Greetings everyone! Apologies for waiting until halfway through the month to address a formal update, but I’ve got a few things I’d like to talk about!
First of all, it is the beginning of a new year so it is a good point to start evaluating my workflow and output going forward.
In 2023 I drew a total of 155 comic pages for Patreon, which depending on your perspective is either a lot or a modest amount (depending on your workflow standards). The main thing for me was that in 2023 I started to take a different approach to comic making and instead of forcing myself to complete an entire story each month I opted to take longer to complete projects that needed it. It is because of this approach I was physically able to make comics with a higher quality standard than previous years like Backstage, just drawn across several months. I truly believe even going forward that a quality over quantity approach is worth investing in, so I don’t plan on changing much about how I handle month by month projects. That said, there are a few other things I would like to have the freedom to make outside the realm of digital comics.
Recently I’ve been dipping my toes into printed comics (as I’m sure EVERYONE is aware by now hehe) and absolutely want to continue to make more. The Movie Flick Chick Volume 1 release was actually a huge success for me, and it seems now that a few people are starting to actually receive their copies. It will take awhile before I have enough MFC comics to make a Volume 2 but don’t worry, I have a few other ideas in the forefront of my mind for more books. I’ve also learned a few things about running a preorder that will make my next one run just a bit smoother for me.
So because the first little bit of January has been mostly filled with me fulfilling book orders I’ve been thinking about what else I want to make this month. I’ve got a short little idea for another Movie Flick Chick comic featuring the new literature reviewer character I designed last November (I decided to go with the name Paige so her review name could be Page by Paige). After that however I feel like I want to do something completely different for next month. January for me is going to be a bit of a recharge month overall but I want to still draw a few fun things here and there. Overall the point right now is for me to allow myself to loosen up and experiment a bit.
Something else I plan to have up this month are the yearly feedback polls where I get a feel for what kinds of content you’d all like to see more of going forward! Expect those to go up tomorrow!
I think that covers it for now! This is meant to be a sort of general update to give you all a very general idea of what my plans for the year are. 2023 was overall a very good year for me creatively and I’m still pumped for what will happen in 2024. Here’s to big things down the line for everyone!

Just want to start by saying a huge final thanks to everyone who bought a copy of The Movie Flick Chick Volume 1! I’m sure if you’re reading this you have likely already received your personal shipping confirmation email, but as of today all of the packages have been sent out and are on their way!
All customers living in the US (which accounts for the vast majority) should expect around 2 weeks before they receive their book. International orders may vary, so unfortunately I can’t give an exact date but I did try and get the fastest reasonable shipping method for each of them.
I’m looking forward to everyone finally getting their books after what has felt like forever from my perspective! This is also my first time managing a pre-order and I have definitely learned a lot in the process. Next order of business for me; make enough Movie Flick Chick comics to fill a volume 2!

Additionally I'd mentioned previously that everyone who ordered during the initial pre-order phase would get something cool, so I've been making little zines of my old Scott Pilgrim comic earlier this week and I'm gonna pop them into the first orders until I run out (There's around 50 of them).
They're hand cut so apologies if yours is a little bit uneven on the cut but I am still doing some tests so I will have a good workflow and in the future, hopefully have some other physical zine-style books in the store!
Additionally, I've been signing a lot of book copies as well. I also mentioned as a little incentive to order early that I'd sign all books ordered by Christmas with a little sketch so if you did you'll get a custom little Nostalgia Critic or Angry Video Game Nerd doodle on the inside of your book.
Although, there might even be a very small amount of books with... a different character on them. Consider yourself lucky if you got one of these. It's kinda like catching a shiny Pokémon.
Anyways, books will be completely shipped later today! Huge shout out to everyone who grabbed one as well!
Damn these came very early! I don't think I've ever bought something that arrived 5 days early, especially during the holidays! I'm still gonna take a bit to send these out because I haven't even grabbed packaging yet and I have a little surprise I still want to put in with the orders that isn't quite ready yet, but it is sooooo nice to hold these in my hands. My crappy phone photographs don't do them justice, plus filming at night in a very orange tinted room really fucks the color up but I'll have more updates on the packages shortly!

Here’s the finished story! Hope you guys enjoy it! I finished this yesterday but have been tweaking the colors constantly like a crazy person. Maybe even to a point where most people except me would even notice.
I really like writing these characters so they will definitely return! After this comic I’ve been plotting out all kinds of new stories for them and I’m excited to write for them again!

