Hellooooo Everyoooone!

Sorry I haven't been very active recently! The class I've been a part of is very intense! Today was the first time I've been able to check up on the Patreon in the past few weeks. But my class ends next Friday so that's very exciting for me!

So today's blog post is about chapter 15 of MY TOY. I think I may have gone a bit too far with the imagery in this chapter. And for that I'm sorry. Ever since I started MY TOY, I had planned on having Alex regress all the way. But I should've done it in a more tasteful way. Showing it in the way I did was too much for a comic and I'm sorry.

Moving forward I will not do a scene like that again, I promise! Short post for today, I'll be fully back and engaged in comic making starting next weekend!

MY TOY Chapter 15!!!

HELLOOOOOOOOO EVERYOOOOONE!!!!!!

THIS IS IT! FIND OUT THE FATE OF ALEX TODAY!! I hope you have been enjoying this story! It has been very fun to write! But as all good things do, this story is soon coming to it's end!

Next release is two weeks from now. It will be the next part of My Genius Daughter. Then, two weeks after THAT, prepare yourselves for the grand finale of this story! Chapter 16 will be the final chapter of MY TOY! Then two weeks after THAAAT, the grand finale of My Genius Daughter! THEN TWO WEEKS AFTER THAT! OH MY GOD!!! IT'S TIME FOR THE NEXT LONG RUNNING COMIC TO START!!!

But for real, I'm not really a fan of those long running comics that never ever end. Where the characters are kinda just treading water and not really going anywhere. I think both of my ongoing comics have come to their conclusions. I'm very glad you've been with me through them. I'm glad I get to do this and I'm glad I get to share these comics with all of you!

Maideneir Blog Post #3: THE SCHEDULE!!

I'd like to talk to y'all today about the schedule! I've never really been concreate on exactly what my release schedule is. And I've done that for a reason. When I started making comics, I had a dream... I would post a story every week! And I did with A Gray Day. Every week I had between 28-36 single pages that made up a part of a chapter. That would roughly be about 6-7 pages the way I make comics now.

The thing about those 28-36 pages a week was that I started them the Saturday morning after the Friday release. So basically my schedule was like this.

• Release a part on Friday

• Quickly do about 15 pages before Monday night for the preview for best buddies.

• Regret certain things I did in those 15 pages, but try and make up for it the next few days before the next Friday release

• Finish up Friday just in the nick of time (Sometimes I had to push the release to Saturday and have even less time for the preview.)

And I did that for A LOT of the chapters in A Gray Day, and some of the other shorter comics I released at the time. I stressed the crap out of myself. I could never seem to get ahead because I didn't want to go a week without posting anything! I felt like a bad person when I did that. And there were times when I didn't want to write anything and nothing felt right, but I just forced myself because I felt like I had to...

It is a contributing factor to why I went on hiatus. I was burnt out. I thought that I must just hate making comics. But, we've been over that. I realized I liked making comics and I really wanted to make them again and now I'm here! But when I started up again, I tried a new approach.

What I did was, early on, when I WAS SUPER EXCITED to be making comics again, I wrote a lot. Like A LOT A LOT! The first chapter I really came back for was chapter 3 of MY TOY. But those first two weeks I started up again back in May of last year, I wrote as much as I could! I made Gaining Control, I made a couple little 3 page comics on DeviantArt, I made a little 5 page comic called My Genius Daughter Turned Me Into Her New Mama, that turned into a comic way more than 5 pages.

But the thing was, I made these all really quickly! My idea was that I could build myself a little buffer. For example, on September 29, I released MY TOY Chapter 9 on Patreon, Chapter 5 on DeviantArt, but I was already working on Chapter 11. At first I felt bad, because I felt like I was betraying my original philosophy that I wanted to share everything I make with you guys. But when my move came up suddenly I was so happy that I had that buffer! I was able to take almost two months off to move to a foreign country and I never had to take a hiatus!

And when I finally got my computer here, I did the same thing. I spent a week getting really far ahead! That way, I can go back and just do a once through and do a little bit of editing before the final release.

Now for the current state of things! I don't think I've ever outright said it, but my release schedule works like this. 2 Monday's of previews for the Best Buddies, then a full release to all the Buddies on the First and Third weeks of the month! (Except for all the times I forget to press the publish button and it's a day or two late...) And then I try and post something for my BESTEST BUDDIES, as often as I can...

