The last day of the month is normally where I like to post new releases. Unfortunately I'm still deep in writing Temptacia, so she's not ready yet. I did think about switching to get a new experimental 1.5 version out and have that be June's release, but that would mean cutting into the time that would be otherwise spent writing Temptacia, and I'd rather keep plugging away on her in my designated writing slot. This means I still have a couple of harlots left to properly test before I can put out a proper HoHH1.5 demo.
I think the mini-bosses are so big in word count they break my usual monthly release model. I think the best way to handle them going forward is to just put them out when they're done, so continue to expect the release schedule to be a little erratic for these.
Currently I'm still working out how to handle the HoHH1.5 demo release. While I changed my mind on rushing out an experimental version for the end of the month, I think I might still go ahead and put it out next week or the week after. It's not quite where I want it to be for a full public release, but it would probably help me a lot to have you all look it over first to catch anything I might have missed. This will be especially important for people playing on mobile devices.
Marwmellow has sent me the preliminary sketches for the next batch of harlots. There is one more batch to go after this and that will cover all 36 of the Tier 1 harlots. That will be when I want to put out a full public demo, but I think it will be good to let everyone here get a look at it first (with placeholder art for the missing harlots).
My plan is to switch everything over and discontinue the text-only version as soon as I've completed the first round of mini-bosses, so I want to make sure that switchover is smooth.
There are also some other things I need to have ready for a public demo release (mainly a proper title screen!) but I'll talk about that more next month.

My quest to actually get to the Elden Ring DLC is still ongoing, so my usual schedule is a little disrupted.
A couple of days later than normal, here is the harlot spotlight on Kanna bi Grafolita.
Kanna's is another filler harlot, in that she doesn't belong to any faction. She's another example of the problem when you create the harlots first and try to fit them to a faction afterwards. Some elements of her would suggest a fit for the sensuality faction, but her personality doesn't quite fit and neither do her mechanics. The slug girl, Veronicella, has similar problems. She's in that faction for now, but I can see myself moving her to factionless at some point.
I can't actually remember too much about where the idea came from. She is a nod to the hookah-smoking caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, but I can't remember why I decided to write her.
I did want to make her less predatory than my usual succs and monster girls, and so gave her more of a hippy flowerchild stoner personality. She's another harlot that doesn't really want to kill the player if she can avoid it.
Her mechanics are fairly straightforward – the player pretty much has to choose to Bad End, either by choosing to try her stronger stuff, or trying to struggle free from her body once her true form is revealed. She's another one where having a max value in a stat isn't always a good thing. With her scenario, having a high CON value makes it harder to get pleasantly stoned, which then opens up the Bad End choices. This makes her perfect for the Tier 1 bracket.
Kenkou Cross's Wonderwurm from his Monster Girl Encyclopedia wasn't an inspiration for Kanna, funnily enough. After I wrote her, I remembered he was using Alice in Wonderland as references for some of his designs and then went over to check what his take on the hookah caterpillar girl was. I then saw the wonderwurm and was a little envious I hadn't taken that approach. She does look very seductive and comfy.
I did flesh out some ideas for a similar caterpillar girl harlot, maybe one with links to Kanna. I ran out of space for her in the end, but the idea and notes are there in case I add new harlots later.
And for the in-universe lore.
There's not too much here. Within the House, Kanna is a placid stoner girl that keeps to herself. Lust daemons are more into the high of having sex (lots of it), so Kanna and her desire to just get stoned makes her a bit of an oddity.
The Elegant Woman has a little bit of fondness for her. As has been strongly hinted, The Elegant Woman specialises in sexy smoke magic, which the player will be able to experience firsthand when I finally get around to writing her scenario. They both share a love of smoke, of various types.
(Although I suspect The Elegant Woman would never deign to let herself get stoned. She's far too sophisticated for that!)
Is there a future butterfly form Kanna can morph into? Maybe. I don't know yet. That might be her final form, or her type of lust daemon might go through various metamorphosises. I've left that open for now.
Art is by Marwmellow and I think this might be one of my favourite harlot pieces he's done so far. She came out a little different to the hippy flowerchild I imagined, but I love the details on the robe and the hookah. It looks like a nice piece of fantasy art you'd find in a mainstream RPG book.
