Older set of Claire in a hotel room. This might have been one of the first times I shot in a hotel room using natural light. This set was shot back in 2017 on an older Canon Mark 5 II i think. Found a few sets in my archive I thought I posted here but didn't.

quick video testing out the new blood with Domino. I just mocked up a quick eerie track to go along with it. Seems to be some banding issues with the quality, but I'm not worried about it, since its just a quick test.

I tried out True FX blood. They claimed easier cleanup, and a rich color. Easy clean up, yes, but it was pretty watery, and ended up being more like soap. The color was watered down, and we didn't get the nice thick layer buildups like the previous fake bloods I have been using. So kinda disappointed. Domino of course made the test shoot look great. She always takes beautiful pictures.
Most likely will be going back to the basic fake blood for future horror themed sets. Was hoping this would be a new product I could use for my Horror movie Im working on. More on that when Im ready to share.
Was testing out a new blood product with Domino, so we shot a few clean versions with her vampire teeth first before we dumped fake blood all over her.

Halfway through this set that I was using strobe lighting, the sun started to shine through the windows. So I switched over to natural light and managed to grab a few images before the sun went away again. I wish the whole set was with the natural light. The way the light shines through that window looks beautiful. I think the studio lighting turned out nice, but you just cant beat natural light for portraits.

Shooting a small group shoot with Lux, Bella, Becky and a new model along side my friend Holli and Taylor at the end of the month. We will be shooting a bunch of outdoor stuff. It’s my birthday weekend, so I wanted to do something fun.
Hoping to have something set up sooner as well, but not sure due to family stuff. I am also finishing up another Jaybird magazine. Just need one more set to finish it up and will post when it’s done. It’s been a slow month, with my Industrial album release just around the corner.

Just got in my copies of the art book for :10: / Horror Album. I have a hardcover version, but it costs too much since I am doing self publishing. Really happy with the way the soft covers came out. Blurb usually has decent print quality with the premium papers.

:10: is my industrial music project. I have been playing with electronic music for over 13 years now. I'm pretty proud of this release, as well as the art that goes with it. Took about 6 months or more to shoot and edit all of the artwork. 2 years on the music.

This set was created for my industrial music project :10: for the track Hiding on the upcoming Horror album release on 06.28/24.
These are the base images I used for the artwork which i will be sharing later for the Horror art book that goes along with the album.
In the morning, light shines through my basement windows and creates a cool water like reflection. We just happened to catch it on this set. Just shows it doesn't matter if you have a studio or not, Work with what you have and you can still create beautiful work.

Finally had the chance to shoot the last 2 sets. Yellow king, and Hiding. Thanks to Dalia for being available to shoot these last two concepts. along with a bunch of other beauty images I will be posting later this week.
Here are the concept shots followed by a few book spreads. I did black and white for the yellow king track, but later changed everything to yellows in post for the composite images. Yellow King track is loosely based off the yellow king from true detective season one. I created an idol of bones and a crown, which ended up being too big, but we used it anyway.
Hiding was created using a soft stretchy see through cloth I soaked in water, then had Dalia moving and stretching underneath it. one main light above her, and a simple ocean light set to orange color on the side. Turned out better than I thought they would, so I think we lucked out.
Once the book is shipped, I will be creating another post of the final project along with a digital download. I will have the book up for sale on blurb - June 28th once the album releases, but I don't expect many people to buy it, since the list price is $150. This is definitely the down side of self publishing - how expensive projects like this cost. But I love seeing all my work I put into something in physical printed form, so I don't mind buying one for myself.

Bella’s shoot went really well. I think we got a lot of really beautiful images. Ended up with 181 pictures. Not sure if I want to just break them up over the next few weeks, or just drop the entire set.

I took a break from photography for a bit. It felt like it was really difficult to set up shoots. Life and family was more important, so I decided to just relax for a month or two.
I’m shooting some more concept work for the :10: art book this week with possible portraits.
I’m trying to set up something with Bella again next week, and the following Saturday I’m heading outdoors for some work that I’m looking forward to. Might even get to shoot my true detective yellow king idea.
So, new work is coming as long as everything works out 🙃

These are a few poster designs I was working on for :10: / Horror album. Work on the book is getting closer, as I have only 2 more photo sets left to shoot for artwork. The track is titled Broken, so I wanted to try and visualize how one might feel in a depressed emotional state, slowly breaking apart from the inside.