Yo! Hope you all had a good holiday season and were able to hopefully get some rest.
I wanted to share my current progress on this month’s comic, as you can see it’s currently almost completely inked (I’ll be updating this thread with the final pages as soon as they’re finished, probably tomorrow as of posting this).
I know most people wouldn’t really notice in a porn comic but on this one I was really proud of a few of my backgrounds as well as all those closeup shots of garland around Lien’s neck! Some of them took forever lol.

I’ve already sent out an email blast to everyone who purchased a copy, but I’m just letting everyone know that the book is already in production and I’m expecting to receive them by at latest January 9th (In my experience with this printing company I often receive my packages earlier than the expected date, however with the holidays you never know what shipping delays could happen).
So because I received so many pre-orders I ended up increasing the original number of prints beyond my initial estimate. I never expected so many people to be on board with this project and I’m pumped to finally hold them in my hands for the first time!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am very happy (and somewhat anxious) to finally announce pre-orders are currently live for the Movie Flick Chick Volume 1 book! So here’s all the information that I have at the moment in regards to the book, and hopefully this answers any questions you might still have about it.
First and foremost, the reason I have started with a pre-order is actually because now that all the file requirements are completed, I still need to gauge exactly how many to print. It would be somewhat disasterous if I print too little or too many, for example. After thinking on it for a while the best option as far as I could see is to open up a pre-order window for a few days before determining my order number, them I’ll use that to determine how many to print total.
So, with that said I will have a pre-order grace window open from right now until the next 3 days and people can order as much as they like. After that I’ll send in the order and stock will likely become limited until a potential second printing, if that ever happens. So if I were to do that, the actual shipment date is looking to be around January 8th (that being the date in which the books arrive to me and I ship them directly to you! If you haven’t guessed already, I’m not getting these through a regular print on demand service or anything because I’m not sending any books out until I’ve personally quality checked them with my own eyes.
As a small incentive to drop a pre-order as well, I am willing to add a very small custom hand-drawn sketch free of charge inside every book ordered between now and Christmas. I also just might throw in a few extra surprises into each pre-order package as well… ;)

Hey everybody, happy December! I am a bit late in posting this update but I have a few new things to share with everyone!
First of all, the new comics for the Movie Flick Chick book are all completed! I have a current outline for the entire book and can share some details for you all now. The specifications for the book will be as follows;
- Size: 5.5 x 8.5 inches (This is actually the page size I have always used when drawing all my comics, it’s referred to as ‘digest size’ and it’s a little shorter than standard comic size.
- Page count: 112. This length nicely fits all the comic pages I would want to add and gives me around 13-14 additional pages for exclusive bonus stuff.
- PUR Binding (For those who don’t know this is like the standard book binding you often see for modern graphic novels and books. The pages are adhered together with a type of glue instead of using stitching or staples to bind together.
- Price: $17 USD (This wouldn’t include shipping obviously, as that would be it’s own factor depending on location). I am also going to be looking into some kind of preorder offer, like a little postcard sized sketch or something to add in as well.
Anyways, hope that all sound good to everyone! I’ve been wanting to bring this project to fruition for a very long time and with it already being December now I am so excited to finish everything. I still have a few more things to set up with the book and everything, including making a cover page and such, so there will still be some more updates here shortly but I feel confident making a public announcement very soon! Oh, and one last detail but I will be selling these books through my Gumroad store as well, since I believe at the moment that is probably my best avenue to do so.

As for what else to expect this month, I will be posting a poll tonight around what kind of comic you’d like to see me draw this month. I have a few holiday themed ideas, but you’ll see them shortly. I will also be doing a fanart poll as usual and lastly the Movie Flick Chick book AMA. I was looking into a way to gather questions anonymously like using a google form or something, but so far haven’t found anything ideal yet. I’m considering just making it like a regular post instead and people can comment on it? Hmmm.

Also, if you’re wondering what the heck card game they’re playing, it’s a Yu-Gi-Oh parody card game with almost identical rules and legally distinct names. There used to be a lot of these kind of things back in the day, I myself even used to have a few Pukemon cards. This Yu-Gi-Oh game specifically is not real though, unfortunately, and is only inspired by those cheesy parody products.