This is the last of the Tier 1 artificial beings - Chén, the foul-mouthed dancing mannequin.
This was a fairly difficult one for Marwmellow to do because of the intricacies of her clockwork-n-organ innards visible through her transparent chassis. Unfortunately, I overstressed the horror aspects of her organic heart and eyeballs and the first version was pure nightmare fuel. (It's also the better version, but sadly doesn't fit the character and erotic nature of the game.)
After this one I decided to meddle less and let the artist get on with it!
She's an odd one. Maybe not the best fit for an erotica game, but an interesting fantasy piece anyway.
The Harlot Spotlight is a day late this week. Elden Ring might have happened... ahem...
Last week I spoke about Suka no-Hirudo and how she might end up being a member of a new faction to be added in future. Now it's time to talk about a member of a rival faction to that prospective future faction. Acarina is one of the vamps, and the vamps and leeches do not get on.
Acarina is one of the rewrite scenarios. These are harlot scenarios featuring characters from previous short stories where the Bad End scene is pretty much a rewritten version of their sex scene from the story. This was supposedly to save time, although this is not always the case. Acarina's scenario was fairly straightforward. Both Nicolette's and Sister Squeeze's ended up being more troublesome and didn't really save all that much time in the end.
Acarina's scenario is a fairly straightforward death choice. If the player picks paizuri, they die. There are some illusory choices after going down that path, but they mostly determine how horrific the ending is (with this being another example where having a max value in a stat isn't always a good thing). This is perfect for a Tier 1 harlot – they need to be fairly straightforward and the good path fairly short and quick to allow the player to rush through them on subsequent playthroughs.
As the vamp faction isn't currently implemented, she's another filler harlot that can show up instead of a preferred faction choice.
And now for the lore stuff, which will touch on ideas for a possible vamp faction in general.
Vampires are a popular horror monster and when they show up, they tend to be at the upper end of power levels. Within my universe, I wanted to subvert that slightly. It also reflects one of the problems I have writing vamps in general. Hot vampire seductresses are a staple sexy femme fatale. However, once you're in more explicit erotica territory, where graphic depictions of sex are allowed and even expected, I find vamps tend to be supplanted by succubi. They do the same things, but better, as they're more explicitly focused on needing sex to drain energy, whereas the vamps just needs to lure prey close enough to fang them in the neck.
This is reflected in the in-universe lore. Vampires are regarded as malformed lust daemons, because the conduit for energy/soul transfer is through the blood rather than semen. The leeches and vamps have a fierce rivalry. The vamps think the leeches are primitive. The leeches think the vamps are a failed offshoot. The succubi regard both as primitive lust daemons.
This isn't to say either can't have powerful members, and they do, or will have if I get around to adding them as additional factions.
This is reflected in Acarina's scenario. The new material written for her is a regular sex scene, and she's intentionally written to be a bit of a crap lay. This highlights the vamps' status as inferior to regular succs. Acarina also wants the sex to be a bit crap as she wants to entice the man into choosing to receive her 'special' titwank instead. During paizuri, her skin bonds with the penis and allows her to pump the blood directly out of the prey's veins. As with most of the lust daemon vamps, she likes to make the prey come as the semen adds a nice flavour.
Most of the vamps have a specialised part of the body to use to drain blood. It serves to distinguish them as lust daemon vampires rather than traditional vampires (while they look like traditional vampires, they are still a type of lust daemon, hence sex has to be incorporated within the feeding process).
I also got to sneak in a nasty little seemingly throwaway line should the player bring Acarina her favoured gift of a vial of blood. "Like cradling a newborn baby to my bosom" has a much more disturbing connotation after experiencing her Bad End. I did like writing that.
The art is fairly straightforward for this one – vampire seductress with big boobs. As with Suka, I had Marwmellow draw a potential future faction symbol for her, should that be added at a future date.
This script also has a bonus compared to other harlot spotlights. Acarina was one of the harlots I selected to give limited repeat visit functionality. In Acarina's case, she'll be really insistent the player tries out her special titwank if he comes back to see her again. This isn't yet implemented, but the script alterations have already been done, so consider this a nice little preview on top of showcasing her art!

