It’s been a wonderful day in the studio, and I’m excited to share an in progress mix with you!
I’m still tweaking some things, (especially the guitar EQ) but this is the first mix that felt close to what I hear in my head on this particular song, so I wanted to send it to you!

Hello Friends!
Posting this a day late! A lot of changes are happening here, which always means finding a new creative rhythm.
I’m very excited to say that Howard has agreed to mentor me through the mixing process! I’m looking forward to taking this big next step.
I’ll be postponing the Patron Only Show till next Tuesday the 19th so I have more time to work on songs for you guys and upgrading the audio setup!
I love you all! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Friends, not only did we make it home safe and sound, but we brought a new addition to the menagerie with us!
I’ve always wanted a little
beetle
back mandolin, so when I spied this bug at the True thrift store in Salida, I was thrilled to discover what great shape it was in! Made in 1891, we scored quite a deal.
I think it’s a she and I’m thinking of naming her Lady Bug… but time will tell. So far I know Bach and Vivaldi suit this bug very well, I’m excited to show you!
I’m also excited to say The Patron Only Show will be starting up again next Tuesday! I hope you know, I’ve missed you all immensely 🦉
And next week (likely on Monday) I’ll have an album update for you as well! So stay tuned 🌝
In the meantime, I’ll be catching up on your messages, practicing, and getting settled in here.

Well my friends.... I finished Willy O' Winsbury (butterflies and all) at long last!
I'm excited to share this rough mix with you, and also to say that I think I've found someone to mix the album!

Dear Parliament,
While I was sick this week, Case was hard at work building and installing acoustic panels in the studio. What a man 💔
They turned out beautiful, and the space sounds and feels a good deal cozier, which means I can start adding the finishing touches from my recording todo list late at night when the traffic dies down 🦉
I’m very excited to share a little photo album tour of the space with you!

I’ve had a wonderful family reunion with lots of scampering around the mountains, great conversations, and even a little horseback riding, which was a fun first!

Ok... rough mix is a bit of an over statement since the acoustic treatment for the studio hasn't arrived yet, and I haven't done any proper EQ or compression etc. But I've been so excited to share how things are coming along that I decided to make a bounce of what I've done so far on You Can't Have My Magic so you guys can hear the progress as it evolves.
Let me know what you think. Do you enjoy hearing a raw bounce like this, or would you rather hear something a little more finished? :)

I apologize for posting this so late!
Someone requested Wise Old Owl last week, so I think we'll start the set with that. Any other requests?
This may be the last live concert for a few weeks as we head to the ranch to start recording. However! I'm thinking it would be fun to go live and chat for a bit on Tuesday's and keep you updated on the album progress :)
