If you're wondering about the landscape in this we used a free tool called Earth Studios by google. Main trick is getting it to play nicely with After Effects since it uses a different co-ordinates system.

Also I've attached to previous animation's music as promised.

Pangolin

Hello all. It's been a long while making this particular animation. I've had the song kicking around for 2 years now and for the last few months I, along with my lovely twitch.tv community have been making this little fella. 

Big thanks to everyone involved especially Lini who draw the god-awful pangolins and Pokémon (purposefully so mind you). 

We also discovered Krita whilst making this and it's sort of an experiment to see how I can use that in my work. All characters were drawn using Krita and for free art software it's amazing. If you do art yourself I'd recommend giving it a look.

Huge thank you to all of you guys as well, without whom I wouldn't be able to take the time to explore what I can do.

There's a whole load of animators out there who are able to carry on and be supported thanks entirely to you. I say entirely because over the years, YouTube seems to have really enjoyed taking massive dumps on the indie animation community. 

To be fair they've dumped and are continuing to dump on pretty much all their creators who aren't major media companies... Almost like that's their desired base of content creators. I'm sure I'm being silly though. Silly me.

It's been an odd day. Just as I was finishing up working on this we got an email from the BBC about a show we pitched months ago. I'm somewhat excited.

Advent number 2

I am a menace to myself. Started making this and it looked like I could finish it in a day but then I started getting fancy with 3D sets and lights and rigs.

Oh well...

If you're not going to put the effort in then what is the point.

Heads up now. I do not want anyone to feel any pressure to support each and every video we upload this month. Please only give as little or as much as you wish and again, a huge thank you to each and every one of you.

In the new year I have a plan that I hope will be quite exciting for you all. I love making shorts but youtube really doesn't like that sort of thing. My idea is to upload each short for patrons only and then let you guys decide which ones go into a compilation every 2 months or so.

Oh hello,

It's been a while hasn't it? Did you miss me? Do you need a hug? Do you want this half-eaten Pot Noodle? I can't finish it after having a Christmas Tree shoved up my behind to make this new video for you.

Massive thank you for sticking around and still supporting our work. We are still making things but given how utterly terrible YouTube are I've mostly started streaming on Twitch. I imagine most of you know this but if you didn't then you totally should join us. 

We make things during the daytime stream and then we play games together in the evenings.

The Next Savlonic Video (VR)

Hello, hello!

So it's been a while but we're back and hopefully you'll be able to see why it's been so long. Here we have a 360 3D VR video for you before everyone else (This is a 60fps version which may never be shown to anyone else depending on the whims of YouTube's compression). If you've got a VR headset like Google Cardboard or fancier then slap your phone in that thing and give this a try for the full experience. 

This is actually my first attempt at a Unity project and all being well it will be released on Steam and possible elsewhere so it can be seen in it's true form.