I'm currently working away on Temptacia's scenario. Her paizuri scene has been written and I'm most of the way through her blowjob scene. She will have five scenes in total (the other three being regular sex, anal, and feet). I'm hoping I'll have her ready by the end of the month, but these scenarios are pretty big, so I'll see how it goes. Progress on her seems to be going quite well, so I'm hopeful I'll have her ready.
The other thing I've been doing is testing all the 36 Tier 1 harlots for the HoHH version with art.
As well as testing I've been redoing some harlot hints and adding limited repeat visit functionality to some harlots where it makes sense. By limited I mean no additional scenes and just a few minor dialogue and text changes. However, I've been experimenting with adding additional hints on later harlots. This can be a 'reward' as such for revisiting a harlot in a run. It might be a good place to clearly state what charm a player needs for some of the trickier Tier 3 harlots.
The biggest chunk of work still to do there is Assphyxia's repeat scenario, as that is a bit more than a few dialogue tweaks.
My current plan is to focus on getting Temptacia done, then Assphyxia's repeat scenario for a proper HoHH1.5 demo.

Another week, another Harlot Spotlight. I think people have been waiting for this one for a while, so I hope the art delivers. So, without further ado, let's talk about Suka no-Hirudo.
Suka no-Hirudo is one of the earliest harlots. I think she might be the second or third scenario I wrote. Which only goes to show that initial idea of no more than 1-1.5K words per harlot went out of the window very quickly!
Her scenario is fairly straightforward. She doesn't really do any hidden stat checks or anything like that. She has one bad choice that's instant Game Over, but aside from that the player is only at risk if he stays long enough for Suka to try and suck out more semen than he actually has. That makes her perfect for an early round harlot.
She's also quite a popular harlot. I think only Boobella beat her in a big popularity poll I did a while back. I think it's a mix of her being quite vulnerable despite playing a dominatrix, her mechanics being about the player dooming themselves, and being able to give a good hard suck!
Back when I wrote Suka I think the initial plan was for seven factions, each loosely based around a sin. That changed when the smother faction started to emerge as a nicely defined fetish faction. I later dropped the planned number of factions from 7 to 5 when I realised how much larger the project was. I did have plans for a leech faction, but that was beaten to the spot by the artificial beings faction, which left Suka without a home.
She's currently one of the 'filler' independents. There are two types of independent harlots. The true independents are the harlots like Morticia and Succuba, which fulfil a gameplay purpose in the House. The second type are harlots I wrote before I'd bedded the faction system into place and don't fit any of the five factions. They are all assigned to a faction, but only mechanically. Unlike the true faction harlots, they don't contribute to the hidden score which determines the ending. The way the selection algorithm works, once a player has shown a preference to a particular faction, they will always get a pick from that faction as one of their three choices. However, as the filler harlots are mechanically assigned to a faction, they might show up in that slot instead. It's to add a little more randomness to the runs so the player doesn't find themselves going through the same sequence of harlots every time.
As for the leeches, there is a good chance they will be added as a full faction later on. They were only narrowly beaten to the spot by the artificial beings. I have a lot of ideas for various leech girls, probably enough to fill a faction. I even had Marwmellow design a faction symbol (it's on Suka's neck) to make it easier to move her into that new faction when I write more of her sisters.
And now for the in-universe lore stuff.
The leech girls are slightly more primitive succubi/lust daemons. They are very good at sucking the semen and other fluids out of men, but lack the subtly, finesse and charm magic of 'true' succubi. That doesn't mean they're weak. Some leech girls, especially the Queen, are very powerful.
There is an animosity between them and another group of primitive lust daemons – the vampires. The vamps are a strange offshoot of lust daemon, likely corrupted from originating from one of the border regions of hell. They have more finesse and similar mesmeric abilities to 'true' succubi, but access the soul and energy of their prey through the blood rather than semen.
The leeches and vamps hate each other. The 'true' succubi think both are primitive and inferior, and therefore beneath them.
(From this you can see that I really want to add both factions at some point!)
Despite the leech girls having some leech-like elements, they drink semen, not blood, and will likely fly into a rage if you bring them blood as a gift.
Suka has an interesting personality. From looking into human desires, she's decided playing a more dominant role naturally suits her. However she has some of the self-control issues common to her type of lust daemon and is very self-conscious about them. This leads to her revealing moments of vulnerability when she fails to control her feeding instincts.
As she's one of the more popular harlots, I thought I'd have her pin-up be a little more risqué and show off more than the others. Although what she's showing off is a reminder she's most definitely not human!
Art is again by Marwmellow. I think he did a good job of depicting her, and I hope you think the same.
It was a couple of days late, but I finally got the new release of House of Hellish Harlots out at the end of the month. This is v0.055 and adds the first mini-boss, the artificial scylla Rwberia Godr-0-sgwid, to the House. I'm still not happy with the algorithm to determine 'perfect matches' and Bad Ends, but for now she's functional. I'll go back later to tweak that.
For the rest of the week I've been working on the next 'mini-boss'. This is the long-awaited Temptacia scenario. I'd already written most of the start of the scenario during that period of flailing around a month or so back. I finished that off and typed up about a 1,000 words of it. I just have her separate scenes to write now. I'm currently most of the way through her paizuri scene. I'm planning to give her four other scenes - mouth, feet, sex, anal. (Patreon is flashing that warning message again, so replace 'mouth' with what Temptacia will be doing with her mouth. ;) )
I've also modified my plans for how the mini-bosses will work. They have multiple scenes because the harlot choice for their round will be limited and I don't want the player getting bored going through the same scene multiple times. Originally, they were going to give the player a free choice of all their options, but I'm going to change this to a limited choice. The House is pretty lethal and I feel what will happen is players will feel pressured to keep taking the known "safe" option in order to progress. To get around this, the mini-bosses will offer a limited choice instead. So, rather than giving the player a choice of all 5 of her scenes, a mini-boss like Temptacia will pick two of her five scenes at random, and give the player the choice between them.
This will also give an additional use for the "surrender" gift, the Black Rose. If the player brings that, the mini-boss harlot will give them a free choice of all her options. However, as usual, the player won't be leaving the room afterwards!
Unfortunately, I'm going to keep #MonsterGirl24 on pause. I want to focus everything on House of Hellish Harlots at the moment for a big push to get both the first round of mini-bosses out and the more advanced version of HoHH with the art.
The time I would have spent on #MonsterGirl24 is currently tweaking some of the old scenarios for that advanced version. Now that I've figured out a way to do it without it taking more time than is worth it, I've been adding repeat vision options to harlots where it's relevant (usually the ones that give players choices). This is just minor tweaks to dialogue and text, and is fairly quick to write and implement.
Also, now that most of the harlots are written, I might expand the harlot hint system. This is where the harlot likes the player enough to give them hints or fragments of background lore on other harlots. Sapoonis already had this as a test case. I've updated her to give hints on actual harlots in the House rather than placeholders that don't currently exist. I'm also looking to add it to other harlots where it makes sense, maybe as part of their repeat visits, so they actually have a use.
Overall, I've tested nearly all of the 36 Tier 1 harlots for the advanced version of HoHH with art. There are about 8 or so remaining where I'm just tweaking them to add simple repeat visit functionality. The last major chunk of work will likely be writing Suffocatrix Assphyxia's full repeat visit, as - like Mamilla - that will lead to a non-standard Ending where she takes the player off to be her smother toy. I want to get Temptacia's release ready for the end of the month before getting sidetracked on that.
The art for the advanced version is also going really well. All of the Tier 1s of Faction 3 are now in (that's Calliophi's portrait above) and I've sent off the descriptions for the next batch. There are two batches to go and then I'll have art for all of the 36 Tier 1 harlots. As Marwmellow takes about a month per batch, I think I'll hold back the release of a proper full HoHH1.5 demo until I have all the art in and don't have to use placeholders. This should give me a chance to get the remaining testing done and maybe also overhaul some of the placeholder UI elements.

