and playing each update.

To be honest I have no idea when 1.6 will be ready now so I’m not going to try and give any estimates but rest assured it will be sooner rather than later now I'm back in full health. It should be meaty with 500+ new renders, at least an hour of playtime, and also finally time for MC to get some proper action.

Thank you all so much for your continued support! Making this game is a super fun hobby for me and I absolutely love being able to tell a fun, lewd story with no censorship. As a little bit of compensation I’ve included some artwork I made of my adorable nudist gnome D&D character, Lillin Deeznuts, the druid who rejected material possessions to go and do mushrooms in the woods with nature. I’m still learning digital art but I think she looks pretty good.

11/07/2023 - Not quite there yet.

Little update for you guys today as I continue to work on 1.6. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of my control I haven’t had enough time to get the update ready for the 14th as I had originally planned. The update is still one or two weeks of dev time away but rest assured, it's gonna be a good one.

In other news my arm is now basically fully healed with only minor aches and pains whenever I bend it too much. At this point it's barely impacting me so I’m back up to my full development capacity.

I still need another waifu card to include so feel free to leave suggestions for characters you’d like to see lewded in the comments below. Thank you all for your continued support!

30/06/2023 - Development of 1.6 Continues.

Hey guys! It’s been a little while so I figured I’d give you guys another dev log to tell you all what I’ve been up to with Twinewood.

Firstly, I just want to say I’m aware of a little bug where a futa scene is displayed in the non futa path right at the end of the nudesona episode and it’s already been fixed behind the scenes. Sorry about that! This and a couple of other minor dialogue fixes will all be sorted out in update 1.6.

In addition to these fixes I’m also going to add a new cheat for those with the VIP patreon code. You’ll now be able to unlock all the waifu cards without actually having to find them. I figured since in an upcoming update I want to add a proper reward for collecting them all, this is just a little bonus to make that easier to access for all my awesome supporters! I’ll also reiterate now, everything available with the VIP code will be free in the game's final update.

Now let's talk about 1.6's main content. As I’m still trying out the shorter update schedule it's going to likely contain around another hour or two of playtime, this time entirely focused on the main story. Episode 2 will have a bonus episode to unlock but that’s for a later update. In 1.6 you’ll be able to get to know Lia a little more as well as catch up with some of the characters from earlier on in episode 1, but the main meat of the update will be in Chloe’s roleplaying playtest. Heading back to Yuna’s store, the three of you will immerse yourselves in quite the fun little adventure. I’m not going to give too much away but like everything in Twinewood it’s gonna end up lewd lol.

Working has been a little difficult with my broken arm but it's slowly healing fortunately and things are looking up. If all goes to plan I should have the update with you all around the halfway point of next month! I’ll have more to share in the following weeks but that’s all from me for now.
