Hey everyone, hope you're enjoying your Christmas time!
This month’s exclusive is here - it’s an ambient piece I made one day playing with my tape recorder and minilogue. It’s dedicated to those precious five minutes in the morning when you hit snooze on your alarm :)
The sample/preset pack is on its way but will take a couple more days. I’ve been recording Roland TR-606 patterns through the SSL Big Six, SSL PureDrive, and a Tascam 244 cassette recorder to create some warm, distorted drum sounds and I’m loving the results, but there’s a ton of audio to sift through, trim, and edit to tempo - so bear with me!
Apologies for no stream this month, I’ll make sure you get more video content in January.
Thank you very much for your support this year - wishing you an amazing holiday season, and see you in 2025! <3
What’s up! Here’s last month’s pack for you - plus a half-hour video of me rambling about presets and saying 'basically' about a hundred times. Basically, it’s half an hour of me overexplaining everything, but there might be some useful tips and tricks :)
In this pack: - 14 Serum Presets (Basses, Pads, Stabs & more) - 2 Massive Presets - 13 weird textures & backgrounds made with Neutone FX VST
I think I’m done with Serum for a bit, so let me know which synth you’d like me to dive into next!

44 loops inspired by 7 iconic breaks:
Amen Brother
Think Break
Funky Drummer
Hot Pants
Cold Sweat
Son of Scorpio
Skull Snaps (It's a New Day)
15 Synplant patches , with each note representing a unique one-shot drum
600 one-shots total (all extracted from the loops)
Fascinated by the power of SynPlant 2, a plugin that uses AI algorithms to recreate a sample through simple synthesis, I decided to try and remake some classic breaks sampled from old funk records. The aim wasn’t to recreate them with 100% accuracy but to capture the essence of each break—keeping them somewhat recognisable—before twisting them through synthesis into something new and distinct.
After rounds of trial and error, I ended up with around 40 unique versions of 7 classic breaks, all included as WAV loops in this pack. Some are quite close to the originals, while others sound distinctly electronic and “unnatural,” resulting in a diverse set of sounds inspired by the classics but with their own unique—and sometimes weird—twist.
For those who’d like to play with the patches themselves, I’ve compiled 15 of the most interesting breaks into SynPlant patches , where each note represents a different drum shot. And if, like me, you prefer working with one-shots, I’ve extracted all the individual hits from the loops— 600 one-shots in total , giving you plenty to play with.
Huge thanks to all my Patrons for the support and for letting me spend my time on such a questionable project :)
Hope you enjoy!
Cheers,
Bop
As you may know, over the last couple of months, I’ve been using SynPlant 2 to recreate some classic breaks. The aim wasn’t to replicate them with 100% accuracy but rather to capture the essence of each break—keeping them somewhat recognisable—before twisting them into something new and distinct.
Here’s what I created using this technique: around 40 unique versions of 7 classic breaks, 600 one-shots extracted from the loops, and 15 SynPlant patches, in case you’d like to experiment with them yourself.
Huge thanks to all my Patrons for your support and for letting me spend time on such a questionable project :)
Yooo, see you online tomorrow (31 Oct) for another stream! This time, I’m thinking of making a tune using only ‘micro’-samples (tiny cuts) from music I grew up listening to. Expect plenty of cringy old russian gems and lots of chopping. As always, I'll be happy to answer your questions. See you in a bit
Twelve years ago, we released our preset pack for Loopmasters and filmed a live video, playing a couple of tunes made from those presets. We then made a little VIP version with a ‘modern’ (at the time) twist to drop at our events as an exclusive. Expect some cheesy melodies and big, snappy drums straight out of 2012 ⏳
This month’s exclusive is my flip of ‘YKOM’ by Mitekiss & Ruth Royall – another dive into blending drum & bass with UK garage. Shoutout to Jon Mitekiss and Dan Nu:Tone for the helping hand on this one.
Please welcome the latest 'Presets & Samples' Pack from last month (sorry again for the 2-day delay! 😅). In this pack, we've got:
12 break replicas of 2 classic breaks
175 one-shots (chops from the break replicas)
5 Serum Presets inspired by the classic Casio VL-Tone and tape sounds
15 samples from the Casio VL-Tone
Check out the video above for more details and have fun with the pack! I hope it sparks some creativity. And let me know in the comments which break I should replicate and twist next.
Sorry, no poll this time :'( but hopefully see you this Friday for my 17th stream! I plan to work on some sketches and try out some new plugins. As always, I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Heya, I've decided to re-record the track breakdown from the latest stream as it was lagging as hell. Any questions or requests - drop em in the comments,
Sorry for the delay with last month's pack, but it's finally here! I've made a video showing what's inside and discussing the presets (ignore the saw-wave sound on the left channel; I forgot to turn off the synth :3)
This pack includes:
5 sample-based Serum presets
10 drum loops/breakbeats
10 atmospheric hypnotic loops made with Microcosm
Any feedback or suggestions for the next pack are welcome! Hope you find it useful.
This month's exclusive is my unofficial remix of one of my favourite UKG tracks ever 'Cool Today' by Prescribe Da Vibe. Played this one in my sets for quite a while, happy to finally share it with you.
I'll prepare a track breakdown for you + should I finish the bootleg I started on the previous stream? Lmk. Of course, I'll be happy to answer your questions at any time during the stream.
In this pack, I continue my search for the perfect dub chord, sampling quirky lo-fi drum synth and modifying presets from the last stream. So, we have:
28 variations of dub techno loops made using the hardware unit 'Electrix Warp Factory Ultimate Vocoder', dry & wet versions
40 one-shot dub techno chords
40 one-shots sampled from my new little toy 'Metal Drum Synth'
5 presets: 2 distorted basses for Serum, 3 mellow synths for Massive
Enjoy and let me know your requests for the future content.