After taking a week off to finish off HoHH v0.055, it's time to return to the harlot spotlights. This week it's the infamous "Dick-Destroying Fairy": Sgriosar Balgan-Buachair.
Sgriosar is one of the succufairies. I'll talk about them in more detail when I get to Cèis nan Cridheachan. The main spark of demented inspiration was to look at starfish and use that to solve the "fairy problem". The succufairies are too small to fit a penis inside them, so the solution is to have them evert their vaginas inside out and enfold the penis that way.
(It's me, what did you expect!)
Cèis was the first and "vanilla" implementation of the idea. As frequently happens, writing her gave me inspiration for other succufairies. As if Cèis isn't already weird enough, I then had Balla – who is able to evert her vagina into a man's ass to massage his prostate. If Balla can do that, then what about an even more skilled succufairy able to evert her vagina down a man's urethra?
And then horror-head hijacked the proceedings by having her be able to… I won't spoil it for people that haven't read her scenario, but be warned, it is rather gruesome and not very erotic.
To be honest, I thought that was a bit too far, even for me.
I was very hesitant about including her. What swung it over was coming up with a back story to explain how she became like she was. And in coming up with the back story, it also gave me an idea for a side quest where – if the right conditions were met – the player could eventually "fix" her.
The side quest ideas are stubs for now. I implemented one for Suffocatrix Mamilla as proof of concept and I have ideas for more. First priority is to get all the basic harlots in place, including the mini-bosses and queens. Then I'd like to add some little side quests leading to various secret endings. Sgriosar will likely figure in one of those.
As for the lore.
The Elegant Woman has the full story if you speak to her. Sgriosar was a fairly talented succufairy with a similar philosophy to Calliophi – giving pleasure is more important than taking souls.
Then something went wrong. A human broke free of her restraint magic and – maddened by the state of arousal she'd induced in him – attempted to use her like a fleshlight. Being a daemon, she was durable enough to survive that, but the experience traumatised her.
It's not really stated by the Elegant Lady, but with Sgriosar it was less the physical trauma (daemons in this universe have fairly strong regenerative capabilities) and more a sense of betrayal. Succufairies are soul stealers. Without The Madam's rules what they normally do is restrain a man with magic, pop out their vagina to envelop his dick, and then catch his soul with it after they make him ejaculate. Sgriosar is similar to Calliophi in that she puts her own hungers and desires aside to focus on providing purely beneficial pleasures. She made a sacrifice, and then to have it go wrong as it did was a mortal wound to her belief system.
Poor Sgriosar is a very broken little fairy.
I think Marwmellow's art does a great job of reflecting that. It's a really moody piece that depicts her perfectly.
I hope people like it. I appreciate it's not the conventional sexy you might expect to see in a H-game, but I really like it as a character piece. Let me know what you think below.
It took a bit longer than I'd like, but I now finally have version 0.055 of House of Hellish Harlots ready for release. Once again, apologies for the delay. This was a big beast of a scenario that fought me all the way. I also ran into some problems with the algorithm used to determine whether the player survives or not. More on that later.
This release is a special one as it adds the first 'mini-boss' harlot to the House. These are higher ranking harlots within their respective factions and will be fixed to only show up on rounds 5 and 9 as sort of checkpoints. That's still a few releases off, so for now the mini-bosses will show up and can be requested the same as the other harlots.
Rwberia Godr-0-sgwid Rwberia (it's pronounced Ruberia) is a special creation of The Doctoress - an artificial scylla with multiple suction tentacles to milk the cum from a man. She has a wide variety of tentacles - some reminiscent of real-life sex toys, others that are far more exotic. Each specialises in a different kind of stimulation, and Rwberia is aiming to trigger a critical ejaculatory response that will enable her to suck all the semen (and other fluids) out of a man.
Failing that, she'll be happy with sucking a load (or three) out for her producer.
This should also give an idea of my plans for the special 'mini-boss' scenarios. Because they have a fixed round, I wanted to give them a variety of H-scenes for the player to choose, so that the player won't get bored encountering them on subsequent runs.
I may have gone slightly overboard with Rwberia as she has 13 different specialised tentacles she can use on the player. Each scene is quite short, but that should give the player plenty of replay options every time he encounters her.
The other mini-bosses will likely have a smaller selection of scenes (around 5), but they will be longer.
They probably also won't have such a complex mechanic at the heart of the scenario to determine whether the player leaves afterwards or gets sucked dry.
That is one of the reasons why this release is a few days late. I had what I thought would be a really good idea to determine whether Rwberia's tentacle would suck the player dry or not. While that would work nicely with pre-built characters, for characters with random stats, it didn't work too well. Rwberia ended up being a little too lethal, and repetitive, as it was often the same tentacle doing the lethal sucking. I've tweaked it to get the survivability rates up, but I'm still not totally happy with it.
While the rules are fixed under the hood, it's probably going to be very difficult for the player to spot what's going on, which will make Rwberia a bit of a Russian Roulette octopus. Some visits will be fatal, and so disguised that the player might have a lot of trouble trying to work out why they were fatal. This is something I'd like to rectify in a future release, but for now this is also well overdue, the survivability rates are roughly about right as they are, so she'll be a scary Russian Roulette octopus for a bit until I can replace it with something better.
I've attached the raw .html in a zip file. As with the other releases, unzip and you should be able to play the file in your default browser.

A quick update post. The proper update will be the release notes for the HoHH release, which I'm hoping I'll put out later today.
It's a big scenario, almost a mini-game in itself. I'm down to some last bits'n'bobs to finish off and then a lot of testing to make sure everything is working okay.
I'm going to work my ass off on it today to try and get it out before tonight. If not, early tomorrow.

I've finally managed to find my 'high gear' as I hit the final straight and work has been progressing very well on her this week.
However... it's a big scenario, bigger than any previous scenario I've added to HoHH and has a relatively complex mechanic determining Ends under the hood. In word count alone it's not far off 20K words, which is about a third or quarter of a novel in length. To put it in perspective, if I'd stuck to my original plan for HoHH of very short scenarios of 1-1.5K words, Rwberia would be 13 harlots in one.
I've already implemented her core and a few of her tentacles, so that's roughly in place. Implementing the remainder of her tentacles shouldn't take too long. I still have a couple of tentacles to finish off writing, as well the Elegant Woman and Portly Gentleman segments (those are always written after implementation so I know what hints to give the player and what to reward them for). I also need to tweak the code that determines the Ending to get the right balance between player survivals and Bad Ends.
I'm going to throw everything into getting it out at the end of tomorrow (the 31st). My gut feeling is it will spill out past that. Because of the complexity, I think I'm going to need a solid half-day or day of testing on top. So my estimate is a Jun 1st or Jun 2nd release.
To fully focus on getting it out (now that it is finally near completion), I'll be pushing the harlot spotlight I was originally planning to put out today (Sgriosar) to next week.

