This wasn’t the first Star Trek themed work I’ve been commissioned to make, but it is certainly the largest! The scene here is Raptorzs’s characters taking part in a simulated test called the Kobayashi Maru. Both of them are responding quite differently to the results of their progress in the test XD
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Star Trek franchise, so making something like this was a really cool experience! All the effects such as the smoke, sparks, and damage were probably my favorite part to paint; along with the characters and their uniforms as well ^^

My good cheet boys :3 Here is Ti’maar (right) and Khay (left) spending some time together ^^ Not sure what Ti’maar is saying to Khay haha, but the hugs are adorable XD
This was a birthday gift to myself XD Took a lot longer to make than I expected, which makes me feel guilty because I have commissions to do… But maybe it was worth the effort and time haha. I love drawing my happy cats haha
I’ve talked about both of these characters in past drawings, so I won’t go into it too much here. Khay belongs to Ti’s twin brother Lue’maar, but Khay and Ti’maar are super close too. They are basically like brothers at this point haha. In case you are wondering about the size difference, Khay is on the smaller side for a Be’vaal cheetah, and Ti’maar is about as big as cheetahs get XD So they look quite a bit different despite both being in their mid 20s. They both Live in Ti’s father’s palace as well, and don’t usually bother wearing much or any clothes there because it’s private there and in a hot climate (My excuse to draw half naked cats for my birthday :P )

I had a lot of frustration with the colors this time :| They were super difficult and I hated them, felt like I failed actually! Then I tried some new things and was able to salvage it XD Now I’m actually pretty happy with the colors! Was probably worth the pain because now I have a new coloring technique to use with inked drawings ^^ I really liked my inking here though. Overall I’m really happy with this one! :D

A new character emerges! One that is quite important but I also rarely draw, because he isn't a cat :P It's Paladin Areco! The Paladin (like a prince) to the Wolf Alphas! Been trying to work more texture into my paintings, and again continuing with the realistic fur :) I'm loving the results of it! Very fluffy and adorable :D Really enjoyed working on this one, the atmosphere and emotion and all ^^ Very rarely do I draw tigers as well, I think this is my first color illustration with one! I don't do many modern environments either, but I really like how it turned out :D Ended up exactly as I envisioned it at the start haha (I love it when that happens!)

I had a great time creating this one :D Mainly because, for the first time in years, I attempted to not just focus on the lighting and colors but also on the textures! Finally, after being around for 5 years, Ti'maar finally gets a reference sheet! :D I've never made a ref sheet for any of my characters until now! I'm so excited to get this made, it has been long overdue :D Ti'maar is the main character in my current comics, and he is the character that has the most meaning to me out of all of mine ^^
Not much to say about this ref sheet, it is pretty self-explanatory XD It is very very detailed, in the text especially, so it is very large and high resolution haha. But I wanted to get it all on one file... It's probably a bit much, but it was made for me and it makes me happy, so who cares :P
The background was created to be a template, and will be used again for ref sheets of my other characters! I plan on doing one for Ti'maars identical twin Lue'maar and one for each of his parents, Ra'maar and Nika'maar (as they are important to the story). Also Khay and other important characters should get one! But considering all the work that these are, it will be slow progress __________

I love a lot about this painting :D From how the character turned out to the snowy background! ^^ I think it was my first time painting snow, and it sure was fun to do! This type of environment was out of my comfort zone, but well worth it! I always hoped that I would have the chance to do a commissioned artwork of one of fek's characters XD Really enjoyed working on Fekkri here :)
Super happy with the final result on this one! I've been making improvements with my painted style! So proud of the water in the background and the fur detail with the lighting :D Fekkri's smirk and eyes are quite adorable as well haha

This one was kind of another experiment, went from greyscale to color again instead of using lines and flat colors... and it was a mess XD Wasted a lot of time too. I ended up making it work, but that's the last time I start with greyscale for the foreseeable future!
I really love how it ended up, however :D Though maybe I refined it a bit too much in places? I'd consider this a sort of "double portrait", because the blurred background and all that XD First time trying that, but it won't be the last! _________

This painting is of their adventure-loving character named Neige :) Here Neige is in awe of the beautiful tropical coasts that she is visiting for the very first time, on her quest to join a ship crew! ^^ __________
This painting was so fun to do! Quite a bit out of my comfort zone, with the large ocean landscape and cool refreshing colors :) I love how it all came together in the end! I also really enjoyed drawing and rendering Neige's clothing and armor, and working on anatomy a bit different than the cats I usually draw!
Learned quite a bit here with painting leaves and vegetation too! And have already used those techniques on a few other works since this one :D Also was fun to work on another 21:9 aspect ratio painting! With large works like this it feels great! __________