My job has me running all over the place all the time, I don't get a lot of time to just sit in one place and make comics anymore. So, I guess the moral of this post is, I do bi-weekly releases instead of weekly releases because I do a lot of my writing in a monster-fueled all nighter every couple of weeks or at like 1 page per night. And I post to make sure that if I have to go away for a month or two I don't have to say "sorry guys I can't post for the next month."

For example, I'm literally about to go to a month long school tomorrow, where I won't have access to my computer at all. But I already have posts scheduled until I come back! And I have my phone so I can respond to all of your comments!

I'm doing a poll today to see what y'all think about one off comics. I use to do them a lot, but kinda stopped. What do you think about shorter comics like Desperate Wish and To Be Free? Do you want more of those kinds of comics in addition to the main long running comic?

I guess "My Genius Daughter Turned Me Into Her New Mama" was supposed to be like that. I just ended up making it into its own long comic. But these actually short comics would be like 15-30 comic pages. I'd love to hear what you think!

Maideneir Blog Post #2: My Transgender Story

Hellooooooooooo Everyooooooooone!!

I hope you are all doing well today! Today's blog post is a personal one about myself! How I discovered that I'm trans and why I haven't been able to fully transition.

Unlike many transgender people, I didn't know I was trans until I was 12 years old. Growing up I hated being me, but I didn't know why. I found a lot of comfort in playing video games and playing pretend. I would always pretend to be someone else like, Link from Zelda, Sonic, Anakin Skywalker, ETC... I even tried to change my real name, but my Mom wouldn't let me. I just really didn't like being myself and I never knew why.

Then when I was 12, I was sitting in class and I overheard a conversation. A guy and girl were arguing about which gender had it easier. It was really dumb, the guy was like "well girls get to sit when they pee!" And the girl was like "ya well guys don't have to deal with periods!" And so on and so on. It was a really dumb throw away conversation, but it really got me thinking. For the entire summer after hearing that conversation, I was thinking about how much it would be cool to be a girl. Wearing cute clothes, putting on make-up, having boobs, having a child, just being seen as a girl... It would be a dream come true.

This feeling has never gone away. I want to be a girl still to this day. Even to the point that I had gone through the process and was receiving hormones. However, because of certain presidents and governmental decisions in America, I was afraid of losing my job. So I quit my transition and decided to just endure being a guy. For context, I'm a government employee. And I'm planning on continuing my transition once I leave.

As some of you know, I went on a looooong hiatus. The reason was because it was right after I decided to end my transition. I was very very sad. I couldn't bring myself to make these comics when I was so upset. I tried burying these feelings. To just accept, I'm a guy and there's nothing I can do about it. But after a lot of soul searching I realized, that making comics does give me a certain sense of comfort. I get to live my dreams through my own characters. It's a little sad, but it is helping me get through this.

I guess that brings me to today, I love making my comics. It gives me that little bit of comfort to make up for not being able to transition at this point in my life. And it gives me hope for the future in a weird way.

I guess for the discussion in the comments for this post... I'd like to hear any stories that you all are willing to share about your own transitions. Or struggles with transitions. I want to be a person you can open up to and talk about your victories or woes. Feel free to DM me if you want/need to talk.

Maideneir Blog Post #1: Porn Vs Story

I was thinking recently, I have a lot of people who are free patrons here. And I was wondering "what can I offer the people who are here for the vibes?" This is what I came up with! I'm going to be making these blog posts to talk to you guys! So please comment and I'll try and reply to everyone! I want you to know me more, but I also want to know the people following me too!!

So today's post is about the stories I write. Needless to say, there are sex scenes in my stories. Since I started making these comics, I've always wondered if people view them as porn. On one hand, there is explicit sex happening in my comics. On the other hand there are some chapters where there is not even any nudity.

In my opinion, I've always viewed my stories less as porn and more about the story. My favorite part about writing my comics is the transformation. How the character is feeling every step of their journey. And that journey sometimes includes having sex or exploring a changing body.

This is not to say that some of my stories I wouldn't consider porn. For example, You Never Really Know A Person and Gaining Control are more sex centric making them more porn-like. I would even call those Porn Comics. But my longer comics like A Gray Day, My Toy, My Daughter... I feel like those are comics with sex in them.

I guess, my point in all of these ramblings is that I wonder how many of the people who read my comics read them for the story. As opposed to reading them to... Well you know. I think the ratio between sex scenes and character scenes is an important factor when labeling something as porn or not.

Or I could be completely wrong and just having any amount of uncensored sex, in any media, immediately makes it porn. I would love to hear what you think!