This week I think I finally broke the back of the Artificial Scylla.
8 of her tentacles are fully written and typed up. 4 are coming along nicely. That just leaves 1 I haven't started, but as that's the 'death' choice, it's a fairly straightforward run to a Bad End and should be less complex than the others.
She also now has a name - Rwberia Godr-0-sgwid. (Think of her first name as 'Ruberia'.)
I'm currently playing around with her mechanics. The initial idea I had for determining whether the player survived ended up being a little too harsh, so I'm currently tweaking that a little.
Overall she's easily the most complex harlot scenario so far. She might even be more complex and longer in word count than my original "Escape the" mini-scenarios. Ironically, if I'd known I'd be creating scenarios like this, House of Hellish Harlots would likely have been a much more manageable game with just 10 harlots (but with more detailed scenarios).
Ah, but that's enough bitching. I'm making progress and the final game will be better for it!
It will be tight, but barring unforeseen circumstances, I should be able to complete Rwberia and put a proper release out by the end of the month (or very soon after depending on implementation and testing).
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to keep the other things on hiatus while working on this. I think I need a few weeks of sustained focus on the HoHH round 5 mini-bosses to get that project back on schedule again. More on those plans after I get the artificial scylla release out!
The harlot spotlight today is on one of the more interesting harlots in the House – Sammy. This does present me with a little bit of a dilemma as it's very difficult to talk about Sammy at all without revealing massive spoilers. As the Harlot Spotlight series is an in-depth look at a character (as well as revealing their artwork), I don't think I can avoid this. So, I'll put a big spoiler warning on this post and direct readers to play through her scenario first (and talk to The Elegant Woman afterwards).

Ok, so let's get into it.
Sammy isn't a succubus. She's a human disguised as a succubus.
There are hints of this throughout her scenario. If the player has a high enough INT, they will notice her horns are fake and easily knocked askew. The big tell is if the player visits her after being heavily drained by the other harlots in the House. She's not a succubus. She doesn't have supernatural sexual powers. If the player shows up empty, he's not going to be able to get an erection and Sammy doesn't have the ability to force it, because she's just a regular – if very attractive – human woman.
She also can't Bad End the player. At all. This is to balance out harlots like Morticia Rose, who will always end the player's run if selected.
Despite this, her scenario is surprisingly complex under the hood. Sammy checks a number of the player's attributes to determine how much she likes the player character. This affects her dialogue. Sammy is under the misapprehension she will eventually claim the soul of someone she has sex with and become a full-fledged succubus. If she really likes the player, she'll be glad he's not the one and give them more lore on the House. If she doesn't like the player, she'll keep quiet about it and behave more like a typical dispassionate prostitute.
I intended Sammy's scenario to be a storyline stub. There are a few harlots where I have ideas for little 'side questlines' where the player can unlock special repeat and future encounters possibly even leading to alternative endings. Suffocatrix Mamilla was the test case for this, although it's very difficult to trigger it with the demo reduced to 5 rounds.
Sammy's questline will likely have the player freeing her from the succubus currently tormenting her.
I don't want to go too deep onto those as my major priority is getting all the base scenarios in place so I have a fully working game.
Unfortunately, while I've had a lot of patrons ask me, Sammy will not turn into a full succubus. One of the "rules" I have for my universe is that regular humans cannot turn into succubi. This is to avoid the 'vampirism/lycanthropism as super powers' trope that was very popular in fiction (especially YA fiction) for a while. I probably lean more on the erotic side of erotic horror, but my horror instincts are still very strong. I really hate that trope with a passion as it sucks the mystery and scare factor out of perfectly good monsters.
So there won't be any humans getting cool succubus superpowers on my watch! If it does happen, it will be a very rare, complex and difficult process and afterwards there won't be much left of the human's original personality. This is one of my internal worldbuilding rules to prevent the setting getting too silly and out of control.
So, no Succubus Sammy, sorry.
However...
Now we come to the background lore part, which is a little more tangled with her game mechanics.
The Elegant Woman will reveal most of this if you speak to her after visiting Sammy. If you speak to her beforehand, she'll wind you up into thinking Sammy is a dangerous and powerful succubus, because it amuses her.
Sammy was part of a group of girls that unfortunately found themselves trapped in the House. Sammy's friends were drained to death pretty soon after entering. Unfortunately for Sammy, she caught the attention of a really spiteful succubus, Saeva Diabolia. There are hints that there is an element of jealously to this, as Sammy is a stunningly attractive human woman (she would need to be to pass as a succubus in a House full of stunningly attractive succubi).
For her sport, Saeva told Sammy she must work in the House and fuck enough men until a magic sigil placed on her body activates and turns her into a succubus. This is all lies. A cruel practical joke for Saeva and her friends to torment Sammy with.
However, there are harlots within the House that are a little more sympathetic to Sammy's plight. The Devotees of Priti Nāndyāh (the 3rd faction focused on sensuality), who prize the act of giving pleasure, have noticed Sammy's efforts and would like to bring her into their fold. Humans cannot become succubi, but they can be taught various techniques and even in some cases, actual magic.
Canonically, there are some interesting future possibilities for Sammy. My idea for her is that she is eventually broken free from Saeva, the Devotees of Priti Nāndyāh do take her under their wing, where she proves to be a very dedicated and adept student.
Humans cannot become succubi, but they can wield sex magic as witches and sorceresses. What Sammy does when she eventually leaves the House, whether she uses her new abilities for good or evil, that will make for some interesting future stories...

