2025/5/21 Major Update: New versions for type1 ~ type6 have been uploaded, resolving the issue where NPC models with the same IB would break when appearing on the same screen. All users who participated in testing have confirmed the fix was successful. This update also resolves the issue of missing shadows on some NPCs. With this, there are no longer any concerns when creating WW NPCs.
Note: WuWa has the same issue as HSR 3.2—when identical NPCs appear on screen, their poses are shared. However, since WuWa has a much larger variety of NPCs, the chances of the same one appearing multiple times in the same scene are significantly lower than in HSR, so I've decided to proceed with making them.
P.S. Until this issue is resolved, I’m honestly not interested in fixing regular HSR NPCs. Their NPC don’t support detailed skin tone adjustments. Combined with the very limited NPC variety, it’s highly likely to see duplicates on screen...
• This update affects nearly all NPCs — a full re-download is recommended. • Major changes: • Previously, almost all NPCs had incorrect or abnormal outlines. This was a side effect of compatibility adjustments for users with less than 6GB of VRAM. The outline issues have now been fixed for users with more than 6GB of VRAM, significantly improving overall quality. • For users with less than 6GB of VRAM, a Low.zip file has been provided in the [S] folder (if not present, the current mod doesn’t affect your setup). Extract and overwrite the existing .ini files in the folder to fix texture errors. However, note that this method results in reduced visual quality and retains the previously mentioned outline issue.
2025/5/25 Update: • Most NPCs now support low-end setups with less than 6GB of VRAM, though some remain unsupported. • Around 40 NPCs have had their body textures updated.
Added type48, type49, type50, and NPC Dina.............................................................
2/26Update Notes:
1.Additions:
Added three of Ellen's friends, the shop staff Coco, and the guitarist Sansa.
2.Fixes:
Fixed type3.
Fixed a facial issue for one of Ellen's friends. To apply the fix, you must download [Face Patch] and redownload [type9].
Summary: This update primarily adds several independent NPC mods and fixes a facial display issue for one NPC. Please download the following new files:
It seems that last time the post(Yinlin) was flagged due to uploading an .MP4 file, which may be unrelated to the images. Therefore, the preview images of unreviewed versions are now available again.
Hey, thanks for waiting. I’ve been busy recently investigating various issues with WW, and now that all of them are resolved, I’m resuming the MOD development as planned. However, due to requests from members, the release schedule has been adjusted:
Previous plan: Release all character MODs first, then complete the NPC MODs.
New plan: After releasing every 1–2 character MODs, I will update the NPC MODs, with 5 types updated each time.
As before, there will be one update every 5–7 days. Also, if GI/HSR/ZZZ introduce new characters during this period, the WW update schedule may be slightly delayed. Thank you all for your continued support.
This is a test release, freely available for everyone to download. It addresses the issue of shared poses on the same screen. If any issues arise, please report them to me so I can decide whether to apply this solution to all NPCs.
Going forward, image previews will no longer be available to non-paying members. Alternatively, only censored (mosaic) versions may be provided to non-paying members.
This month, I’ve already spent hundreds of hours researching WuWa and have gotten through the most difficult stage—thank you all for your support.
The image shows all the 5-star characters that are planned for release. Each of them is already about 30% complete. One MOD will be released every 5–7 days. After all character MODs are released, I’ll resume work on NPCs. New character releases will take priority and may affect the MOD release schedule.
Sora has created a more complete version, so this post will no longer be updated (for texture mods, one creator is enough, since you can easily swap in your preferred images). If needed, please download Sora’s mod instead.
A large wave of Wuwa mods will be released soon—consider this mod just an appetizer... Now that I’ve decided to enter this field, it means I’m confident in producing high-quality content. Thank you to all Supporter+ tier members for your continued support. Aside from a few 4-star characters and characters like Verina, mods will be made for all remaining characters!
All members, please reapply for access. Thank you.
To avoid encountering this issue in the future, I have upgraded the backend management system.
Please do not submit multiple applications in a short period or use different accounts to apply, as it may result in your email being blocked by my tool.
Hi everyone! From now on, I’ll be creating MODs for this game, and today I’m releasing the first batch of my WuWa MODs.
Before the next WuWa MOD is released, I still need to finish a few other tasks. Starting with the next WuWa MOD, these MODs will only be available under the Supporter+ tier. For details, please refer to the separate post titled “Adjustment Notice.”
The Variant Request service under the "Supporter+" tier is now fully discontinued. With the addition of WuWa (Wuthering Waves) MOD production, I can no longer manage this service while working on MODs for four different games.
After the release of the first WuWa MOD, all future WuWa MODs will be available exclusively to the "Supporter+" tier. The "Supporter" tier will continue to offer MODs for the three miHoYo games, while "Supporter+" will include WuWa MODs as well.
WuWa MOD production is expected to become stable starting in June (possibly sooner), as I need to complete the final batch of Variant Requests for current "Supporter+" members before then.
The monthly price for new "Supporter+" memberships will increase by $2. This is due to the higher overall complexity of creating WuWa MODs compared to those for miHoYo , combined with a smaller user base. I need additional support to dedicate the time and effort needed to produce high-quality MODs for a more niche audience. (Note: Existing "Supporter+" members will not be affected by this price change. For example, if your subscription began at $5/$6 per month, that price will remain unchanged as long as you stay subscribed.)
Changes to "Special Category" access eligibility: Previously, access required 60 consecutive days of membership. Starting May 1, 2025, access will require 30 consecutive days as a "Supporter+" member. (Supporter-tier members who meet the 60-day requirement before June 1, 2025, will still be eligible without needing to upgrade to "Supporter+," and this access will remain until they cancel.)
I’m planning to create MODs for this game. I’m currently working on the first MOD, but it’s not finished yet since there are still many things that haven’t been properly handled. The tools and production workflow are also completely different, so I’m doing my best to adapt. ...................................................
The chest physics for the characters in this game are seriously amazing!!😍
This is an abandoned, unfinished version — the weight painting wasn’t carefully refined, so it’s not suitable for a playable state. However, it’s fine for use as an NPC. Looking forward to the arrival of 2.0😀
As I mentioned earlier, all of my HSR MODs were likely to break in version 3.2 and couldn't be fixed using the script—and that’s exactly what happened🥶The reason the script couldn’t fix my MODs is because the configuration file format I used is different from the one generated by XXMI Tools. The generation format has now been adjusted to be fully consistent with XXMI’s MODs.
What’s fixed: All playable characters I’ve created have now been fixed — please re-download everything.
The following 11 characters are available under the Special Category tier:
Aventurine TS
Anaxa TS
Danheng TS
Mydei TS
Phainon TS
Sunday TS
Welt TS
Yanqing TS
Kafka (cosplay)
Big Tribbie (Lingsha cosplay)
Tribbie
All remaining characters are available under the Regular Tier. Note: Ruan Mei, Robin, Fugue, and Acheron are currently only provided as temporary, non-switchable versions — since these characters will be fully remade later.
