Used this as a Fectoid demishade after all! It's the second sterilization-themed Mortasheen after Streptile, but can also encourage microbes to grow.

Few people submitted questions, and a few, I decided, couldn't be adequately answered without spoilers!
The name is a bit of a stretch based on "Scholarly" but I couldn't think of anything better.
Well...I could, but I wanted to use it for something else later!
Now the only demishades left to do would be those for the Fectoid class, Ectosaur class, and maybe a generalized one for the Bioconstruct class.
A whole third monster this month! Scrabies is aesthetically based on a barnacle but not biologically a barnacle, and hopefully different enough from the existing Barnagoose.
I just had this design in my head for ages, and it didn't really fit as an update to the barnacle vampire, but it definitely had a Fectoid vibe to me, and is now the first new Fectoid since their debut.
Keeping with its arthropod inspiration, it's a Fectoid based on diseases transmitted by ticks and biting insects.
I have also gone back and added a "PERSONALITY" section to every other Fectoid!
This is all I could come up with for one! They say they have a texture like crunchy dead leaves, but I don't see a lot of fan art based on that.

Tricky to design! You can look at a hundred angles of a bucket orchid and it still takes a while for its anatomy to sink in.

I was commissioned to draw one of these cute and good things!

A remake of the older monster, "Dreary," which has been retired from Mortasheen for a few years now!

I took your responses to heart and incorporated multiple tentacle types.
I thought it looked nicer and cleaner if only one tentacle weapon were "deployed" in the main art, but there's bonus art in the description of the other varieties! Some painstem only have one type, others choose to have a mix.
This didn't come out too well, and really lopsided....I really got to learn how to draw decent fur.

Gallavant - bug/grass - Gallmaker Pokemon
Version Pokedexes:
It parasitically develops a hard shell from its host tree, and eventually breaks off. Its true body has never been seen.
The armor it grows from its home tree protects it from most predators, but it is easily cracked open by its natural foe, Forretress.
Here are some "mermaids" based on a tongue biter, flapjack octopus, stomatopod, glass sponge, and a pearlfish!

People who follow me on tumblr already saw this, but I may as well preserve it here as well!
I love the simple, pretty-yet-rough feel of official Yo Kai Watch art, so I attempted to recreate it by drawing two Yo-Kai in new poses.
On the left are the official, actual copyrighted illustrations of Negatibuzz and Roughraff. On the right are my drawings of them in poses I made up as I went along, attempting to capture a similar feel to the coloring, shading and line art. It's not perfect, but I think it got better by the second one.
Following the existing lineart of one of my own favorite Mortasheen monsters, it's a direct colorization rather than a redraw!

You can still use this space to ask any questions to be answered by Awful Hospital characters (I am still gathering enough for one big post) but you can ALSO ask me anything and everything you want, and get a 100% guaranteed response. It can be difficult for me to keep up with tumblr asks, and many people are shy about asking stuff on social media anyway.
Since you guys pay my rent every month, my attention is the very least I can give back! If you ask even 100 things I will try to get back to you with 100 answers!
$10+ patrons can request sketches or colored doodles! Anything at all! Fan pokemon! Reimaginings of cartoon characters! Speculative evolution! Even NSFW (within reason!)

Well, the bottom right is a Vampire class (which tend to more closely resemble natural animals) while the other three are arthropoids.
Since an adult Rhizocephalan barnacle is just a network flesh, I concentrated on the larval stage, which would molt most of its body to inject the parasitic tissue into a host!
Another boss I illustrated for the indie game, Crystal Catacombs!

I actually have a few more of these I never got around to sharing! Years ago I illustrated a bunch of vampires for a book project that never got off the ground, and if I'd drawn them today, they'd probably be quite a bit different, not to mention just drawn a whole lot nicer. I've learned SO much more about coloring since then!
The Churel is a vampiric being from southeast asia described as a hideous, blackened hag with a long tongue, pendulous breasts, and appendages twisted around backwards.
Another monster from my earliest coherent setting, which was just sort of an anything-goes sci-fi fantasy realm with no particular theme.
The Dissolvoid was a big, lumbering dungeon dweller, dopey and innocent looking, but you can guess by the name, by looking at it, and by a lot of my other monsters exactly how the Dissolvoid feeds.
I THINK that was the name of this, anyway. This was another monster I came up with in my early teens and intended to be an iconic, core creature of my setting.
These were floating, elongated skull-like creatures with sharp edges and barbed tongues, which attacked by swinging and whirling like a living sword. They could also warp in and out of reality and were associated with a time-shifting ancient ruin.
Wound up working this into a goofier drawing on my tumblr, too

This request was as follows:
" 10 million years from now, a human-descended activist and his-her-her ragtag group of friends and vaultmates launch a public awareness campaign to alert the solar system to an impending ecological disaster: an evil business-entity is poaching in the pristine, primordial environment of the North Dakota Garbadge Pile, said to be one of the last remaining patches of true wilderness on Earth. What local animal should they chose as the face/mascot of the campaign, and what would it look like? "
So, here's the rare and beloved Bifurcated Wormrat