I'm currently showing off the Faction 2 (Artificial Beings) Tier 1 harlots. This week it's the unusual N-Carnizadalama. She looks like a fiery flamboyant flamenco dancer. What she actually is... is not that.

I didn't quite break the back of the artificial octopus, but I did make solid progress last week.
She's fiddly in a similar way to writing Succuba was. None of her segments are particularly long in word count, but there are a lot of them. Then there was that panic when I wasn't writing her fast enough to hit release deadlines, which slowed it down even more.
Currently, her core and 4 tentacles are fully written and typed up. 5 tentacles are in varying degrees of progress. 4 I've yet to start on. It's still a fair bit to go, but I felt on top of things last week. There was less scratching around and more things getting done and checked off. I think I'll speed up now the end is definitely in sight.
I estimate the final word count will be around 15K words (ie about a quarter of a regular novel).
Are all mini-bosses/queens going to be this awkward?
I hope not!
The artificial scylla is a little different from the base idea in that there are 13 options for the player to choose (this is to stop Round 5 becoming stale on subsequent playthroughs). This turned out to be a little bitty and stop-start to write, which got panicky when I started missing deadlines. Once I get the first min-boss out and settle down, I think the others will be much smoother to write.
The other aspects of HoHH development are running smoothly. Marwmellow is currently on the Tier 1 harlots of the 3rd faction. I'm currently testing and fixing bugs for the 5th faction Tier 1 harlots that don't need repeat visit functionality.
I'll keep #MonsterGirl24 on hiatus until I'm sure I've finally got Artificial Scylla out of the way. I'm hoping that will be next week, then I can get that up and running again, as well as other things such as those updated H-space stories.
Apologies for this slightly lengthy period of being stuck in low gear. I think I finally might be clawing out of it and will be back to making solid progress again.
Okay, technically I've already spoiled this artwork, but I thought I'd give her the full spotlight treatment anyway. So here is some stuff on Succuba.
Succuba is another 'game mechanics' harlot. There's a probably a technical term for what she is in game design, but I don't know what it is and in the absence of that I'll call her a Resource Converter. If your game has multiple forms of resources/'currency', there is usually something that can convert one resource to another.
Succuba doesn't belong to any faction. Visiting her won't advance the player to any of the specific faction endings. What she does, in abstract game design terms, is allow the player to convert Semen to Coins. While in her room, the player has complete freedom to choose how many times they want to come (up to their limit). The Portly Gentleman (the 'money' NPC responsible for 'rewarding' the player with Coins to buy things in the House) pays out depending on how many times the player comes. There is game lore slathered over the top, but in simple terms it's a way for the player to convert an amount of semen of their choice to an equivalent number of coins.
Succuba was one of the original placeholder names and topped the poll of placeholders people wanted to see get a full scenario. Because of this, I wanted to make her a little special and currently she has the most amount of different H scenes of any harlot in the House.
But not too special, as I've already gone way above what I originally intended to write for this game project. All of her scenes are fairly short and this is explained in-universe as Succuba being a sort of jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none.
Which leads nicely to the lore aspects.
Given complete freedom, about 90% or more of the lust daemon harlots in the House would not hold back in using their abilities to seduce/capture/restrain a man and then suck out his fluids/life/soul until dryfish. The only thing stopping this is The Madam having a weird concept of 'fair play' and imposing weird constraints on 'her gals'.
Succuba is one of the harlots who have figured out that the more compliant they are to The Madam's wishes, the more men they will introduced to (and can feed off). She has taken this compliance to the extreme, to the point she's pretty much a common prostitute with additional succubus abilities.
She's all about getting the man in her bedroom, getting him off as quickly as possible (as many times as he can manage), and then getting him out as fast as possible to make room for the next man. This is reflected in her scenario. She offers a wide range of 'services', but all are short and quick.
It's also reflected in her repeat visits. She doesn't care anything about the man other than getting his tasty 'cream', and makes no attempt to get to know or remember him (which also makes it very easy to implement repeat visits for her!).
As a result she isn't liked too much by the other harlots. They think she acts too much like a common human whore and doesn't put enough pride in her technique.

I did consider switching to one of the smaller harlot scenarios, but I don't actually have many of those left to write. Maybe 5, and all deep in Tier 3.
So, I just rolled up my sleeves and got back to wrestling that artificial octopus. There was progress there. It's still a little slower than I'd like, but I think this one is just going to fight me all the way. At the moment it's a chaotic mess of multiple half-written suction tentacles, so I focused on getting that a little more organised. It's looking better, but I thought that before. I'll see if I can finally break the back of it next week.
Testing is also progressing fairly smoothly. There are a few harlot scenarios I need to tweak because some information has changed, and a couple I'd like to add some rudimentary return visit functionality where it can be done cheaply with some minor dialogue changes. I'm putting those aside until the rubber octopus is done and I feel like I'm back on a regular schedule again.
I'm through all my notes for future/maybe harlots and monster girls. I'm going to pause #MonsterGirl24 for a week. This is to give me a chance to come up with some new ones, but also because I want to concentrate on getting a lot of writing done on the artificial scylla next week, and don't want any distractions!
I think things are tentatively better. I'll get a better idea after next week.
On the plus side, the harlot art is still rolling in. Can't wait to get that proper demo out with all the graphics and art!

Continuing the harlot spotlights and this time I have art for the most recent character to show up in the House – the cow girl nurse Friesya Holstun.
She's another 'game mechanic' harlot in that she's an independent whose scenario serves a specific in-game purpose, kind of like landing on a bonus square in a board game. She's also an unplanned addition. I've had all the remaining slots pretty much planned out for about a year now. This didn't include Friesya. She's an extra I added on top.
There are a couple of reasons for this.
The first is that I realised I needed an additional way for the player to recover Semen Count. There is an NPC within the House, Nurse Honey, who already has this role, but... ah, it's Nurse Honey, anyone familiar with her from my Succubus Summoning series will know there are costs there. Debts need to be repaid...
At some point I will go through and properly rebalance how much semen is required to escape the House. I felt I also needed to give the player the chance of a random boost, so they have a little more leeway in how much semen they can 'spend'. Friesya is intended as that, but also with an appropriate Bad End trigger that fits quite nicely with her bonus-providing abilities.
The second reason is that the game lore hints there was another nurse, also a buxom cow girl, present there before Nurse Honey installed herself in that role. I think if you're creating an erotica game, you can't tease the presence of something and not have it show up later. So, I needed a buxom cow girl nurse harlot the player could visit.
Art is again by marwmellow. I maybe should have specified a nurse's cap to go with the fetish nurse outfit, but it fits in that Friesya is not yet a nurse.
And the in-universe lore.
My setting is a little different to traditional monster girl fantasy settings. All of the harlots are daemons from the Dominion of Lust. That means that rather being a typical fantasy monster girl cow girl, Friesya is a succubus lust daemon that has the appearance and similar attributes to the typical fantasy monster girl cow girl (big tits, produces lots of milk).
This distinction is quite relevant should anyone have sex with a lust daemon cow girl. While their milk has fabulous restorative properties, they need to get the energy to create it from somewhere. They drain it from men when they have sex with them, and they can drain it very quickly, being able to completely empty a man of all fluids in one big suck.
Friesya is trying very hard to control her instincts, albeit without much success.
She's not actively malicious. She desperately wants to be The House's Nurse and is working hard to achieve that end. Unfortunately, her nursing abilities are quite limited. She can restore a man's vitality by letting him drink her milk, but is pretty much clueless when it comes to curing other ailments.

Unfortunately, I'm probably only going to use her portrait in the game rather than the full piece. Originally, my plan was to show the full pinup as the girl is introduced during the choose-a-harlot phase. However, this creates problems for the more monstrous girls. The House has a kind of illusion magic that makes lamias, arachnes and similar appear as regular girls (so not to frighten away potential visitors). This would mean I'd need separate pinup pictures for their illusory and real forms, and I don't have the budget for that. So I changed the code for harlot selection to only show the portrait. This also adds a nice bit of risk/reward as to see the full art, the player has to pick her and go up to her room.
Now I've settled on that plan, it will mean I need to commission an additional piece of Couchelaxa at some point. She is a bit of a special case, as I wanted to use some misdirection to make players think they're dealing with an invisible woman when in fact she's an artificial slime girl masquerading as a bed.

#131 Boob Witch An evil eldritch entity that haunts a specific building. Any visitors are drawn into a pocket dimension of gigantic boobies. They are squashed between them and subjected to unearthly pleasures until their mind breaks and their soul is absorbed by the Boob Witch.
I have this pencilled down as a novel idea. It's a fairly nasty subversion of series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The protagonists think they're going to fight horrors with pluck and gumption, but instead it's a horror plot played straight as they are separated, isolated and consumed one-by-one by the Boob Witch. At least she treats them nicely for their Bad Ends.
#130 Absorbing Paizuri Succubus A busty succubus with big soft tits. She wraps them around a cock and her tits are so soft the penis sinks right into and is absorbed by them. She pulls the man up onto her lap and slides her tail under and into his ass. She slowly drains his lifeforce with her tits while stimulating his prostate with her tail.

Stressing over missing another end-of-month deadline locked me up. I realised I needed a break and used the release of Stellar Blade as an excuse to take the week off. Sometimes you need a break to recharge the batteries.
I did keep the regular posts going. It's good to have them for those periods when the muse is stubbornly non-compliant!
Marwmellow has nearly finished another batch. I've sent him the descriptions for the next lot.
We have some very nice art of Suka (and the full piece is NSFW, I know I tend to regular pinup over sexy for most of these). One thing I forgot to put in the description is Suka doesn't have teeth (being a leech daemon). I'm not sure whether to keep her pic as is, or see if Marwmellow can remove that little flash of white behind her pout.

I'm still concerned with the fight I'm having over the mini-bosses. I might have hyped them up too much in my own mind and maybe I'm subconsciously scared of not matching expectations. When I get back to it next week I'll see how things are. If I still feel stuck I still have some regular harlots to write for the last remaining slots. Maybe that to just get something ready to release might take the pressure off and I'll finally get one of these bigger mini-boss scenarios out.

I'm bumping the harlot spotlights up to weekly for a while. I have quite a few pieces of art stored up and I want to get as many of the Tier 1 harlots done as I can before they get revealed anyway when I put the upcoming demo out.
At the moment I'm running through the independent game mechanic harlots. These are in the game to fulfil a specific function for the game. Some are helpful. Others are not. Morticia Rosa, the harlot under the spotlight today is most definitely not helpful!
Morticia Rose was one of the first harlots. Her function is to kill the player, and that's all.
The core game loop of HoHH is each round the player is presented with a choice of 3 harlots. They must pick one and then go to up her room for either sexy times or death dependent on some hidden checks each harlot does. With Morticia there is no hidden check. She always kills the player. That is her role.
There's a couple of reasons for this. The first is to provide the potential of a deadly threat every round.
And then, after the player has figured out Morticia is a "death card" for subsequent runs, her appearing ups the tension as it cuts the player's choices down from 3 to 2 for that round.
Now given how dangerous most of the harlots are, you might wonder why even have Morticia. The reason is the selection algorithm for the final game will work differently than it does in the current demos. The selection algorithm has code to only pick harlots within the right round range. But, because the current demo is only the first 5 rounds, every harlot has been given a round range of 1-12 to ensure there is a chance they might show up. So, the player in theory can get a 1st round choice of three Tier 3 harlots, which is instant death unless the player is very lucky and can buy the relevant charm from the Buxom Lolibaba. This won't be the case in the final game. The Tier 3's will have a round range of 10-12, so they won't show up until the player has had a chance to pick up the things he needs to survive them.
The exception to this is Morticia. Her round range will always be 1-12, meaning she can show up at any time.
This is also reflected in the description and art. Morticia is not meant to be sexy. She's the creepy ghost child the player is supposed to avoid, which is what Marwmellow gave me.
This is probably not the titillating succubus art I'm guessing you'd like to see in a monster girl H-game. Which is also why I'm putting out four spotlights this month!
And onto the lore, which is deliberately sparce for Morticia.
Morticia Rose is not a lust daemon. I haven't narrowed down exactly what she is... yet. She's powerful, maybe some kind of shadow or darkness daemon… and now you know about as much as I do.
She's in the House because she wants to be. She thinks the Madam's game is fun and wants to play too.
The Madam would like to get rid of her but can't, so now she's resigned herself to Morticia being a slightly unfair component of her game. She also reasons that if a player picks Morticia over any of her other lovely succubus gals, that player probably deserves what's coming to them...

As for the first mini-boss. Writing the artificial scylla is proving a struggle. I'm making progress, but it's more like chipping at a wall than smashing right through. As a result my regular release schedule is a bit haywire. I apologise for that. Sometimes the muse is a bit stubborn. As soon as the scylla is ready, I'll release her, and then hopefully Temptacia not long after.
On the plus side, marwmellow being very efficient with the harlot art (which I'm using the $5 and $10 tiers to fund), does give me plenty to show off while I'm working on the first lot of mini-bosses.
Right. I'm actually pretty much through all of the spare ideas I had written down for HoHH. There were more than I thought, which allowed me to run this on autopilot for the first third of the year. Now I'm going to have to dream up some new sexy monster girls and lust demons.
#125 Gaseous Succubus Assassin A gaseous succubus that steals into bedrooms in the night, completely envelops a sleeping person and then slowly drains their vitality in an endless 'wet dream'. Her gaseous body has a more solid core that wraps around the sex organs and absorbs energy like a sponge.
This is a similar idea to The Wet Dream, a liquid slime girl assassin that functions very similarly. This succubus is gaseous rather than liquid, but is also a highly adept assassin as her gaseous form allows her to get into the most secure of rooms. Maybe her and the liquid version could be rival assassins for hire (or rather, for warlocks to summon).
#124 Rubber Airbag Pêl An early Pêl model that escaped destruction. She looks like a sexy girl dressed head-to-toe in tight black rubber. She lies on top of a large black rubber cushion that is also part of her body. She likes to set pit traps that result in men falling down onto her. To thank her for breaking their fall she insists they have sex with her. Then, when she has their penis in her vagina, she inflates the bag beneath her and forcibly sucks the semen, then life out of the man.
There probably isn't space to include her in HoHH. Maybe if I want to add more harlots to each faction later. I think she might work for a short story, though, either for H-space or on regular Earth. She has a sadistic streak and once she has man pinned to her rubber airbag with his cock inside her, she'll slowly taunt and tease while demonstrating just how much suction she can generate with the swelling airbag underneath. In lore, The Madam wanted her destroyed as she was capable of sucking all the insides out of a man and The Madam thought that was unseemly behaviour unbecoming of her 'gals'.
The next five entries are from an idea I had for a specialised Dark Elf assassination team. They worship a dark lust goddess, and – as part of their religion – they can only take a life after bringing them ultimate orgasmic ecstasy first. They have learned multiple special techniques to subdue and arouse men (and women).
#123 Dark Elf Sex Assassin – Harvester This is the final member of the team. Once the target is prepared, she will get on top and have sex with him. She is the favoured of their dark lust goddess and marked with a special crest on her belly. Her vagina is enchanted so that man's soul is pulled out at the moment of orgasmic climax and transmitted to their dark goddess of pleasure. This can only happen if the man is brought to the peak of orgasmic ecstasy. This is not a problem as she has trained to ensure she has complete mastery of her vaginal muscles and her sexual technique is unparalleled.
Yeah, I really need to do something with these five. This idea is too good not to use.

I'm still hacking away at her. Progress is a little slower than I'd like but I'm steadily increasing the word count and adding new suction tentacles. I think she's just one of those scenarios that will fight me all the way. I don't think I'll make the end of the month (again, sorry). I'll just keep working away on her and release her when she's done.
Thankfully, I have enough harlot art in now to push the spotlights and reveals to weekly. This should hopefully reassure people that the project is still moving even if the mini-bosses are taking longer to write than I'd like.
Here is a portrait of the stoner caterpillar girl, Kanna bi Grafolita. Which is quite good timing as I've just finished testing her as part of working through the 3rd faction harlots for HoHH 1.5. The overall piece is really good. I thought she's be one of the trickier harlots to depict, but marwmellow has done an excellent job with her. I can't wait to show her off.
Apologies for the fried release schedule at the moment. I'm hoping once I've written the first couple of mini-bosses I'll be able to get back to regular schedule again.
